Trouble Ahead! New Bonds with the... Kuwaharas?

After what felt like ages, we finished training at the summer camp we were at. I've managed to improve my Overdrive Quirk, Creation Quirk, and One For All over the course of the summer! I knocked on my door as I was dropped off by Ms. Kaoru, she walked up to the door with me, Dad opened the door and looked me up and down.

"Jesus, what in the fuck where they feeding you?" Dad chuckled.

"Love and attention that you refused to give me." Ms. Kaoru pouted.

Dad looked at her and lowered an eyebrow, "Aren't you... Dating someone?"

"I'm dating you in my heart, mind and soul, Leonidus." She gushed.

"Aaaand I'm just gonna head inside now!" I chimed in.

I walked inside with my bag as Ms. Kaoru was let inside by Dad. Ashi came downstairs with the biggest smile on his face.

"Mabel! Mabel!" He chirped.

He hopped up and gave me a hug, "I missed you sooooo much! Mama did too, like a whole bunch! It was really boring!"

"Was it? I missed you too, Ashi! Look at these!" I smiled.

I flexed my muscles, his arms glistened and shined as he stared at them. Ashi patted my arms and plopped his chin on my right arm.

"Yep, just like Papa's!" He giggled.

Ms. Kaoru sat down with Mom and Aunt Yu as I entered the living room with Ashi. I sat down next to Mom with Ashi on my lap.

"So, how did Mabel do during the training camp, Rei?" Mom questioned.

"She did wonderful! Although her training methods were a bit different than most, but that was something we could work with quite well. She ended up training in the with Ichirou and Yamashiro pretty much every single day! She improved all of her Quirks quite a bit. I think she's doing an incredible job already." Ms. Kaoru bubbled.

"That's wonderful, I just do wish her Father was like her when we were younger, I never see her constantly wanting to fight villains at their best. It's a wonder that we're even alive!" Mom sighed.

Aunt Yu crossed her arms, "Yeah, I get you, but I think that's honestly okay. Sometimes you just gotta let a Leonidus do what they have to do, you know? They're definitely different than everyone else on this planet. I mean, I haven't seen my husband in two months because he's in the Seventh Plane training with Mikaboshi!"

"KARIYA'S DOING WHAAAAAAAAT?!" Dad yelled from outside.

He burst through the living room wall! He landed on the coffee table in front of Ms. Kaoru and put his hand on her shoulders.

"Why didn't anyone tell me that?! He was off training with Mikaboshi while I was just sitting here doing hero work and farming!?" Dad whined.

"W-Well, you didn't exactly ask about it! Was I supposed to tell you or something?" Ms. Kaoru responded.

"Of course you were! Why wouldn't I want to know something like that?" Dad exclaimed.

Mom looked at the wall and sighed, "Good grief... At least you can patch that up."

"Wowee! Papa, that was really cool! Can you do it again?" Ashi giggled.

Dad hopped off the table and went to fix the wall he smashed through. Dad finished repairing the wall and turned around with a saddened look on his face.

"Why doesn't Mikaboshi let me train with him?" He pondered.

"Perhaps it's because you've never asked him, dear." Mom responded.

Dad looked down at the ground before his eyes moved back up, "Oh... Why didn't I think of that?"

Mom looked at the clock before getting up. Dad looked down at his watch as well.

"Geez, it's already 4:00? Didn't you say that your family was inviting us over for dinner tonight, Momo?" Dad wondered.

"Not exactly my family, I figured we all need to get out of the house, so I asked some friends if they'd like to go out for dinner tonight! I think it'd be fabulous, plus I'm sure they'd like to discuss some things with us anyway." Mom told him.

[One Hour Later...]

We were all dressed up for this dinner outing with Mom's friends. As we got sat down, I noticed that we were sitting at a table for 10 people, I wonder who exactly Mom invited? My question was quickly answered as Evelyn Kuwahara walked in with her family! Dad and Kuwahara made eye contact with each other as he sat down in front of him.

"What's he doing here?" Dad asked.

"I'd like to know the same thing, Creati. I would've figured that this would've been a meeting of the minds." Kuwahara retorted.

"Could you two stop arguing for five seconds? Please? We're here to talk about... Him." Mom scolded.

"Huh? Him? Who's... Oooh, wait a second, never mind!" Luna chimed in.

"Right, there's no point in arguing when there's a bigger problem at hand. Tenko's gone into hiding, we've scoured this place but we can't seem to find him. It's almost as if he's hiding in some sort of underground bunker." Evelyn agreed.

Dad crossed his arms as he looked at Evelyn, "And I'm assuming you've all looked underground as well, right?"

"That we have, but let me ask you this, can't you sense for something called 'Heat Energy'? I'd like to assume that you've come into contact with him in the past, correct?" Kuwahara asked.

Dad nodded and closed his eyes, he sat there in silence as he concentrated on Tenko's Heat Energy.

"No... I'm not feeling it whatsoever. He must be concealing it somehow." Dad spoke up.

"Concealing it? How exactly is he doing that?" Evelyn questioned.

"That I'm not sure, my only guess would be that he's surrounded himself with so much negative energy that it counters my Overdrive. That would really be the only thing that makes sense in this situation." He guessed.

"He'd be right, Tenko would be the only thing on this planet capable enough to harness that much negative energy." I agreed.

"I see, so this puts us at a bit of a problem then. Without being able to track him, he can move wherever he wants and hide wherever he wants. That means our entire family needs to cooperate with you and that little team of yours, huh?" Kuwahara replied.

"I guess so. Buuuut I thought we already had some sort of truce?" Dad nodded.

"Ha! Do you really think that I meant that? I'm sure my daughter did, but after we found Shigaraki, I was just going to kill you." He laughed.

Ashi patted Mom on the arm, "Psst... Look Mama, I gotta fork mustache!"

"That's wonderful, sweetheart, I'm glad you're at least finding something to do with yourself." Mom smiled.

"Why am I not surprised to hear that you were going to betray us?" I wondered.

Evelyn looked at her Father with both disappointment and irritation written on her face. I honestly don't blame her one bit for it! You know, being a Leonidus is wonderful and all until you realize that you're wearing practically the biggest target on your back.

"So, how about we arrange a meeting with that team of yours? Make sure you bring your daughter with you, since she'll be an important asset for our meeting. This OFA is rather... Intriguing. I'd like to know more about it." Kuwahara continued.

This whole thing wasn't sitting with me right, but if Kuwahara truly is a man of his word, then he won't be betraying us if he starts working with the Symbols of Peace.

"If he tries to hurt you, I'll make sure that there isn't an atom of him left on this planet." Dad telepathically told me.

[The Next Day...]

I went with Mom and Dad to their HQ for this meeting with the Kuwaharas. I was wearing my hero costume for the first time in a long time. I entered the conference room with my parents, the Kuwahara's and all of the Symbols of Peace were sitting at the table.

"Ah, wonderful! Leonidus, Creati, glad to see you could make it!" Kuwahara smiled.

Right as we sat down, the TV began to flicker, Tenko's face suddenly appeared on the screen! Everyone looked at the screen with confusion, I was waiting for some sort of attack to happen.

"Good afternoon Japan... This is... Lord Shimura. I've got a rather wonderful request for all of you out there. As you can see here, this is Pro Hero Leonidus' Daughter, Mabel Leonidus. I'm offering... Thirty million Yen to whoever can bring her to me. There's something that she has, a special power of sorts, that I need. So, to all that'll take me up on my offer... Good luck, and good hunting." Tenko smiled.

The screen quickly turned to black after the transmission, that must've hit every screen in Japan, maybe even more. Dad sat silently, I've never seen such a blank expression on his face before. Nobody really knew what to say, it was like this meeting was done, even before it started.

"We're finding this bastard, I want not a single person to try and kidnap my daughter, or else." Dad deadpanned.

"L-Leonidus, are you..." Auntie Mina wondered.

He looked over at her, "I will not hesitate to kill anyone that even thinks about harming her. I already had my son kidnapped in the past, I don't want it happening to my daughter. I already know what you're thinking, Deku, and it's not your fault. It's all of our faults for not finishing Tenko when we had the chance."

"So what do you propose we do? We've searched the entirety of this city and found nothing." Evelyn questioned.

"We'll need to search the entire country for him, all of the Pros will be on high alert now that he's delivered that message. We'll have Pros stationed at every street block to make sure nothing happens to Mabel. If he gets his hands on her, then we're fucked." Mr. Bakugo chimed in.

"And we'll make sure that U.A. is secure as well, we'll need to cover all of our bases if we're going to do this correctly." Mom added.

I quickly realized that it didn't matter if I liked fighting or not, this was something that words were never going to resolve, this was something that only actions would. With the Kuwaharas fully on our side now, this fight should be a lot easier to handle than if we did it by ourselves.

"I don't care how many villains I have to go through, if it gets us closer to stopping Tenko, then that's okay by me. This power that was given to me, I'll use it to take him out for good, no matter what it takes." I spoke up.

"Hmph... It seems you and your daughter share something in common, Leonidus." Kuwahara slightly smiled.

The meeting continued on, we advised a plan to potentially lure Tenko out using One For All, but we had to wait for the right time. I didn't exactly have my hero license yet so I couldn't help out in the slightest bit. After the meeting was over, the Kuwahara's left alongside most of the members of the Symbols of Peace except for Deku, Dynamight, Uravity, my parents, and Phoenix stayed behind. Dad stood in front of the huge glass windows as he stared out towards the city.

"Every goddamn villain in this place is gonna be looking for her. I doubt that bastard's got that much Yen anyway, that sounds more like a front than anything else." Mr. Bakugo told us.

"Yeah, there's no way he could've massed that much money, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did." Deku agreed.

"So... What are we going to do about this? Mabel shouldn't have to worry about fighting off villains by herself." Mom fretted.

Dad finally turned around, "The Kuwahara's are going to watch over the house until things start to cool down. As for us, we'll make sure that we follow Mabel wherever she goes. I'll be in charge of doing that, I'm sure Annie, Kariya and Lizzie will be as well."

This entire year was going to be something else, I just felt it in my bones and my entire soul. I don't think I would've ever expected something as extreme as this to happen, but then again, it seems as if this One For All brings about those things.
