Chapter 223

Despite my embarrassment, there was no way that I would remain in the bush in such a position, so I had to suck it up and call out to him

" I am over here, I have my hands raised". I replied back to him. I knew that it would not be easy for him to locate me just based on the sound of my voice and it's direction but from observing them and their raw or natural instincts that were innate in them, it was not going to be a difficult task for him but I did not want him to take any more time longer than necessary as I want to be away from here as soon as possible. It did not take long before I heard his footsteps coming towards my direction,

" Make sure you do not look, avert your face the closer you get to me" I asked him or to be frank, demanded of him but I had to do so, so the both of us would be able to get through this embarrassing situation unscathed, me especially. I heard him growl under his breath, it was so obvious that he was getting tired and also becoming angry with me.  This was definitely the reason why no woman would be able to stay and live with them, he was way too temperamental and easily riled up, who would want to live with a man like that? Certainly not me.

"I have my eyes averted already, just hold on to me, so I would lift you up" he had his hands placed like someone that actually wanted to lift me up but I was not comfortable with that sort of intimate closeni, as I had just met him, so what I did instead was to clasp both of his hands in mine tightly,

Although he averted his face from where I was squatted, I could still see his face clearly from my position and could see the confusion etched on it when I grasped his hands instead of hopping into it like he was probably expecting. I felt guilty all of a sudden and felt the need to explain myself and the reason why I did so to him before any further thoughts in my head would disrupt my plans further,

" You should know this by now, my body is still in severe pain from my encounter with the snake. I could not stand properly. Let us try this method first and switch to whatever one you want if it does not work out" I was actually tired of also exchanging words with him and wanted all the argument to come to an end

He just nodded and tightened his hands on mine and applying more force on our hands to enable him attempt to lift me up. I could not describe the pain wrecking through my body as a result of him trying to whisk me away, but at the end we were able to achieve our goal.
