A one-of-a-kind advanced game? Universal Online where every player had the same class of rulers. Being rulers players got to lead and transform a single species beyond anything. Unfortunately, this was not the game where every species could survive. The whole population of rulers jumped from planet to planet fighting to gain more resources for their survival. The winner got to advance and the loser lost everything. He was one of those who strived hard to survive but in the end, failed. At the end of everything miracle happened. He got reincarnated back in time - 4 years after the game’s release! Armed with a few years of advanced knowledge from his previous life, he decided to once again take the gamble. Forced by his gang to play the game he decided to reach the top. This is the story of Jules - a man who threw himself back intending to rule above everyone but with many being already 4 years ahead of him, will he succeed?
Glitch opened his eyes and looked out the window.
He saw a group of young adventurers fighting against a massive white bear. It was around 3 meters in height and was aiming for the biggest carriage at the front.
He spotted a shiny blue horn on top of the bear's head and realized that this was a Glittering Bear, a common type of beast that mostly lives in cool environments.
From what he knew, even though the bear was big, it was mostly harmless, as it could only use its large body to attack.
He looked around and sure enough, most of the old adventurers stayed mounted on their horses while a bunch of new adventurers were fighting against the beast.
He smiled at this excellent opportunity, as it would allow him to gauge the basic strength of these adventurers and the monsters in this area.
There were 4 adventurers in their late teens to early twenties who were fighting the Glittering bear. Two guys at the front had swords in their hands while the 3rd girl in the robe had an old book in her hand and the last girl in the back had a long spear in her hand.
These guys were maintaining this basic formation with a mage at the back with support.
He saw both sword wielders were aiming for the bear's sides. They were inflicting multiple slashes on the bear's limbs while the spear girl poked on the bear's face from time to time.
It was nothing special, but what interested him more was this mage girl who was pointing her grimoire toward the bear and from time to time a small fireball hit the bear's face.
The more he observed their fight, the more confident he became in handling the Glittering Bear.
This beast had a massive strength. Each of its punches was powerful enough to shake the ground, but its speed was so slow that even the mages were running around it.
As for the adventurers, he was not sure of their full capabilities, as none of them were using much of their strength. Still, based on this fight, he got a rough estimate that these guys were at least 2 to 3 human levels.
Humans were one of the most stable species in the game and at level 1, his current total stats were at the peak of human capability.
This human level was a basic method that beginner players could use to get a rough estimation. A player would compare their stats to those normal humans who did not use any kind of power.
From what these new adventurers showed, their specialized stats should be double or triple that of a normal human.
In numbers, everyone started with 5 basic stats. Now a normal human had a peak of 10 to their stats, making it 50 total stats.
All the rulers in the trial had the same stats. Even after the redistribution, his current total stats were the same.
The human level means the power or agility a normal human could show at his peak.
If he could find a fit human with peak 10 stats, he compared himself with the guy and could calculate the exact distribution of his stats. But finding a human in peak state was tough.
There were many videos on the internet where players trained humans to the peak. Those gave players a rough estimation of what humans could do at their peaks. Many players used that as a unit to measure their power in the initial months.
One human level represented 10 stats. In his rough estimation, swordsmen had 20-30 stats in their strength, while it was hard to measure mage mana, it should be in the same range.
While the bear should have around 40 in strength and endurance, its agility was lower than 10. This was still a rough idea, but it was much better than knowing nothing.
This estimation helped him to understand the absurdity of bear power. Even if he was gaining 2 stats in strengths, he would still need 20 levels to match the bear's raw power.
While he was not sure how many more levels, he would need to endure the one punch of the Glittering bear. This simple beast was strong enough to kill most here in one punch if they did not use any source of power.
He shook his head and glanced at others in the cabin. None of them seemed to care about the fighting. This kind of beast should be a common occurrence here. He noted this and again started examining the fighting.
Soon, the fight reached its conclusion, with a young adventurer beheading the Glittering Bear.
After the monster was dead, he saw one of the old adventurers butchering the bear's body, pulling out valuable parts like the shiny horn, teeth, eyes, and even the meat. While they threw away the waste, down the mountain.
All of that happened in less than 5 minutes. They once again started moving, but this first encounter was like a switch that started a constant stream of monster encounters.
Their merchant group continued to encounter multiple common monsters. Some were easy to handle, while others required the combined effort of multiple adventurers.
He also realized that not all the monsters here were at the beginner level. They encountered three powerful wolf beasts that should be around levels 30-40 that even the adventurers had a hard time killing.
He came to know from one adventurer that they were in a beast territory and these beasts would continue to pop until their merchant group crossed this area.
While watching other fights, he felt tempted to join the adventurer group on multiple occasions, and he even asked for their permission a few times, but the leader of the group rejected him.
He did not force them much and just continued to observe different monsters while noting their power levels.
The journey after the monster territory was smooth sailing as they continued to travel the entire night.
The next morning Glitch saw a massive town in the valley below with huge stone walls. This was his destination the Ckiukuji town.
