A Blessing In Disguise

"Oh right!"

Song Xia smiled as she flipped her shiny blonde hair and asked, "How do I look?? Does the new hair color suit me??"

The two men were actually awed by her beauty, but they had to act cool otherwise the girl, in front of them, would fly to the cloud nine if they complimented her too much.

Ellen said nonchalantly, "Not bad."

While at the side, Tang Yan scoffed with ridicule, "Too bad! You look like a chicken!"

"..." Song Xia's mouth twitched with anger.

You're the chicken! Your whole family's a chicken!

She rolled her eyes as she left the room with an I-Don't-Care-About-Your-Opinion attitude.

After she left, Tang Yan looked at the 'arrogant' guy and said, "Breakfast is ready, come have it before it gets cold."

Ellen yawned lazily as he casually shot him a glare, "Eat it yourself!" He then left the room as well.

Tang Yan helplessly rubbed his temples. Were business meetings and dates more important than his priceless and precious breakfast?!

He put on a hurt and aggrieved expression on his face as if someone bullied him, before wiping his 'invincible' tears that only he could feel or see and exiting the room.

Song Xia put on the blue dress that she got from Tang Yan and was extremely satisfied with her look.

The blue dress was an off-shoulder dress with flower embroidery in it. It was light blue in color which exactly matched the beautiful sky outside today.

It was simple and suited Song Xia very well. She really liked this dress before and wanted to wear it but never got a chance to.

Song Xia thought that it was a perfect opportunity to wear it today. She put on some light makeup on her beautiful face before leaving her room.

Song Xia left the big house, humming a song merrily. She was in a good mood.

Song Xia took a taxi and went to the restaurant her 'boyfriend' picked for their date.

Ellen also left the house at the same time. He looked as the taxi disappeared into a distance and frowned, exuding a gloomy aura.

He gritted his teeth as he got inside his car, which drove away to his office.

Meanwhile, a certain someone who went by the surname Tang and whose breakfast was ignored for a 'date' and 'business meeting' was sitting alone on the large dining table, eating with 'tears' in his eyes.

Tang Yan sobbed as he silently stuffed the food in his mouth. He never expected his joke to backfire him like this!

Tang Yan felt lonely and betrayed as his head suddenly fell on the plate with a bang.

He suddenly realized that there was still food in the plate but he still didn't lift his head in the end.

He was currently the only person inside this enormous house, which was almost as big as a mansion, without any friend or companion.

Tang Yan raised his head and looked at the author through the screen, with a pitiful expression on his food-covered face.

Why did you... Why did I end up being the second male lead in this novel?!

There was food all over his face, so the author couldn't help but laugh.

He sharply gazed at the author for a while before crying with those 'invincible' tears. Even the author doesn't like me and bullies me!!

Zhang Qianmi grinned widely as she read the message sent by Li Ming. He was apologizing to her and agreeing to the marriage proposal at the same time.

How could she not feel amused?

She didn't know that old man would have a sudden heart attack, which will actually count as a blessing in disguise for her.

Now she'll be on top of the world while her elder sister (Zhang Qiao) would instead be the one who'll have to lower her (Qiao's) head in front of her (Qianmi) whenever she saw her.

She laughed out loud while thinking this, which made Zhang Hua who was seated beside her, startled.

He raised his brows as he asked coldly, "What's so good that you're laughing so hard almost making me deaf?!"

She was already such a burden to him and she was even trying to step on his head! He won't accept that!

Zhang Qianmi stopped laughing as a weird smile suddenly flashed in her lips before it turned back to the usually sweet one she had on earlier.

She then said in a very sweet tone, "Daddy! Brother Ming has actually agreed to the marriage proposal now!"

She was smiling like a filial daughter but inside, she was coldly sneering in her heart as she watched his dumbfounded expression from the revelation.

This scum father of hers always saw her elder sister, Zhang Qiao as a diamond and herself as a dirty coal.

She was already used to this biased treatment of his because ever since she stepped into this mansion, she would always be criticized and scolded for small things by her 'father'.

That's why she deeply hated both her father, who was partial and her elder sister, who always stole her limelight from Zhang Qianmi!
