Chapter 059 Loki: No, It’S My Stuff!!

S.H.I.E.L.D. was unable to control the Tesseract and accidentally activated it. The energy began to release uncontrollably, growing more unstable as time passed. It seemed like the Tesseract had a consciousness of its own, doing whatever it wanted.

Upon learning of the situation, Nick Fury rushed back to S.H.I.E.L.D. after handling another matter. Three days later, he returned to the S.H.I.E.L.D. building. By this point, the Tesseract had completely gone out of control, opening a portal to space—allowing Loki to descend to Earth.

It wasn't until Loki stole the Tesseract using the Mind Scepter that Nick Fury realized the gravity of the situation. Luo Bai's words echoed in his mind: "Do you think you can control everything? No, you can't control anything."

Nick Fury was frustrated but had no time to dwell on his mistakes. The fact that the Tesseract was now in Loki's hands would undoubtedly become a serious threat to Earth. Fury could only ask others for help—though he knew that Luo Bai could likely resolve this issue, he didn't dare to ask him directly.

Meanwhile, at Stark Tower...

Stark and Pepper were sharing drinks and conversation.

"Tony, I remember you upgraded your suit, right? So why do you seem so out of it these days?" Pepper asked, concerned.

Stark said nothing at first and took a sip of his drink. Three days ago, Luo Bai had told him that aliens were about to invade Earth. Although he knew that the Sorcerer Supreme and Luo Bai would protect the planet, he was still uneasy. His worry left him anxious, though he didn't want to burden Pepper with the truth.

"Just feeling a little tired," Stark said, managing a smile.

Pepper, noticing his exhaustion, tried to comfort him: "You've been working non-stop on that suit. Maybe you just need a break, Tony."

Stark couldn't rest, though. His mind was filled with thoughts of impending alien invasion.

Suddenly, Jarvis's voice came through his phone: "Sir, my program has been rewritten."

Before Stark could react, Coulson's voice chimed in: "Stark, we need to talk. Now."

Colson? Someone from S.H.I.E.L.D.?

The moment Stark heard his voice, he became alert. "I've been looking for you. Wherever you are, I'm coming to meet you," Stark said. No sooner had he spoken than Coulson appeared at the door.

Immediately, Stark sent a secret message to Luo Bai, then turned to face Coulson. "Where's Nick Fury? Why didn't he come?"

"The director is handling other matters," Coulson said, with a faint smile.

"Handling other matters? More like endangering the Earth!" Stark snapped, his expression serious.

Coulson looked confused but didn't press the issue. "I'm not sure what you mean, but I'll inform the director. In the meantime, take a look at the information I've just uploaded to your phone."

With that, Coulson left.

Stark quickly reviewed the S.H.I.E.L.D. data. As Luo Bai had warned, S.H.I.E.L.D. had been researching the Tesseract, and now an alien named Loki had stolen it. Stark, unable to stay calm, immediately flew to Luo Bai's apartment.

At Luo Bai's apartment...

When Stark arrived, Luo Bai was already waiting for him. "Thank God you're home!" Stark blurted as soon as the door opened.

"I got your message. I figured you'd be coming, so I waited here," Luo Bai replied calmly.

Stark hurriedly explained the situation: "You were right. Nick Fury was studying the Tesseract, and now an alien named Loki has stolen it. He's incredibly dangerous."

"I know," Luo Bai responded, unfazed. He had already foreseen these events using the Time Stone.

Stark was more anxious than ever. "This Loki guy—he seems incredibly powerful. Do you know anything about him?"

"Yes, he's an Asgardian and the son of Odin," Luo Bai explained.

Stark froze, his eyes wide in disbelief. "Odin? As in, the Odin? The Norse god?"

Luo Bai nodded. Stark, still processing this revelation, muttered: "I think I need a minute to digest this."

At that moment, Polaris walked in, handing Stark a cup of coffee. "Thank you, Miss Lorna. This coffee couldn't have come at a better time," Stark joked, though his mind was still racing.

After sipping his coffee, Stark finally asked, "Luo Bai, just one more question."

"Go ahead."

"Who's stronger—Odin or the Sorcerer Supreme?"

Luo Bai sighed. "I've never fought Odin, so I really don't know."

That answer didn't exactly calm Stark's nerves. "Loki is Odin's son, right? So does Odin know he's here on Earth, stealing the Tesseract?"

"No, Odin doesn't know," Luo Bai assured him.

Stark sighed in relief. "Okay, at least that's something. But can the Sorcerer Supreme handle Loki?"

"That will be easy enough," Luo Bai replied confidently.

"That's good to hear. Loki's too dangerous to be left on Earth." Stark downed the rest of his coffee and asked, "So, what's the plan?"

"We wait," Luo Bai said simply.

"Wait? For what?"

"For Loki to come to me. He has to answer for his invasion of Earth," Luo Bai explained.

Stark stared at him, confused. "Wait—Loki's just going to come to you willingly? For judgment?!"

Instead of replying, Luo Bai used magic to summon two objects: a glowing blue cube and a scepter.

"What are those?" Stark asked, eyes widening.

"The Tesseract and the Mind Scepter," Luo Bai said.

Stark's jaw dropped. "What?! How did you—?"

Luo Bai smiled. "He'll be here soon."

Meanwhile, in another location...

Loki stared at his now-empty hands in disbelief.

Where's my Tesseract?! Where's the Mind Scepter?!

His precious artifacts had vanished without a trace.

Suddenly, he noticed a note on the ground. It read: Thank you for delivering the Infinity Stones. To express my gratitude, you are invited to come here. The note included an address, signed by The Sorcerer Supreme.

Loki's face twisted in fury. "Sorcerer Supreme?! Damn it, you've stolen from me! Just you wait—I'm coming for you!!"
