As the bowl smashed into pieces, the couple stepped over it. Laughing with evil, Loni's sister said her hello.
"You just keep getting clumsier by day, huh?"
Loni tightened her fist, as her first love, stood by her sister side.
"Anyways, I just came to give you something." Her sister handed her a fancy envelope.
"Y-you're...getting married." Loni quivered.
"We decided to, I mean why wouldn't he want to get married to a hot snack like me." The sister kissed Loni's ex, trying to make her jealous.
"Why did you give me this. I am probably not going." Loni began to pick up her mess.
"Oh, you're going. Whether you like it or not. Mother told me that." The sister smiled devilishly.
Loni took her cracked bowl and began heading to the sink.
"Anyways, see ya!" She sashay out the door.
Loni couldn't stand her sister. Her sister took everything Loni had, and left Loni, with nothing. Loni broke down when her first love couldn't even look at her. All the wonderful memories they had, to end up with her sister. She couldn't rethink the moment, she didn't want to. The night where she caught her first love, screwing her sister. She forgot the bowl was in her hands and cut herself.
"Ugh, I'm such a mess." Loni tried finding a bandaid.
Then the phone rang.
"Hello?" As Loni bandaged her hand.
"Where are you?" Reo deep voice being heard in the phone.
"Um, home." Loni made a face.
"WHAT THE HELL! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE AT THE OFFICE, WORKING RIGHT NOW."
"I am?" Loni laughing quietly.
"We assigned you an assignment, and we need by TOMORROW."
Loni stood there. This was... a... big problem.
She hastily put on her office clothes and called an uber. She ran into the lobby to see a mean, skinny lady, with her hands on hip, waiting for her.
"S-sorry, I'm late." Loni caught her breath.
"If you're late again, watch yourself be fired." She turned around, as Loni followed.
In the cubic space, they had many workers typing on keyboards.
"Your assignment." The lady handed her a Manila folder.
Loni looked at it, at least twice. This wasn't an assignment. This was more like a humongous exam she had to take.
"It better be done at 10 am sharp, tomorrow."
"W-wait, what about this area." Loni pointed at the mysterious question.
"I don't know, ask Mr. Reo."
Loni gulped. She straightened herself and made way for Reo's office.
***
"Ahh! Don't stop!"
The table shook with the movement. The door opened as Loni covered her eyes.
"U-um excuse me?" Loni still covering her eyes.
"That will be enough today Susie, go home." Reo buttoned his shirt.
"But we didn't get to my favorite part-"
"I said go home." Reo voice got stern.
As she passed by Loni, she bumped into her purposely.
"All thanks to you little bitch."
Loni rolled her eyes.
"Slutty bitch." Loni thought in her mind.
"So what can I help you with? Want to continue what we were doing?" Reo got closer to Loni.
"I needed to know what this was." Loni pointed to the question.
"Come over here, I can't see it." Reo gestured to come by his desk.
Reo sat on the office chair and listened.
"This question. What does it mean by structure?" Loni pointed.
"I still can't see it." Reo pretended.
As Loni was about to repeat what she said, she felt Reo's hands on her waist. The suddenly pulling her down on his lap.
"H-hey! I just came here to ask you something." Loni trying to get up.
"Oh? I thought you needed advice on learning, because I sure can teach you." Reo held his arms around her.
Loni gave up. She basically couldn't squirm anymore because her arms would be sore after.
"What perfume you use? You just smell so nice." Reo buried his face on Loni's shoulder.
"Perfume? I use body wash." Loni rolled her eyes.
Then Reo saw her bandages.
"What happened? Did someone hurt you?" Reo asking with worry.
"No, I just accidentally cut myself." Loni looked down.
"Oh." Reo calmed down.
Finally off guard, Loni found a way to escape.
"Aha! I'm free!" Loni getting so excited.
Reo chuckled.
"You are just so interesting Loni." He couldn't contain his chuckle.
"I'll shall see ya tomorrow boss. Bye ya." Loni quickly ran out the office.
***
"I never found what this meant." Loni face palmed her head.
Then it came back to her. Her sister's wedding is in a few days, and-
She stopped. Why is she worrying about her bratty sister? Anyways, she would probably just come for the food or something.
"Ding!" Her phone ranged a text message.
"Spicy ramen, right now? Martha texted.
"I'm down." Loni replied.
She put on her hoodie, and went out the door. She loved how Martha was just so kind to her, yet her family is basically so rich.
***
She got out the uber and saw the ramen place. Was this even a restaurant? It was so grand and extravagant.
"Hey there you-" she paused. "What are you wearing?"
"You didn't tell me it would be this fancy." Loni pushed up her glasses.
"Come with me Lon, you need to get glamorous for this place."
