" U...up, up there! the mon..monster! ", William shouted stutteredly..

As Adam heard this, he instinctively deactivate the shield in front of them, then activate it quickly on top of them.

This action takes about 4 seconds! 2 seconds for deactivating the shield then another 2 seconds for activating it.

Fortunately, the last 2 seconds made it on time and the shield was placed only an inches away from their head and a high-pitched ' ting' was heard as something hits the shield.

At the same time, tons of protruding one meter metallic projectile can be seen on the outer area of the shield.

It was the same projectile that was hitting their shield earlier, only this time, it was suspended in the air mainly because it was still intact on the monster.

Within 2 seconds of activating the shield, Adam managed to take a peek on the monster.

It was a large sea urchin with tons of metallic spine covering it.

Adam remember reading this kind of monster on the encyclopedia given to him by his father. It was a monster called ' Metallic Sea Urchin '!

It was an E-rank monster possessing two skills, firstly was the ' Missile ' where it throws its one meter long spine towards the enemy with a great penetrating force!

Second was ' Surge ' where it make a sudden powerful upward movement, which may pin down the enemy or worst, crushed completely!

Commonly, this kind of monster was lethal to hunters of same level as it had a projectile and frontal attack! Additonally, it was also covered with spine so hand to hand combat was not possible.

Its penetrating power and crushing power was also big due to its gigatic appearance, so defense of normal hunter wont work out.

Fortunately, Adam had his 'Absolute defense' that was now level 2 and can blocked the metallic sea urchin completely! In other words, Adam was it nemesis!

When the metallic sea urchin hits the shield, a loud 'ting' was produced.

Adam and William took a look at each other, seemingly asking for each others next course of action..

" S..sorry, I cant damage this monster nor even kill it ", William said helplessly as he dont have the capability to even damaged the monster.

Adam got a bit disappointed at this as he thought that maybe they could kill it if they worked together.

Soon, Adam began thinking of his own plan to kill the monster.

As he was dilly-dallying, the monster jumped and jumped again towards the still unmoving shield while using its skill 'Surge'!

Compared to humans, monsters possess more mana as its nature, so it can used its main skill repeatedly without having its mana drained.

' I only got 10 minutes before I got drained of my mana so I got to think quickly! ', Adam thought silently

As Adam was thinking, William was looking at him sorrily as he cant help even by just a bit in such a dire situation. He was about to reach out to Adam to say sorry when suddenly, Adam got in a fighting stance!

This alerted William a little, but soon managed calmed himself as he saw Adam look upwards intensively!

He had his two hands positioned backwards, then had his feet on two angles of imaginary triangular footwork! Holding two daggers at each hands, Adam said shoutingly!...

" Rage... of ....Waves! "

A moment later, William felt a sudden rise on Adam's power! Its not only on physically but it seems that even skills was affected as the shield gotten more durable and fiercer than before!

Soon, Adam gathered all his focus on controlling the shield. He had it rise and rise upward causing the metallic sea urchin who's on top of it, to also rise!

When the shield and metallic sea urchin was now 80 meters above ground, Adam felt that his connection with the shield got thinner and thinner!

Soon, when the shield got 100 meters above ground. Adam immediately deactivated the shield! Causing the metallic sea urchin to fall with a great momentum as it loss the shield it was steppin on!

Even though the metallic sea urchin had no eyes, panicked can be seen from it as it rapidly released its spine, one by one.

This time, Adam didnt activate the shield, instead, focus on his other skill ' Rage of Waves '.

The power kept increasing and now it multiplies his power twice!

" Adam, when are you going to attack?! ", William said nervously as he saw that the metallic sea urchin lost its advantage

" Not yet ", Adam replied calmly

Seconds had passed but Adam was not yet attacking, so William asked again, which was replied by Adam again..

" Not yet "

Soon, when the urchin released its spine that was visible to Adam's side, he quickly shouted!...

" Now! ", Adam shouted with full of vigor and quickly stretched his arm with a great force, then releasing the dagger straightly to the area where the spine was released from!

Soon, the two daggers hit the now empty spine area, consecutively! Causing the metallic sea urchin to release a loud shriek!

" screech!!! "

Adam was now overjoyed as he saw the dagger hit the metallic sea urchin. He read on the encyclopedia that the monster had its body covered with spine, mainly because of its weak defense! And low vitality.

So Adam was expecting that the monster will die soon, if not for dagger, then maybe when it falls on the ground from such a high elevation!

As Adam was contemplating on his thought, the metallic sea urchin's color was changing, from silver like color to red! And this phenomenon only means one thing...

" Ber...berserk! ", Adam and William uttered at the same time, feeling fears and gulping every time as their body lost its will momentarily...
