“Mr. Aziel?” Amelia’s low murmur broke the silence.
Aziel revived his senses from the concentrated thoughts and blinked a few times. He glimpsed around and found several passersby gazing at them in wonder as if they were pretty astonished by the way he heroically arrived in a flash and saved her from a dreadful accident.
Not only the bystanders but Amelia also appeared to be in a daze. Being embraced in his arms, she couldn’t avert her confused eyes away from him. Holding a bewildered expression, she stayed still, looking like a pale, porcelain doll.
Aziel was quick to get a grasp of the situation and released her from his grip. With countless muddled emotions rushing within him, he frowned and asked her in a stiff tone, “Are you okay?”
As Amelia endured the palpitations growing in her heart, she nervously nodded. “H-Hmm.”
