Carpets
"Cheng er.. I was wrong, don't be angry," Lian Se decided to act docile and obedient, she had noticed a change in his mood earlier. After all, their marriage is of convenience and if things were to go awry her parents won't be happy and that would give her step sister a chance to shine. Ru Ran was stunned at the entrance of their home. The beautiful marble floor has been replaced by walnut plush carpet. Even the beautiful staircase was covered by carpet. The whole house flooring had been replaced by carpets! Any sharp visible edges all been covered by soft padding. The previous elegance of her home can nowhere be seen. Looking at how serious the man beside her waiting for her approval, she did not have the heart to upset him. She swallowed the earlier words she had wanted to say, which was to protest that she is not a fragile glass instead she nod her head of approval. The man beside her could not help but beamed with pride.
She could not help but chuckle looking at how satisfied he was with his masterpiece.
"How's the carpet? Soft and nice? Warm right? I have discussed with the paediatrician and he said carpets as long as clean regularly, it should be alright for babies, I planned to install rubber mats for the playroom and have the walls padded in the room and maybe common areas where our child would run around and play, now that you are back, of course these task would naturally fall in your hands, I wanted us to decide and not decide on my own," he said.
"If you don't like the carpets, we can remove them after your delivery," he added on. He knew despite her nod of acceptance, he could sense her hesitation and the pause on her face when she first entered the door.
Her heart could not help but feel warm, this man had always placed her well being first before anything else, taken her feelings into consideration at all times, how could she not love him more each day?
She blinked the tears of joy away, and just shook her head, let these sea of carpets be a reminder to her everyday of his love for her despite it being aesthetically not so pleasing to the eyes but definitely heart warming.
Ji Yu panicked at the sight of her tears, he was flustered and asked if she was in pain, and her legs were cramping. It was a thousand and one questions because he was worried about her.
