Meanwhile, Sophia hunched over Ronan, tears dripping down her cheeks, and she couldn't seem to control them. Ronan looked really hurt and he was weak. What if he died? She claimed to hate him before but she wasn't sure anymore.
"What did you do to my mate?" Sophia screamed, her voice breaking with desperation.
"Your mate? What the hell are you talking about, Sophia?" Liz shouted back, her eyes wide with confusion as she looked between Sophia and their father.
"You hurt him. You hurt my mate!" Sophia's voice trembled as she cradled Ronan, who was unconscious on her lap, his stab wounds too severe. Damn it, why wasn't it self-healing? Sophia wondered.
"Ronan, wake up!" She pulled the spears from his back and shook him, but he didn't respond.
"This monster is your mate? What nonsense is this? There must be some kind of mistake," her father, Alpha Jeremiah, said, disbelief evident in his tone.
