A one-of-a-kind advanced game? Universal Online where every player had the same class of rulers. Being rulers players got to lead and transform a single species beyond anything. Unfortunately, this was not the game where every species could survive. The whole population of rulers jumped from planet to planet fighting to gain more resources for their survival. The winner got to advance and the loser lost everything. He was one of those who strived hard to survive but in the end, failed. At the end of everything miracle happened. He got reincarnated back in time - 4 years after the game’s release! Armed with a few years of advanced knowledge from his previous life, he decided to once again take the gamble. Forced by his gang to play the game he decided to reach the top. This is the story of Jules - a man who threw himself back intending to rule above everyone but with many being already 4 years ahead of him, will he succeed?
Glitch checked his space village status and the new title.
It was all standard stuff, but his eyes gleamed at two key details: infinite village capacity and a ten times faster time flow than the game world.
These 2 bonuses separated the space village from the game world, allowing the ruler not to worry about the population growth of their specie.
The ruler could focus more on their path. The space village's biggest downside was it consuming too much mental energy.
Sure, rulers got ample time to develop the space village, but spending too much time in the faster time flow led to fast exhaustion.
It was a common mistake for the first-timer to spend a long time in Space Village and then sleep outside the game to recover.
Each player needed to find their limit point. For him, he could stay around 2 hours of in-game time in the space village with no problem.
He stopped thinking about the space village time flow as Lark said in a low tone, "Boss, I have one more thing to give you."
Glitch nodded, as he remembered every ruler got some free stuff from the game AI. He pointed to the black land in front of him. "Place it there."
Lark raised his hand, and a bunch of white dots appeared in his hand. Soon, these dots transformed into a wooden chest.
Glitch wasted no time in opening the chest. "Let's see if things remain the same or not."
[Would you like to open the Wooden Chest?
(Yes/No)]
Without hesitation, Glitch immediately selected the 'Yes' option.
Ding!
[You got 200 copper.]
[You got 1 Forest terrain print.]
[You received the Gene lab blueprint.]
[You received 20 brown boars!]
[You received 20 deers!]
Glitch sighed. "It's the same."
Lark said at his side, "Congratulations Boss! You got so many things."
He nodded his head. It was nothing surprising, mostly the basic stuff that he expected from the wooden chest.
The only important thing was the gene lab blueprint. This was a special item given to all players with the Evolution path.
Glitch just picked up the money and said to Lark, "Open the shop."
Lark sighed in relief at this. He had doubts about whether the boss knew stuff, but it looked like all his worries were for nothing.
Glitch focused on the blue system shop in front of him.
<Shop >
[Buy]
[Sell]
He tapped on the buy option, and a new list appeared in front of him.
<Buy >
[Terrain prints.]
[Prey Monster.]
[Utility monsters.]
[Items.]
Glitch scrolled through the list for a long time in silence. His finger tapped on different options on the menu, checking all the available options in the shop.
The system shop was very random in the game, where there were limited things players could buy, and the system shop items were different for each player.
All the items in the shop depended on the 3 choices. Like in the items category, he only had a few blood power stuff.
These items were important for him compared to those with magic as a power source.
Even the few prey monsters available were all suitable for Shakhan's consumption.
For him, even the Utility monsters were super important. While Terrain prints were the same for everybody.
After he checked all the stuff, a plan formed in his mind about the important stuff that he needed to focus on first and the things he lacked in the system shop.
Right now, he had to create a stable environment and a stable food chain with this measly money.
After some thought, he sold half of the deer. It was a little waste to sell stuff, as it would only give him half the purchase price. Still, he needed a little more to create a stable environment.
[You sold the 10x deer]
[You get 200 copper coins.]
With 400 copper coins in hand, he opened the prey monster.
Ding!
[You bought 20x slime.]
[You bought 20x white horn rabbit.]
[You bought 20x Fox.]
…
[All the monsters are temporarily in your inventory.]
Just three small monsters, and he was down to the last 50 copper coins, which he saved for the forest terrain print.
Done with the shopping, he said, "Activate the Control panel."
A yellow screen appeared in front of him.
There were multiple options on the screen along with a 3rd transparent diagram of the space village around him.
He picked up the forest terrain print and placed it on top of the screen.
Ding!
[Print required a few stuff to work…]
[The first terrain detected a one-time 90% discount given to the player.]
[Forest terrain print required these few things:
Ground element mana stone: 0/1.
Water element mana stone: 0/1.
]
The requirements for the basic forest terrain were not high, to begin with, and he also had one mana element stone of each kind in the shop.
He purchased both these stones from the last 50 coins in the shop and placed them on top of the terrain print.
Both stones got absorbed in the forest terrain print scroll.
Ding!
[Forest terrain requirement met. It is ready to use.]
In the 3D diagram, what originally looked like a blank background had changed to a green forest landscape full of tall trees.
Even the amount of light falling on the trees increased like sunlight falling on them.
Glitch looked at Lark. "Let's create the first terrain."
"Okay, boss." Lark nodded his head.
Glitch jumped up and started floating above the black ground. After floating up around 30 meters, he tapped on the terrain print to use it.
The next second, the massive green forest appeared below his feet.
In the dull space village, the smell of damp leaves spread around. It looked like a natural forest that grew naturally in the space village. However, unlike the natural forest, there was lingering dead silence in the forest as there were no creatures except plants present in this forest.
While Glitch was looking from the top, Lark was moving in the forest, looking around in fascination.
After starting at the empty forest for some time, Glitch focused back on the 3rd diagram.
He started adjusting some tree positions and also created some water ponds within the forest. He told Lark to enhance the forest by adding small bushes and flowers.
After synchronizing with the space village, he could talk to Lark through telepathy, which was a big help.
