In a bungalow in Yoho district, is filled with noises from packing and arranging, many bags and so much luggage outside the door, and inside are two ladies running around moving things. "Yang'er hurry up our ride is almost here." The lady in her late twenties, had brown middle-length hair, a fairly sharp jawline and eyes that tempted men.
Then another woman showed up at the door, this woman had a round face, but not with fat, just to make one look adorable, but her eyes were very clear, showing both innocence and cleverness, she was in her early twenty's and this woman was none other than Wang Xiu Ying, and the person telling her to hurry up is her best friend Li Na.
"I am coming Nana. I am almost done, just a minute." "Well hurry up our taxi is almost here."
Xiu Ying came out with a middle-age woman holding her arm. She looked a little bit like Xiu Ying, and you would think they were sisters. It is obvious that the woman made sure to take care of herself during her eyes. "Mom come on I have to leave sometime." yes, this woman is Xiu Ying's mother, Wang Yi.
"Do you have to though; home is better than a foreign place. just stay hmm?" The older woman looked at Xiu Ying like an abandoned dog and looked so cute one would question who the mother and child are.
"Mom I have said this repeatedly. I must go and gain more experience. it is for all our sake that I am doing this. Do not worry, I will make sure to visit you. I promise. My ride is almost here. I need to go."
The older woman looked at her in defeat.
"Okay but promise to visit me and your father. You are the only child at home. Your brother has gone to the army, God knows when he will come back. Who will I pamper now?"
Her mother was howling. That is when a middle-aged man walked into the living room. He looked stern but at the sight of his wife and child, his eyes softened to a degree. He went to the older woman and held her back from sticking unto their daughter.
"Honey, it's going to be fine. You have me here to keep you busy in more ways than one."
He looked at her meaningfully. This man was Xiu Ying's father Wang Dao. Wang Yi and her daughter understanding his meaning looked at him with different expressions. One with horror, and the other with embarrassment.
Wang Yi looked at her husband and pointed at him with a red face. "You....You...." she could not say anything. Xiu Ying had to leave though, so she turned to her parents
"Mum, Dad don't worry. I am going to be fine. I promise to visit as much as possible, and I will talk to brother to take a break from the company and accompany you. Bye I must go now. I love you guys."
She finally reached her door and there she saw her best friend who had a look of impatience, and immediately approached her. "Nana sorry to keep you waiting. Is our ride here yet?" Li Na looked at Xiu Ying's adorable face and found it hard to be angry at her.
"Yang'er not yet but what if it came ah, what would you do then. It would have left us, and you know how hard it is to get a cab in this area. Xiu Ying just looked at her and allowed her scold her while looking down pitifully. "I know, I know. Okay, okay let us get ready to depart. How many minutes?"
As Li Na was about to look at her phone, they heard a honk and they immediately started to arrange their things. As she was about to leave, a shadow dashed towards her, and tripped her. She looked up to see her dog, cookie licking all over her face as if beckoning her not to go. She pets the dog on the head and shakes her head.
"No cookie I have to go now. I promise to visit hmmm?" The dog started to whimper and nudges itself against Xiu Ying's body. "No cookie, I have to go now. I will miss you too."
She bent down to pick the dog and drops it at the entrance of her house. The dog looked at her for a while, then entered the house. She took one more look at her house, sighed, and turned to the car. She got to the car to see Li Na describing the directions to the driver.
"I hope you ladies know that it is going to take a while to get to the city, and the cost, right?" The driver asked, and Li Na explains to him our situation, and reassure him that they can pay the amount. After all, their families were well off, not too rich, but more than comfortable. The driver nodded and started the car.
As the car drove away from her house, she felt emotional and she hoped that her life in the city would be peaceful. That was her wish as the car drove further and further away from her town. If only she knew her life would embark on a roller coaster which will greatly affect her future.
