Hunting a Ruin Mimic

Rune shot downward at the Ruin Mimic and slammed into it with full force, and there was a split second during the moment of impact where the air trembled before the creature's massive frame was slammed into the ground.

"Rune, you idiot!" Luna yelled. She had to scramble to throw up a barrier in front of the three groups participating. Not only that but there was also a town nearby that they needed to protect. The shockwave alone from such a large creature being hit with such force would have caused substantial damage, so she had to be quick if she wanted to protect everything.

Meanwhile, up on the Mimic's back, the recoil from his own attack made Rune's bones tingle. He looked down at the spot where his sword had hit, only to come across a troubling sight.

"Only a crack? How?"
