THE VOICE OF LOVE

I looked at the red roses that Christoff had laid down and I continued eating.

"Pssst! Are you that numb? I hope Fafa just liked me, I will not torture him." John.

I stood up and took the red roses, it's beautiful. I just put them in a vase on my table, well I love roses.

"OPPA!" Christy immediately hugged me. She is still young at the age of twenty. "Oppa, where have you been? I've been looking for you these past few days." She says sweetly.

"Oh! I'm with my girls." I messed up her hair. "Are you dating now?" I looked at her attire.

"Yes. How do I look? Am I pretty?"

"Hmmmmm! Make sure to introduce that man to me" I said seriously.

"I will! But hey am I pretty?"

I ruffled her hair again. "Yes of course you are. Where is Daddy?"

I turned to dad when he came down from the second floor. He just came from a vacation in Korea with Mommy Choi. Christy said goodbye to Dad.

"How was your day at the company?" he asked. Jhinkee suddenly came to my mind. "It was quite good, the building is quite huge. I've toured all the facilities, so I'll try my best Dad."

"Good to hear that. Where do you plan to celebrate your birthday son?" he was satisfied with my answer.

I smiled broadly.

AFTER church we went straight to the Mall to cool off and go on a food trip. I anchored Jaybee's arm, we are so close. I saw a lot of teddy bears so I pulled him there. "BFF, teddy bear." I pointed to the huge one.

"Your room is full of teddy bears already."

"Please?" in my sweetest voice. I made puppy eyes.

"What color do you like?" he immediately replied.

"YES! Thank you so much!" He can't say no to me. "Uhmmm, I like the color pink …"

"We'll take it" he turned to the saleslady.

"I'll just go to the powder room. Don't wrap it, I want to hug her."

I TURNED around when I saw Marknell in a hallway, I stopped walking. I quickly turned away and retreated. My heart beats so fast. I bit my lip and went back to Jaybee.

"Oh? I thought you’re going to the powder room?" he asked me, he looked surprised. He knew how long always am when using the powder room.

"I can still hold it."

"You know you can't get through to me, tell me what's wrong and you seem restless?"

"Jhin wait!" Marknell said. Oh, God! He saw me and followed me here. His gaze shifted to Jaybee.

"BFF let's go." I pulled Jaybee, he was holding the big teddy bear.

"Can we talk, please?" I tightened my grip on Jaybee when I heard Marknell voice again.

Jaybee turned to Marknell. "Just leave her alone, you don't deserve any second of her time!"

"BFF let's go, please …" I pulled him.

But Jaybee did not give up. "She doesn't know you anymore, so stop bothering her, will you?!"

"Jhin, please... let's talk... my son... our son, how is he? Where is he?"

I can't help myself but cry, after hearing him looking for our baby. Jaybee punched him. "Wow, you still have the courage to ask! After what you did to her? Where were you when she needed you?"

The guard stopped them because we are already getting people's attention.

"BFF please stop..." I hugged Jaybee and pulled him away from Marknell. He was still angry when we arrived at the parking area. He put the teddy bear inside the car.

"What nerve! Are you sure that person is the one you loved, huh?"

"BFF stop please..." I cried because I felt the pain when he asked our son.

Jaybee hugged me and I buried my face in her chest. "I'm sorry but I just couldn't control my anger. Shhh stay put."

"ARE you sure you're okay?" he asked me when we arrived home.

I nodded softly to Jaybee. "Of course, go ahead, thank you for the teddy bear." I smiled at him.

He got out of the car and hugged me again. "Don't cry …"

"Promise I won't cry." he kissed me on the forehead before returning to the car. I felt my forehead. I happily hugged my new teddy bear.

"BABE it's late, why you are here? Wait what happened to your face? Why do you have a bruise?"

I stared at Yas, she is the woman I chose over Jhin, I am happy in our relationship, yes I admit that I only used her to escape my responsibility because Jhin was pregnant then, but we have been together for five years now and I can say I fell for her. "I just missed you," I told her. She hugged me.

"I know you have a problem babe tell me, I might be able to help you."

I pulled her and kissed her on the lips, I want to feel Yas again because I am afraid to know my true feelings. I do not want to love Jhin again. She deserves someone better than me, way better.

But when I closed my eyes, I saw Jhin in my mind. I only felt this way for Jhin. I stopped kissing Yas.

"Babe?"

I sighed. I became unfair to Yas. "Take a good rest. Goodnight."

"I love you?" Yas says.

I kissed her on the forehead, before leaving her.

EVERYONE can't help but admire me. Of course, I am twenty-seven but I really look younger than my age. I approached where my teammates were. They stared at me intently.

"Oh dear, is that really you Miss Jhin? You are so pretty!" John.

And he also introduced his three children and wife for the very first time. I only once saw and met and greeted Mr. Allan Kang when he once held a meeting with all the head personnel in all departments.

"Thank you." I am just wearing a formal simple black dress but I am very beautiful because of my light make-up and of course my unparalleled confidence.

I looked at Marknell and my heart stops for a while, he is so gorgeous in his tuxedo formal attire. I took the goblet held by a waiter and drank it.

"I am so excited, I will finally know my future!" thrilled John said.

"You're really joking as if they will notice you!" Marie.

"You know Mars? Why do I have the feeling that you like me?" John.

"Me? I like you? No way, over my gorgeous body.”

I laughed at them. I couldn’t help myself to look at Marknell again. And our eyes met again. I can't take it anymore; it's hard to pretend that you don't know the person who was once a part of your life.

"Excuse me," I say goodbye to them.

I went to the restroom and there I tried to stop myself from crying. Why am I still affected by Marknell? Why? It's been a long time but he still has the same effect on me? I adjusted myself and retouched.

When I came out I did not expect to see Marknell. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of that area. We went to the back where the mini-garden was. He quickly kissed me on the lips and the heat returned to the two of us. But eventually, he stopped kissing me when he felt my tears.
