Chapter 6: Quirk Assessment Test

Kazuki returned to Musutafu City. He wore the UA's school uniform and took the bus. As soon as he arrived at the gates, he started walking to his classroom.

[Class 1-A]

Kazuki stopped and glanced at the huge door. 'Midoriya isn't yet here.' Kazuki opened the door and walked inside. He could feel a menacing glare, Kazuki noticed that Bakugo was looking at him with a threatening look.

'Well, his face is already menacing.' Kazuki thought. He found a blank seat near the window. Kazuki put his black bag at the side and sat down. 

"Oi." Bakugo stood up, he put his hand on Kazuki's table. "You, your Kazuki Uchiku right?" Bakugo's hand started to crackle. 

"I'm not him though?" Kazuki acted confused. "You're looking for the wrong guy," Kazuki said showcasing a smile.

All the other classmates watched this interaction between the top one and the top two.

Bang.

Bakugo slammed his hand on the table. "Hear this extra. I'll show you just who's stronger between us." Bakugo glared at Kazuki and sat back in his seat.

'Rude.' Kazuki sighed but didn't pry any further. 

After a few moments, Midoriya opened the door, and at the same time, Iida lectured Bakugo about manners.

Then Iida noticed Midoriya standing at the door. Everyone stared at Midoriya, except for Kazuki. 

Uraraka also arrived and began chatting with Midoriya who flushed red like a tomato.

"Go somewhere else if you want to play being friends." A voice interrupted them. Aizawa in a yellow sleep bag said lying on the floor. "This is the hero course." Aizawa slowly stood up and took off his sleeping cocoon.

'A person?' Everyone glanced at Aizawa.

"It took eight seconds before you were quiet." Aizawa looked at the other students. "I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you." He said.

Aizawa rummaged in his sleeping bag. "It's kind of sudden, but put this on and go out onto the field," Aizawa said.

On the field.

"A quirk assessment test?" The students all asked in unison.

"Uchiku, you finished the top of the practical exam right?" Aizawa asked putting both his hands inside his pocket. "What was your best result for the softball throw in junior high?"

"88 meters," Kazuki responded. 

Hearing his nonchalant response, Bakugo gripped his hand. 'My best result in softball throw in Junior High was only 67 meters.'

"Then try doing it with your quirk. You can do whatever you want as long as you stay in the circle." Aizawa said. "Do your best."

The whole class watched Kazuki.

'I never tried using it with my quirk.' Kazuki held the softball. Kazuki gestured for one of his index fingers.

"Eh, why is he holding the softball with one finger?" Kirishima scratched his head confused why Kazuki held the softball strangely.

'I'll try using 1 percent.' Kazuki thought, he moved his hand backward. 'Now' Kazuki threw the softball at the sky. Wind enveloped the softball as it flew with great and destructive speed.

Whoosh!

A strong powerful gust of wind shot to the sky enveloping the softball. 

"What the." The other students protected themselves, the sheer pressure of the wind causing them to stagger and take a few steps.

Bakugo covered his face. He glanced at Kazuki who had a nonchalant expression plastered on his face. 'One finger and it was enough to cause such destructive pressure?

It took a few minutes. The ball finally landed. Aizawa showed the results to the students. 

1500 meters.

The other students seeing the result were baffled by the sheer strength.

"1500 meters? Really?" Kaminari said baffled by Kazuki's strength.

"Oh, this is so fun!" Mina said clasping her hands.

"It's fun?" Aizawa asked hearing what Mina had said. "You have three years to become a hero." A smile formed on his face. "All right whoever comes in last place in all eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion."

"Huh?!" The students exclaimed altogether.

[Test 1: 50-Meter Dash]

Kazuki's opponent was Iida. They took a running position. 'I can manage to surpass Iida when it comes to speed.' 

"On your mark. Get set. Go!"

Iida shot with great speed. His eyes moved to his left, and Kazuki's silhouette emerged. 'What?' Iida was shocked seeing Kazuki's figure. Iida used more force trying to outspeed Kazuki.

But it wasn't enough. Kazuki shot faster than a bullet.

"2.98 seconds."

"3.04 seconds."

'He's fast.' Iida fixed his glasses staring at Kazuki. 'Isn't his quirk shockwave?'

Aizawa glanced at Kazuki. 'Kazuki Uchiku, quirk Crush. An enhanced power of Shockwave. Yet this kid is already showcasing how much mastery he has with his quirk.'

[Test 2: Grip Strength]

"540 kilograms? what are you a gorilla?" Hanta Sero shouted in amazement at Shoji's strength.

Kazuki glanced at the results. '80 kilograms, that's my normal strength without using my quirk.' 

[Test 3: Standing Long Jump]

Kazuki tapped his shoes. Using his quirk, he created a shockwave underneath his feet sending him flying to the other side. Kazuki reached the other side, his hands in his pockets.

[Test 4: Repeated Side Steps]

Kazuki stretched his arms. He used a bit of force on his feet. Kazuki started moving his feet, he continued moving side by side with incredible speed.

[Test 5: Ball Throw]

Kazuki stood in the corner watching the others. He glanced at Midoriya's worried expression. He sighed and stood still watching Uraraka.

As expected the girl threw the ball and the result was infinity. Kazuki wanted to go home, he was getting bored watching the others.

It was finally Midoriya's turn. 

Kazuki already knew what would happen. But he continued to watch the worried Midoriya. 'One For All, it's a powerful quirk. But, mine is better.' Kazuki rose a confident smile watching the scene unfold.

Midoriya was about to use his quirk. He threw the ball, but he only reached 46 meters.

Kazuki glanced at Aizawa. 'Can he erase my quirk as well?' Kazuki had that thought for a while. 'The system gave me this quirk, but still doesn't the system have some kind of protective layer?'

Midoriya was confused, he used his quirk but it stopped working midway.

"I erased your quirk," Aizawa said, his bandages flying all around. "That entrance exam was not rational enough." His eyes glowed red. "Even a kid like you was accepted."

Kazuki sighed seeing this interaction. He glanced at the side, Allmight was watching the scene unfold. "Aizawa sensei, is the quirk assessment finished?"

Everyone looked at Kazuki. It was the first time he spoke without being asked. The top rookie who stays quietly on the sidelines. 

"After this," Aizawa said and looked back at Midoriya. "From what I can tell you can't control your quirk, can you?" He added. "Do you intend to become incapacitated again and have someone to save you?"

"T-Thats not my intention-"

Before Midoriya could finish, Aizawa's bandage wrapped around him, pulling him closer. "Whatever your intention, I'm saying that's what those around you will be forced to do."
