While the commotion ensued, Ajena slowly dropped the gun and stared at the bloody Dino. Ajena kneeled and looked at the lifeless body of a zombie; even King was unable to move due to shock from the sudden events.
Ajena burst into tears, causing Kho and the others who just arrived to gasp, while Ariela could not walk due to the pain she felt in her stomach.
"Phil, leave us here," King struggled to control himself as he faced Phil.
"But!"
"NOW!" King shouted, so Phil and Kho pulled the others away quickly, leaving the place. King approached Ajena, hugged her while crying, and blamed himself for what happened. Suddenly, Ajena's body began to tremble.
" k-kill m-me King, HURRY!"
"No, I won't kill you until I show you how much i love you," King said seriously as he picked up Ajena.
"P-please aarrgh! K-kill me!"
King cried as he laid Ajena in a small hut behind the warehouse. Ajena started losing control of herself, so King tied her hands when she completely lost control and put something in her mouth and finally calm down.
"I love you, Ajena," King cried as he removed his clothes and kissed her then did something Ajena didn't expect.
"I'm sorry, Ajena, I love you," King said his last words before falling asleep.
Ajena woke up and cried when she felt she had regained control of herself, but she knew she would lose herself again soon. Ajena cried as she dressed and one last time look to King sleeping peacefully and kissing his forehead she left, not realizing she was walking away from the warehouse. Ajena's intense sobbing drew the zombies to follow her. They followed her until she climbed a tall building and reached the rooftop. Ajena looked up and smiled bitterly, seeing her parents and Dino in the sky.
"I never even got to find out what happened to you, Papa and Mama, but we'll all be together now " Ajena cried.
At the same time, Ariela was in labor, and everyone was worried because they couldn't find Ajena, especially when they noticed King was alone.
"Brother King?" Kho asked.
"S-sorry, she's gone," King said in a quiet voice, just loud enough for others and Ariela to hear.
Hearing this, Ariela screamed, and they cried at the news.
"I love you guys," Ajena smiled, stood up, and spread her arms wide.
"Aaaahh! Hoo hoo aaahh!" Ariela
"Keep going, Ariela! Just a little more push!"
"Calm down, Geo!"
"Big sister Ajena " Kho said.
"Aaah! sister! Aaaahh!"
"Almost there, Ariela! Just a little more! Keep pushing!"
"Aaaahh!"
"Uwaaah! Uwaaahh! Uwaahh!"
(Ajena's Poing of view )
The sky is so clear; time seems to slow down as I fall I closed my eyes and smiled, reminiscing about all the wonderful memories. I don't know why, but it felt like forever before I felt the impact.
I opened my eyes, but it was pitch black. Maybe I'm dead. Is this hell? Wait, what's that light? Something seems to be pushing me towards the light, so I closed my eyes.
'W-wait, what's going on?' I spoke, but something different came out of my mouth.
"Uwaaah! Uwaaahh! Uwaahh!"
Before i could react , I've pulled back in the pitch space/void for some reasons, I don't know what's going on. I'm sitting and floating like a ghost in this black space Just where the hell i am anyway?! And what with that earlier? I sounded like a baby! I need to calm down
Hours later...
I'm now Floating aimlessly in the pitch-black void. I try to move, to swim through this nothingness, but my efforts are futile. It's like being trapped in a dense fog with no sense of direction or purpose.
Why am I here? What is this place? I mutter to myself, the sound of my voice echoing softly around me. In this void, everything is ambiguous and unsettling. I try to focus, to remember how I got here. Is this where dead go?
Maybe there's a way out. But the more I struggle, the more I realize I'm trapped in a place where time seems to stand still. There's no day or night, no landmarks or signs of life. Just me and the darkness.
As minutes turn into hours, and hours into what feels like eternity, I begin to feel a deep sense of frustration.
With a sigh, If there's a lesson to be learned in this strange, eerie place, it's patience. Patience to endure the unknown, to wait for answers that may never come. And perhaps, in this stillness, I'll discover something about myself that I never knew before.I should move and exercise myself.
But for now, all I can do is float , exercise and wait. Wait for something to change,
Months have passed, and I'm still here, stuck in this endless black void. But last week, something unexpected happened. Why i know it's last week? Even so there's no night and day here? Well last week a Clock appeared with a date so that's the reason. Along with a pen and a book materialized before me, followed by a holographic TV screen that flickered to life, displaying scenes of the world—but only showing desolate landscapes inhabited by zombies. It was bizarre, to say the least.
I stared at the book in this dimly lit room. The holographic TV screen flickered with eerie images of desolate landscapes and zombies, casting an unsettling glow across the walls. That is Earth. Despite my initial shock, curiosity soon overtook me.
I reached out tentatively, my fingers tracing the smooth leather cover of the journal. It felt real and solid. The book seemed ancient yet well-preserved, emanating a faint aura of mystery.
With nothing but time on my hands in this timeless void, I hesitantly opened the journal. Inside, the pages were yellowed with age, yet the ink was surprisingly legible.
"The Story of My Life" was written on the first page. As I flipped through, there were no words. Was it asking me to write my life in this book?
Never mind! I don't think writing about my life will hurt anyway. So, I took the pen and wondered, where should I start? Oh yes, my name.
I'm Ajena Lawden. I have a younger sister named Ariela. My mom's name is Yeon-wa, and my dad was Paunin Lawden. Our parents were killed when we were 8 years old, so Master Hiroto and Auntie from my dad's side raised us. Master Hiroto became like a father to me and taught me how to defend myself, but Ariela wasn't allowed to learn from him, and I don't know why.
So, we lived in Bicol, Philippines. But then Auntie took us to Manila for reasons we didn't know. It was the first time I left our hometown. I hoped everything would be okay and happy. But at my first school, Saebom High School, I met Bea, the owner's daughter. She was angry with me because her ex-boyfriend Haerol Cha fell in love with me, even though I have dark skin and come from a poor family. I loved Haerol so much—
I stopped writing, remembering how Haerol saved me and died for me. I missed him deeply. After calming myself down, I continued writing.
I loved Haerol so much; he was my first boyfriend. But because of her father, the mayor, I had to break up with him. The mayor also ruined my mom's singing career when she was alive. I didn't want Haerol to marry Bea, and the mayor threatened to harm Ariela. So, we left and moved to another place, Angeles Street. Dad was a famous detective known as Detective Lawden. It was there that I met King. I enjoyed school and met siblings Paula, Pauline, and Piolo, along with Karlo.
That's when I discovered I had lost some memories but later recovered them. Paula became my girlfriend. I had an accident that made me lose my memory again. My aunt and sister didn't approve of me being a lesbian, so they hid the truth until I reunited with Paula. Sadly, during this time, a zombie outbreak happened, and Paula sacrificed herself to protect me.
After that, I tried to find my sister, who had been separated from me. I discovered she was pregnant. Along the way, King and I crossed paths while rescuing survivors and searching for Ariela. But then we were attacked by cars and exposed to smoke that made zombies aggressive.
Suddenly I stop and Stare at the book. Why?!
I Threw the pen away and looked up, gripping my hair in frustration. I can't help it, I started shouting and threw the book.
Yeah, right! I'm Ajena Lawden! I was the daughter of a detective and a famous singer, or at least, that's what I had believed. I'm just seventeen! I was supposed to be enjoying my high school life, but then the unexpected happened— A F*CKING ZOMBIE OUTBRREAK. I did everything I could to find my sister, who I discovered was pregnant. When I finally found her, a zombie bit me!
Is heaven angry at me?
Wanting my sister to be safe, I left her in the care of other survivors. It was then that I realized I was immune. I began saving as many people as I could, and they started calling her "Ms. Virgin." This nickname King was the one responsible to it. That guy!
I sighed as tears began to well up in my eyes. Why is this happening to me? I saved so many people and became a hero in ways I never imagined. But as I planned to reunite with my sister when I turned 18, the virus triggered and spread through my body, even though I thought I was immune. I can still remember everything that happened before I died—I killed Dino, and I made love with King. I'm grateful for those moments, but I'm so sorry, everyone. I'm really sorry.
I-I wish I could be by your side, Ariela. I wish I could see your baby grow up.
