SOFIE
We sat down on a towel and placed our plates beside us. We
watched as the sun slowly drowned into the depths of the great sea. This view
never gets old, no matter how many times we see it. Every time it seems to tell
a different story. "It's beautiful huh?" Alec asked. "Every single time." I
replied with a smile. Alec ruffled my hair and grabbed his plate of food. "Are
you really not mad at me anymore?" I asked, still upset. "I'm really not, now
shut up and eat." Alec said as he shoved a tikka in my mouth. "Okay okay." We
finished eating and put the dishes away. "Mario Kart?" I asked. "Hell yeah.
Dibs on player 1." Alec got up and rushed to the blanket fort. "Hey, that's not
fair." I followed him but he beat me to the fort. I grunted in annoyance.
"Should've been faster." Alec said sticking his tongue out. "One more second
until I pull that tongue out Huston." I calmly threatened. Alec quickly put his
tongue back in his mouth. "All sealed madam." He did an invisible zipping
motion with his hands. "Good. Now fight me." I said picking up the console. We
played 5 rounds. I won 3 and Alec won 2. "Haha sucker." I mocked. "Shut up, you
only won because I let you win." Alec threw a pillow at me. "Are you initiating
a pillow fight kiddo?" I asked dead serious. "Maybe I am old lady." Alec
replied reciprocating my seriousness. "Oh it's on." Saying that, I threw a
pillow at him and a pillow fight to death started. By the end of it, we were
left with no pillows and covered in stuffing. "Worth the loss." Alec stated.
"Agreed." I nodded. Then we both just busted out laughing. For the rest of the
evening, we read books, had hot cocoa and watched home alone. We picked sea
shells from the sand because Alec wanted souvenirs. Everything was just how I
wanted it to be, perfect. We had an amazing night together and patched right
up. Plan successful.
