Chapter 77 Cait Shelter

Ultear was worried and pissed off at the same time while travelling through the forest towards the guild called Cait Shelter. She was pissed off at the fact that Karna had not allowed her to come with him even when she tried to convince him by saying her magic will be useful to dismantle the shrine where the moon drip ritual will be taking place. But he denied her and send her to a guild she had never heard before to get information that they think is relevant.

Ultear still remembered the expression that master showed her while telling her about the location she must go to gather a bit of information. She felt like others could have done it in her stead but even her mother had insisted on her going for this mission.

"stupid Karna…stupid master …idiot mom" Ultear kept on mumbling because of her frustration

Meredy seeing this got an angry glint in her eye 'I'm going to beat that bastard into a pulp'

After walking for a few hours, they finally reached a small village. As soon as they stepped inside, Meredy pulled Ultear back

"Ultear be careful, none of these people are real, they are all illusions that has a bit more solid form"

Trusting her companion, Ultear used her time magic and found out that the buildings are covered with illusion magic and that their age is too much for it to be in such a pristine condition. She tried to use her magic on them to find out what happens but suddenly a voice interrupted them from behind

"ho ho Nabura isn't it rude for young ones to act like this without permission"

Startled at the sudden interruption by someone they didn't even sense, they both immediately turned around to find an old man wearing tribal clothes with a crown smiling at them.

"May I know why two young wizards have come to our humble guild" the old man asked them and both of them hearing his tone can say that this was not a request and the answer they give will determine their survival.

Meredy too had used her emotion sensing magic earlier on the other people in the village and no reaction from them told her that they were illusions, but the old man right now was giving her chills because her magic was able to see something she never imagined seeing.

The old man was made up of pure magic and emotions alone and the amount of magic was not hidden right now so she was able to see the vastness of it clearly. But at the same time the emotions that the old man is made up of seems to be dominated by feelings of regret and guilt.

"We are Fairy tail wizards send by Makarov to gain information about an S class quest" Ultear immediately replied while showing her guild mark so as to not cause any more misunderstanding.

"oh Nabura" his earlier scary demeanour immediately disappeared and was replaced with a smile similar to that which Makarov shows everyone "what do you know seems like that kid sent a few of his children towards here, where are my manners, come on let's go inside" he welcomed them both into a hut

Both Ultear and Meredy were surprised that their master who is really old was called a kid by the person in front of them. But they had no reason to not believe him as Ultear's magic showed that this village was very old, and Meredy was able to see that the old man was an entity that was not human and the chances of him being centuries old is very high. So, they relented and went inside the hut.

At the time in Karna's location

Karna sighed and looked at Ur and found out that she also had a similar expression. Right now, they are watching Erza eliminate an entire group of pirates to have a ship that can take them to Galuna island. All the ships in the docks are afraid of Galuna island saying that there are demons in there.

In such cases, Karna wishes that both his Charmeleons evolve into Charizards so he can have an easy way of transport to such places. But the ones he is raising has slower development rate but is generally stronger than an average Charizard of the Pokemon world. And Karna knew that speeding up their evolution by other methods will only be harmful to their potential. Right now, they are each a B rank threat and if taken together they can fight A rank threats as well.

Soon Erza managed to get the pirates to take them to Galuna island. Ur and Karna boarded the ship and set off to the island. While moving Karna looked at the reward of this mission Incursio sword. One of Akame Ga Kill teigu which contained the super class danger beast Tyrant the dragon. Karna knew that among all the teigu this was the most dangerous seeing that it has the ability to evolve and if he is right the Incursio was like Doomsday and SCP- 682 when it comes to the matter of ability although at a lower level.

It was one of the most dangerous weapons ever and if he is right, the weapon being a dragon has a chance of beating Acknalogia itself in a battle if given enough power to grow and evolve. But such a weapon given this early even if he faces the dark dragon later in this year shows that there is a chance the danger level has risen because of AU.

Karna knew that Incursio was a necessity because he doesn't think that he will be able to absorb dragon slayer magic like he absorbed the demon slayer death magic. When he had absorbed the curse magic, he felt in his magic that this was his limit and further absorption has chances of endangering him. In the anime, many of the dragon slayers had absorbed two types of dragon slayer elements but the only person who absorbed an entirely different type of slayer magic was Natsu and if he is right that swallowing of god slayer magic was also one of the reasons for the magic cancer that Natsu had later in the season.

So right now, the only way Karna can access the dragon slayer magic safely is through the system and it seems like the system is giving Incursio for this. Karna needs to attain Incursio if he wants to save this world from its annihilation from the hands of the Black Apocalypse dragon.
