Fourth Companion

~15 September 2006~

It is that time of the month—the time where I need to summon another companion. My guardian and I already talked about which person I should summon for my companion. I previously spent 70 points out of 150 points I had, which means I still have 80 more points to spend. With this many points, I can summon a Tier-4 companion two times and have 20 points left. However, I need to see the capabilities of each companion list. While Tier-4 is expensive, sometimes, their power is weaker than the one in the lower tier.

For example. Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers, is in the Tier-1 companion list while Gwen Stacy is in the Tier-4 list. While I'm not a fan of Marvel and DC, I know that Captain Marvel is one of the most powerful people in Marvel earth even if my Carol comes from the MCU.

Another example. Somehow Hanabi Hyuga (Tier-4) is more expensive than Sakura Haruno (Tier-1) even though Sakura is one of the most powerful Kunoichi in the Naruto franchise. Especially if the book is correct, they will get summoned from the post-Kaguya time, which means that Sakura can be compared to Tsunade in terms of power and healing capabilities.

That is why I need to look at each companion carefully before picking them.

As for today's summon, Carol and Medea say that we need someone that can fight in the front line and destroy enemy formations with her presence alone. We need a Storm guardian. While Lightning and Sun guardian is good for me, but we need a Storm guardian if we want to attack the Tepes clan very soon. While Carol is our front line fighter, she prefers to attack her enemy from above and rain them down with her Cosmic power.

I snap from my thoughts when I arrive in front of the summoning room. As I open up the door, I see both Medea and Amelia sitting down on the couch nearby while sipping some tea Medea brew. Carol, on the other hand, decided to patrol around the area because she didn't like crowding. She somehow became Kyoya Hibari. The difference between the two of them is that Carol didn't bite people to death and like my presence near her.

"Master"

"Lexian"

"Good morning. How are you two doing."

"We are fine, master. We just finished doing some research for the Phoenix tear."

"Please tell me about your research after I finished my business here."

"Of course, Master."

I walk to the middle of the room with the summoning book in hand. With my target in mind, I open up the book page and select my companion. The person I choose as my next companion, the one that will become my Storm that defeats all my enemies in the front line. The wild knight, The Berserker Saber, The Saber of Red, Mordred.

"Come to me, Mordred!"

Suddenly a massive magic circle appeared in front of me. The magic circle shines in red color and creates a pillar of light. As the light is gone, I see a figure appear in the middle of the magic circle. The figure is wearing bulky white armor complete with a helmet that conceals her gender, identity, and age to the people that didn't know about her legend beforehand. As the figure stabs her sword to the ground, the helmet begins to open up and reveals a beautiful woman who looks at me with a piercing gaze.

"My name is Mordred, one of the knights of the round table. Are you my master?"

That is surprising. I thought Mordred hated being called one of the knights of the round table?

"My name is Lexian Vongola, Your master. Let's work together from now on, Mordred."

"Heh! At least the place you summon me is not like the previous place."

"Oh? You remember your previous summoning?"

"Yeah, I don't know how but I remember my previous Holy Grail War. I still remember that bastard poison queen using her Noble Phantasm. Man… It hurt."

"That is weird…"

How can Mordred remember her previous summoning and her last Holy Grail War? I wonder how ROB can mess up with the Holy Grail System and let me summon one of the Servants even though I'm in the other universe. I already checked all the reports regarding Nasuverse in this world and came up with nothing, which means that this world didn't do a crossover with Nasuverse.

So I wonder how ROB was able to summon Mordred in this universe.

*Fujimaru Ritsuka POV*

What?!? WHAT?!? What do you mean 'I borrow your servant'?!?

"ARGAHRGAHR"

I continue to scream for a minute before stopping to get some air. After calming down, I pick up a piece of paper in the middle magic circle and read it once again.

"I'm sorry, but I need to borrow this servant. Signed, Random Omnipotent Being"

There is only one person that dares to call himself an omnipotent being. I know about this because Emiya says that this being has also messed with him before.

"ZELRETCH!!!!"

Meh, I will think about it another time.

"So master, what happens now? Somehow, the holy grail did not give me anything at all."

"Ahh, about that…"

I begin to explain to Mordred about our situation and how this world is not the same as her world. I also explain to her about the Pendragon family. When I tell her about the Pendragon family, I see her expression begin to change.

"So the Pendragon family still lives to this day, huh?"

"Yes, and not only that, but they are also a descendant of your father."

"Oh?"

"Yes, his name is Arthur Pendragon."

"So, he took the name of my father as his own?"

"Yes"

"Then, he needs to pass my test before he can use that name casually."

"Maybe another time."

"Are you not going to stop me?"

"Why should I? You are your own person, and if you want to fight him, then I will let you do that. However, I don't want you to go to England to fight him. I don't want to start a war with them, and especially they have the backing of Heaven."

"Heh, don't worry, master. I'm not that dumb to attack at the enemy stronghold."

"Thank you. However, I can guarantee you that we will fight them sooner or later."

"Really?!?"

"Yeah. I have this feeling inside my gut that screams that they will attack us sooner or later."

"Then I can't wait to meet them."

I smile at her eagerness before walking toward Medea and Amelia then introducing them to Mordred. Medea, Amelia, and I walk out of the basement and decide to point out where the Mordred room is located.

However, as we walk along the corridor, we meet with Carol, who looks at me and says.

"My Lord, we have an emergency."

I frown a little before asking her.

"What is it?"

"We have an uninvited guest near our land."

"Oh?"

"Yes, they create a small camp. Right now, they are scouting the area with the help of some vampire."

"Can you describe their look?"

"The one I can see from above them is a young man wearing what looks like a school uniform with short black hair and blue eyes. He also brought a spear with him. There is also someone with him wearing a red robe that covers his face."

The hero faction.

"How far are they to our land?"

"Five Kilometer to the west."

"Do you think they will attack us?"

"I don't know, but I know that the man holding a spear looks directly at me."

"So they will try to negotiate with us first. We will wait for them to make the first move. Carol, can you tell the guard and the hunter to stay inside the city for a few days?"

"Of course, My Lord."

I nod at him then look at Mordred before saying.

"Mordred, Look like you will have your action sooner than intended."
