Chapter 38 "Don't let go of me please!"

After a week of sorrows passed , Tessa finally decided to go back to office, she told herself that she will try her level best to forget him, but she will never quit her job because of thier misunderstandings, the job to her is far more important for her little sister's sake. She stood by her desk staring at Jordan's office for a while, "I can do this... I.. can do this for Milly... yes!" she motivated her spirit so they her mind could be clear, she sat down and started to work, since she was fine for a week she had a lot of workloads he head was spinning... Shortly afterwards Jordan and his PA arrived, there footsteps halted to see Tessa, she was so busy , Jordan's heartbeats accelerated

he never thought that Tessa would get back to work. He thought that she was gone for good, from his company as well as his life, Tessa lifted her head up to stretch her neck, she froze to see Jordan staring at her, her heartbeats sent a code too

she swallowed and got up from her chair to greet him formally at her boss, something that never happened before one week ago, "Good morning sir!" she said and bowed. Jordan felt like he was slapped right through his face by her words, he clenched his fists but his face was calm, "Morning " he said walking to his office with his PA behind him, "Wow sir! Miss Tessa is back, I can't believe it" said Pharell placing the suitcase on his table. "Indeed , itnis unexpected " said Jordan opening the shutters a bit to look at her once - upon - time girlfriend, the moment she called him sir he felt like he was pricked at his heart. Tessa became distant all of a sudden, she meant they were over or else she wouldn't have called him so formally like that, "You may go" said Jordan and Pharell walked out the office, on his way out.... he stared at Miss Tessa if she would at least spare a glance at him, but regardless of the clicking sounds of his shoes... Tessa never lifted her head up to look at him and just carried on with her work. He pouted and walked away. Meanwhile Jordan couldn't focus on his work, and was only thinking about Tessa, "No! I won't give up on you" he uttered picking up his phone and dialled, Tessa stared at the phone for a second before picking up, "Come to my office please!" he said and hang up , for the first time Jordan was begging her to come to his office, that 'please' wasn't a simple word to him but he said to her....♡

Tessa picked up a file and went to her boss's office, "Today's report sir, a contract signing with the investors from Italy, a meeting with the shareholders at 7 : 00, and a weekly meeting with the financial department, that will be all for today sir" she placed the file on the table and was about to walk out the office but Jordan blocked her way with a smirk, "Is ther anything wrong sir? I thought I said loud enough for you to hear sir" she said looking right into his eyes, "Sir! Sir! Sir my foot!" he yelled and broke the case of flowers on a mini table making her startle, "I'm tired of the word Tessa! it's hurting me!" he said holding her shoulders, "Hurt?... hurt wow! and what about me.. do I have a stone instead of a heart? or then what should i call somebody's fiancee?... you tell me sir" she uttered shedding tears profusely, "Tessa i thought i made myself clear that day, I have nothing to do with her trust me please " his eyes became moisty all of a sudden, "Oh... and how do you expect me trust you huh? she is your fiancee and everyone including your family knows it, but me! .... I'm just a non existent girlfriend, now let go of me!" she gritted her teeth trying to get out of hi strong arms, "Tessa I love you!" he confessed ... She lifted her angered face at him with tears falling down "No you don't! let go of me Jordan!" she tried her best to push him away but Jordan hugged her forcefully and locked her in his embrace, "Don't let go of me please! ... please Tessa" he said sobbing under her neck, for the first time in his life he felt so weak and helpless....♡
