Regius allowed Dean Devlin to lead him away and as he approached the rest of the people here he stopped at the back row looking at the familiar faces other than the person wrapped in a hood. He couldn't see much of the person's features so he stopped looking and turned to the people he used to call friends before their families turned on him.
"Peter is alive as well. We were all the same age back then so he says that none of you can be held accountable for what happened to us. He's asked that I don't lump you all in with your parents and kill you on sight and I've agreed because he's looking forward to a day when you guys can take the place of your parents and do right by humanity as a whole. I've agreed but I'm not Peter, get in my way and I will put you down and if you get back up and still decide standing in my way is what you want to do then you will be put down permanently."
Regius looked at each of the 4 in turn before turning away and ignoring the people as he walked towards the portal in between two rows of prospective students. Regius grabbed a bracelet and slipped it on as he stopped right in front of the portal where Devlin stood.
"Am I able to take these bracelets off of other people?" asked Regius. Devlin nodded his head and Regius broke into a grin.
"What would happen if I'm the only one to come out with a bracelet?" "Then you'd be the only person in this class of Merlin university but please refrain from taking lives or eliminating everyone the school would be hurt by missing an entire grade's worth of tuition. We do have drones active in the world so that we can see the test." Devlin struggled to remove his look of shock for only a moment before explaining the rules of the exam for the absent Regius. Regius nodded once before turning and facing the whole crowd of students before projecting his voice with mana.
"Some of you may not know me, my name is Regius Lowe!" There was a collective gasp from everyone who heard the last name and Regius let them settle. A face in the crowd shouted back "I thought all of you filthy traitors were dead, no wonder the family leaders wanted you dead!"
The face in the crowd was pandering to the families but it didn't matter because that's what the families had wanted the common people to think. Regius shrugged off the comment and spoke again
"What they told you is not true! My family betrayed no one! The other families coveted what we had and feared my father for his strength but I'm here to tell you that not only did all of us not get slaughtered like the ten families intended, so all of the kids were thrown into private Arenas hosted by the Kord family. We were made to kill each other or do whatever else the Kord family found entertaining but I'm here to tell you that it need not concern any of you this is my warning stay out of my way to be students, not puppets, don't think the families are hot shit and forge your path in this amazing new world and pray it doesn't cross mine because I'm here to point out that none of you will ever stand at my level and it will be proven by the end of this test."
Regius turned back to the portal and Dean Devlin stepped in front of him. "Young Master, we are gonna have the students organize into parties you will need one as well so hold on a moment.''
Regius looked at him and smiled "When the university goes to the union 6 Months into the semester I plan to apply for a solo pass. I work better alone." Devlin was getting ready to speak again when Regius cut him off.
"Creation Spell equip Armor of the Devil King and Fool of Owari.'' Golden words burst forth around Regius as they wrapped around his body and then shattered leaving him covered from head to toe in a tight-fitting black outfit made out of some type of leather and cloth that formed around his muscles allowing for flexibility and light protection. A hood covered his head and a solid black form-fitting helmet now covered his face as the mana disappeared.
A simple smiley face adorned the front of the Helmet and it seemed to hum as if the smiley face came to life. Regius had a Hud come up that gave him information for temperature and wind speed as well as telling him of the life signature that stood in front of him. The back of the outfit was adorned with Nobunaga's crimson lotus. Regius spoke once again, "Petal of Wind". One of the petals began to glow green and with that Regius went around Devlin and fast as the Wind dove straight into the portal.
