THE ANNOUNCEMENT

"Do you think of me as superficial Marknell? Why?" I slapped him while crying. "Why did you show me again? Why are you messing with my life again?"

He held my hand. "I'm sorry Jhin I didn't mean what happened then, believe me, I loved you, I didn't just chase you for sex, I was young then I didn't know how to value a relationship. It's too late for me to realize everything and you are already gone. Please forgive me, for our son. "

I laughed at him. "Our son? You killed our son a long time ago! Thank you for reminding Marknell but you’re such a worthless person!" I pushed him and left to go back to the party.

"Hey ... where have you been? And wait, are you crying?"

"John doesn’t fall for me, I don’t want Marie to hate me.” I winked at Marie. John's face turned sour from what I said.

I felt Marknell again. But I didn't look at him anymore because I might give in to him again. The host has already spoken, signaling that the party is about to begin.

He called out Mr. Allan Kang. We all applauded when Mr. Kang shows up and go to the mini stage. He is still strong even though he is old, he is a Korean but he is a Filipino Citizen. That’s one of the things I admire him, his success and his treatment of his employees are also commendable.

"And now I want you to meet my family, they are the inspiration of my hard work, please welcome my beloved wife, Choi Kang."

A beautiful woman came out, she doesn’t look old at all and she looks just my age. She smiled and waved and bowed as a sign of respect.

"My youngest daughter, Christy Kang."

She looks like Ma'am Choi Kang, they are so beautiful and I suddenly shrink to myself.

"My second son, Christian Kang."

John gasps, because of Christian's exhaustion. "He's the one I've been waiting for!" he giggly said.

Marie glared at him.

"And please welcome our future C.E.O, my son Christoff Kang.

I feel like everything stopped when I saw Christoff! Goddamn it! He's my boss!

John and Marie screamed while I whispered WTF. He waved further and looked at me. I guess I'm just seeing things.

"Are you shocked, Miss Jhin?" John asked smiling.

"You know he'll be our boss?"

"Yes. Do you think he will allow us to do what he wants and give you hundreds of roses if he is just an ordinary person?"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

He zippered lip sign. "It was a supreme command, why do you pay attention to him now?" he teased.

I felt Marknell beside me so I stopped talking.

"Hi I am Christoff Kang… and hmm..." he looked at me again and smiled. "I am not that confident enough to shoulder all of the responsibilities here but I'll assure you one thing. I will do my very best to make our company grow more this coming many more years." he kept saying while staring at me.

I raised my eyebrow. Even though he is the successor, the fact that he is still the arrogant man I have met cannot be changed. To me, he is an addict looking for attention. I joined in the applause for him.

"But oh, I have a surprise." He took a small jar filled with paper.

"Inside of this Jar is your department's names. Mr. Kang will pick the lucky department to have a vacation trip and spend one week for my birthday." everyone shouted, including John.

"That's the MIS Department!" others shouted in excitement.

"I.T Department!" some said.

"CS Department please!" said the women.

"Accounting Department please!" John will not give up.

After mixing the papers, Mr. Kang took one and gave it to Christoff, everyone holding their breath...

"Before I read the lucky department. I would like to say sorry to one person. You know who you are... I'm sorry." the bees whispered again.

I just rolled my eyes while I was shaken by the excitement of Sally and Marie.

"Okay now, let's see who the lucky Department is. Are you ready?”

“YES!!!”

He opened the paper and roams his sight. “Account Department.” He declared.

John and some of our teammates were jumping for joy, while I was just staring at Christoff, why do I feel that everything written on the paper is our department? I even saw him wink at me.

CHRISTOFF (after the announcement)

I smiled broadly as I looked at Jar. I smiled at my nonsense, because the truth is, all papers are written Accounting Department. I know it is unfair to other departments but I wanted to spend my birthday with her. I am excited about the thought of spending my special day with Jhinkee.

Christy entered the office. "Oppa tell me, do you like someone here?"

"Why?"

"You look so happy. I want to meet your girl." Christy said calmly to me.

"She will be your Unnie soon." I messed up her hair again.

"Sheesh! I am not a girl anymore." her snout lengthened.

Christian came in. He is twenty-five and still has no girlfriend. "Hey bro." he tapped me on the back. "There are so many beautiful women and sexy employees, so maybe that’s the reason why you enjoy being in the office these days."

Christy stared at him and left because the party was not over yet.

"I guess she's getting jealous." Christian smiled. "She’s still your baby bro."

I laughed. "Yes she is and I am just afraid that she might get freak out when she learns that I am in love with someone here."

"You are?"

"Yes, I am."

I PUSHED off the elevator down to the party. I'm happy because Oppa is in love. But I still couldn't help but be jealous, because Oppa's attention was turning to her. Hmph! I want to meet the girl. I need to meet her, as in right now!

When I came down I grabbed everyone's attention. "Who is the girlfriend of my Oppa here?" I saw them whispering. No one answered.

Mommy approached me. "Christy, what are you doing?"

"Who is the girlfriend of my Oppa here?" I repeated while ignoring Mommy as she tried to stop me. I saw Oppa and Christian, they were approaching me. Christian grabbed me by the arm and carried me to the side.

"What do you think you’re doing? Stop acting like a child."

"I just want to meet her." I insisted.

Daddy approached us. "You can't have your Oppa forever." like Oppa, Daddy also messed up my hair. "Now young girl learn to live without your Oppa. Because sooner or later he will marry someone and you have to accept that fact."

“Daddy, hmmm!” I turned around and I saw Oppa talking to a girl. I marched towards them.

"Oppa is she your woman?" then look at the girl, well she's beautiful. The girl also stared at me. I hate her.
