21 Class President

Well, yesterday was fun fighting against Denki and Kyoka. Meeting Touya was out of the blue, and getting a call from Fuyumi within an hour of meeting him means she knows about my interaction with him at the peak. Well, whatever it is, she will tell me today, so let's wait and see.

As I was thinking about what happened yesterday, I reached the school gate. Today I came way earlier than I usually come to avoid the damn media. As I reached the class, I went to my seat and sat down. Some time later, Tokiyomi came in and sat beside me, so I greeted him, "Hey man."

"Hey" with a heavy voice.

"So your quirk is related to darkness, right?"

"Yes."

"Can I see?"

"Sure, no problem." He said that he unleashed a dark shadow, and it hovered around him.

Looking at it, I said, "Cool."

When the dark shadow heard my voice, it voluntarily came near me, observed me for some time, and made a sound.

I looked at Tokiyomi's answer, "He says hi."

"You can communicate with it?"

"I can. And it's rare for Dark Shadow to like someone. Usually he just scares them away at first, then warms up to them. But with you, he's acting like he knows you from before." He said that, looking at the dark shadow who has been looking at me like a long-lost brother. So to entertain him, I made a bird-like construct from my shadow and made him dance around the dark shadow.

Seeing a construct come out of my shadow, Tokiyomi looked at me strangely and asked, "You can control shadows?"

"Something like that." I replied with a smile to him.

"Well, that explains why the dark shadow is amicable towards you."

After playing with Dark Shadow for a little bit, I deconstructed the bird. Dark Shadow looked at me, so I said, "Be a good boy, and I'll make more friends for you."

Nodding his head, a dark shadow went back to where he came from.

Seeing this, Tokiyomi looked at me and said, "You have taught me how to do that. Sometimes I lose control of him when there's total darkness."

"It's best to let him be free for some time and play with him like I did. I can't communicate with him, but I know his intent, and it's only to protect you, and he hasn't grown like us; shadow creatures age way slower. So I would say he's eight or ten. So treat him like that, and he may—I won't say one hundred percent—but there will be a fifty percent chance you can control that state when you lose control of him."

"Really?"

"What? That's what I think from what I've seen so far."

"Thanks man."

"Anytime."

As we were talking, the rest of the guys slowly started to arrive. Momo looked at me like I killed her cat, so I asked her, "What?"

"You got here early."

"Yep. I had to do something, so I left home early."

"Are you guys from the same area?" Tokiyomi asked us.

"Nope. When she goes through my block in her car, she gives me a lift."

"Ah. I understand."

We just made small talk until the bell rang and Aizawa sensei came.

After making sure that we quieted down, he said, "Good work on yesterday's combat training. I saw the videos and results."

Looking at Bakugo "Bakugo, you are talented, so don't act like a kid."

"I know," he replied under his breath.

Then sensei looked at Midoriya and said, "And Midoriya. You settled it by breaking your arm again, huh?" Hearing his name being called, he was startled.

"You can't keep saying you can't keep it because you can't control your quirk. I don't like saying the same thing over and over again." Midoriya looked downward in shame.

"As long as you fix the control issue, there's a lot you will be able to do." He perked up hearing that.

"Feel a sense of urgency, Midoriya."

"Yes sensei."

Nodding at him Sensei looked at the whole class and said, "Now let's get down to homeroom business. Sorry about the late notice, but today, I'll have you decide on the class president."

I heard that everyone was screaming to make them president, and it was mayhem.

Then Iida took charge of it and spoke about something, so I just tuned him out. After a bit, it was decided to vote for the class president. When Iida asked for the opinion of sensei, his reply was, "I don't care as long as you decide before homeroom is over." And zipped his sleeping bag and slept at the podium.

So we started to vote. Since I didn't want to be the class president, I voted for Momo. I bet she's my friend, she has a good head on her shoulder, and she's flexible, unlike Iida.

After that, the results were published, and Momo and Midoriya took first place with their votes each. Momo was selected to be class president as she was the second in the quirk assessment test.

Then it was back to normal classes with English, math, and literature. After that, it was lunch time.

So I went to the cafeteria, took miso ramen as lunch, and sat at an empty table in the corner because I didn't want to be pushed around in the panic. A second later, Tokiyomi came and sat near me, and with a small voice, he said, "Dark Shadow is asking if he can play now."

"Sure." I replied to him as a dark shadow came out, and I made a bird construct from my shadow; this time it's a sentient one that is under my control, like how the shadow army was towards Shadow Monarch. Letting them play by the side, we ate our lunch while making some jokes here and there.

Five or six minutes later, the alarm rang, and a female robotic voice was heard: "There has been a level 3 security breach. All students, please evacuate outdoors. I repeat..." The voice repeated itself.

After hearing that Tokiyomi was going to stand up, I stopped him, and he looked at me confused. So I pointed outside, and he saw reporters. Then I said, "It's only the media; don't worry, sit down. And even if we were to move from here, it'd be a hassle." I said that by pointing out the students being pushed around by other students. Seeing this, he sat down with me and let out Dark Shadow, who, as soon as he came out, started to play with my shadow bird. A couple of seconds later, Iida made the students calm down by explaining things.

After that debacle was over, we went back to class. When we were all present, Midoriya said that it'd be best to post Iida as the class vice president. Then both Momo and Iida started to select the remaining members for the class council. Luckily, they didn't choose me for anything. After that was done, we went home.

On the way, I got a phone call from Fuyumi: {Where are you?}

"I'm reaching home. Why are you already there?"

{Yes. Come quickly, okay.}

"Alright, I'm coming. Play with Hana until I get there."

{I will.}
