The Short-Tempered

Zev found his dad and Jody having breakfast in the garden the following day. He is ready to go to school. He held his head as he moved toward his father and sat down next to Jody. Glendir and Jody both looked at him.

"Hangover?" Glendir asked.

"Ah, yes, dad."

Glendir pointed at Liza and whispered. Liza left quickly, and Jody looked at her. Jody looked back at Glendir again. Even though he spoke to Liza in a whisper, she heard what he said. Glendir told Liza to tell the chef that Zev needs hangover soup, which should be quick.

"If you have a headache, you don't have to go to school," said Glendir.

"I should be there. When my friends don't see me, they'll laugh at me. Thinking that I got drunk last night."

Jody said nothing, and she just kept eating. Glendir did the same thing while Zev used one hand to rub his forehead. Jody soon finished eating.
