Purple Eyes

The encounter with the strange man left Matthew both surprised and confused. He wasn't sure what to make of it.

"He had purple eyes?" Valentina asked, her expression thoughtful.

"They were brown but with a purple hue. And there was a strange aura surrounding him. He was definitely a shifter, but I couldn't tell what kind. He wasn't a werewolf, that's for sure," Matthew explained.

"How can you be sure?" Callan questioned.

"His scent… it was different. Almost rancid," Matthew scrunched his nose at the memory.

"Maybe he just hadn't showered in a long time," Callan joked.

"Shut up, Cal. I know the difference. Trust me on this. That guy was evil. I could sense it. He kept saying crazy things to me," Matthew shook his head, still trying to make sense of the encounter.

"He was trying to create problems between you and Ronan," Valentina said, her mind seemingly elsewhere.
