Chapter 18 — Attack of the Droids (2/3)

Leaping out, I web the nearest droid before it can attack. Pulling myself towards the droid, I smash both my feet into its head taking it clean off its body.

"Sarah, hack into these damn Droids" I tell my AI.

{Already on it Peter} Sarah answers.

"Good" I say as I take out another droid.

{Peter some else is trying to gain remote access to the droids} Sarah informs me.

"Are they friendly?" I ask, in between dodging bullets.

{Let me ask}

Just as I was about to launch at another droid I spot a young child in an Iron Man mask raising a hand to the droid in front of them.

Sprinting close, I send a web to the 'Eyes' of the droid to stop its targeting system from attacking the child.

Just as my web hits, Iron Man drops down behind the kid and destroys the droid.

"Nice job kid" Iron man says before launching into the air again. Getting close to the child.

"Hey kid" I say getting his attention. "Come on let me take you to safety"

"Your-your Spider-man" the kid stutters a little.

"Sorry little dude, don't have time for pictures" I state picking him up and darting off to take him somewhere safe.

After dropping the kid off to some cops, I spot a fresh batch of droids heading back towards the Expo.

{Peter, the one trying to remote access the droids is another AI who called themselves Jarvis. It's a creation of Tony Stark} Sarah explains.

"Okay it's a friendly, help Jarvis gain control" I tell Sarah.

{Understood}

"Sarah, get me access to Iron Mans comms" I tell her as I see all the droids leave the Expo. "Also give me his location"

"—Your vitals all look promising" I hear a woman's voice say in my ear.

{Comms connected}

"Yes, for the moment, I'm not dying. Thank you" A voice I recognise as Tony Stark say.

"What do you mean you're not dying? Did you just say you're dying?" Another different female voice says worried.

{Iron Man is located at the Biodome}

"Is that you? No, I'm not. Not anymore" Tony tells the second woman.

Ignoring part of their couple spat I get myself close to the Biodome and jump onto the roof.

"Hey, hey. Save it for the honeymoon. You got incoming Tony. Looks like the fight's coming to you" the first Woman's voice says.

"Ah yes that would be me" I say into their comms.

"Wait? What? Who the hell are you? Jarvis" Tony questions.

"I'm Spider-Man" I say

[That would be Spider-Man sir] a British voice says.

"Spider-Man? That dude that swings around the city?" Rhodey questions.

"The very same" I say as I drop down from the roof.

"Whatever" Tony mutters going over to the Iron suit in the ground.

Tony resets Rhodeys suit and helps him up, they apologise to each other before moving into the important matter at hand.

"Thank you. That's all I wanted to hear. Partner. They're coming in hot, any second. What's the play?" Tony questions everyone.

"Well, we want to take the high ground, okay? So let's put the biggest gun up on that ridge" Rhodey says, both Tony and Rhodey move to head to the ridge.

"Got you. Where do you want to be?" Tony asks.

"Where are you going?" Rhodey questions.

"What're you talking about?" Tony reply's.

"I meant me" Rhodey states.

"You have a big gun. You are not the big gun" Tony tells him.

"*Sigh* Ladies, LADIES, your both pretty but we've got company" I say getting their attention.

"All right, You go up to. I'll draw them in" Tony starts.

"Don't stay down here. This is the worst place to be" Rhode states glancing at both Tony and myself.

"I'll stay down here, I'm faster then bullets anyways" I state beginning to stretch out a little, getting strange looks from both men.

"Always good to stretch before a fight" I state.

"Okay, you got a spot. Where's mine?" Tony ask looking at Rhodey.

"It's the kill box, Tony. Okay This is where you go to die" Rhodey says as both him and Tony prepare to fight.

Just as Rhodey finish's all the droids begin to land all around the three of us.

"You guys focus in the droids, I'll act as support" I say glancing at the still droids. Both men nod and lower their face masks.

Then the shooting begins.

I quickly flip out of the way, with the use of my spider sense I'm able to escape any stray bullets as the droids focus on the two Men wearing the Iron man suits.

As Tony and Rhodey start firing back, I flip, twist and slide my way past the droids webbing them up and disabling their guns as the Iron Suited dude take them out.

"I gotta say you got moves Kid" I hear Tony say in my comms.

"Your not so bad yourself old man" I reply quickly, removing another droid from the game.

"Rhodey, Spiderling get down" Tony shouts firing up his arm lasers?

Sliding to the ground, I spot a blazing red beam go past me taking out all the droids left standing.

"Wow. I think you should lead with that next time" Rhodey says with a tinge of annoyance.

"I agree that's was dope" I say grinning like mad.

"Yeah. Sorry boss. I can only use it one. It's a one-off" Tony states releasing the laser capsules from his arm.

"Say... ever thought of making a lightsaber? I know a guy who would kill for one" I also think about Ned.

"Ha, of course not" Tony states but even I could tell he was lying.

"Your totally lying" i murmur.

"Head up. You got one more drone incoming. This one looks different. The repulsor signature is significantly higher" The female voice speaks again.

"Say lady I never got your name?" I ask the unknown woman.

"It's Natasha, now focus up Spider-boy" Natasha tells me.

"Ah I know who you ar-" I get cut off as far bigger suited dude lands in the Biodome.

"Good to be back" The man says.

"Say he isn't a friend of yours is he?" I ask no one in particular.

"This ain't gonna be good. I got something special for this guy. I'm gonna bust his bunker with the Ex-Wife" Rhodey says, as the dude I now believe is Whiplash turns on his whips.

"With the What" Tony asks confused.

Rhodey shoots a tiny rocket out of his shoulder, but it his Whiplash's suit does nothing and fizzles out in the water.

"Hammer Tech?" Stark questions.

"Yeah" Rhodey reply's.

Stark then fires multiple mini missiles at whiplash doing zero damage. Whiplash then attacks with his whips forcing us to scatter in an attempt to dodge them.

Rhodey fires at Whiplash with his mini gun, still doing no damage, as I shot two webs at Whiplash trying to pull him off balance which works as it cause Whiplash to hit Rhodey Gun not his suit.

Whiplash then lashes at me with a singular whip causing me to try and dodge, but unfortunately it clips me sending electric pulses throughout my body.

He then turns his attention to Tony, as I try and regain a little control of my body. Thankfully I do as whiplash catch's Thodey in his Whip.

As Whiplash goes to pull Rhodey to him, I jump at him and land a solid knee to his helmet, the shock causing him to release Rhodey as Tony flys down and strikes Whiplash on the head.

As Tony goes in for a few punch's, I snap out a kick into the knee joint of the Whiplash suit causing it to stumble a little.

But that didn't make a difference as Whiplash uses it to head butt Tony and strike me with his electrified Whips, due to the close proximity I couldn't dodge.

As I get back up, I see Whiplash has both Tony and Rhodey locked up with his whips. Jumping over the trio, I prepare to use my Venom Shock to disorientate Whiplash as I hear Tony make a plan with Rhodey.

I shoot two webs as Whiplash and send a high voltage venom shock through them as Tony and Rhodey fire at each other making a ball of energy form in-front if Whiplash.

"Kid get down" I hear Tony shout, I leap out of the way as the ball of energy explodes. The force of the Explosion sends me flying a good distance before I flip over and slide to a stop.

Jogging over to the two Iron men, we walk over to see if Whiplash is alive. As we all stare at him in silence.

Whiplash whispers, "you lose" as his suit starts beeping followed by the rest of the droids.
