CHAPTER - 9 { HYDRA Base Part-2 }

"So this is the aircraft you were talking about."

Creed raised his head and looked at the distortion in the air, soon revealed to be a flying aircraft called the quinjet.

'Cloaking… I need this technology.'

He thought in his mind as the quinjet landed on the ground and its hatch opened. From the looks of it, this aircraft could carry at least two dozen people in it.

Excluding the luggage it is. Creed carried his large bag and stepped in the quinjet where Nick Fury and Natasha Romanoff were waiting.

Fury was wearing black trench coat and black clothes inside. Similarly, Natasha was also wearing black clothes. Assassin type, for easy movement.

"You're going in that? A suit?"

Fury, from the cockpit, turned back and commented on Creed's black suit. Never had he seen a hitman wear a gentleman's dress and go on a mission.

"You look nice. Except the fact that you are wearing a mask which covers your handsome face."

Natasha smiled at Creed while he settled down on the seat opposite to her's.

"Let's go."

* * *

Up in the sky, blocked by the white clouds, the quinjet flew extremely fast.

Cloaking required a charge and they couldn't just continuously use it. So cloaking was only used when they had to hide from someone.

Inside the quinjet, Creed glanced around and checked the interior. The cloaking technology that quinjets used, interested him a lot.

Maybe in the future he could use it on his suit and cloak right in front of the target and then eliminate them quickly.

But if he gets his hands on this technology.

"How long have you been doing this? Killing for money?"

Natasha asked, she and he had already unstrapped from the seats when the quinjet reached a certain height in the sky.

"My whole life."

"... Do you sometimes feel like you should just drop this and live a simple and peaceful life?"

"Every dream I have, that's all I can think of. But later in the same dream, I would only suffer as my loved ones die."

Hearing him, Natasha slightly nodded her head and leaned back on the seat into a much more comfortable position.

"I sometimes wish I was normal. But reality sucks for people like us."

She stared up and sighed. Creed remained silent and listened to her.

In the cockpit, Fury heard them and marked it in his memory. Many had choices, some like them didn't. Even when times were difficult for them, they didn't have anyone to cry to.

"It's getting sad…"

Natasha muttered, a chuckle then escaped her mouth. She looked up and stared straight at Creed's eyes, or the mask.

"And here I thought you would open up to me. Tough nut to crack huh."

She could only see the mask on him, which fully covered his face. Even the eyes were blocked. His medium length black hair smoothly falls on the sides.

His entire figure remained like a statue observing every single detail of the quinjet. Only his head turned, for answering or questioning.

"How many Hydra soldiers do you estimate will be there?"

"Roughly a hundred, but I think it's less than that. Better be safe than sorry."

Natasha said simply. They had traveled quite far in distance from the mainland and the ocean was only spreading more.

"We are here."

From the cockpit, Fury alerted Creed and Natasha. The quinjet entered cloaking and distorted in the sky with the air, becoming invisible to naked eyes.

There were no defense radars in the world that could detect a quinjet in cloaking yet.

As the quinjet descended down the sky, the clouds opened up and showed a huge island in the center of nowhere, the international waters.

Here, in the international waters, no laws worked. One could kill and not be imprisoned.

WOOSH!

The quinjet landed on the ground at the edge of the island, in a distance from the Hydra base. No alarms rang, indicating they weren't discovered.

The hatch opened, Creed, Natasha and Fury cautiously came out with guns in their hands.

Fury also carried a large container filled with poison gas other than his gun. Creed went ahead and surveyed the surrounding area.

"There's a problem."

After he returned from surveying, he said in a heavy voice. From the moment he stepped out to check, he counted at least fifty Hydra soldiers outside the entrance.

"What happened?"

"There's too many of them. At least fifty outside. And there might be even more inside."

"That wasn't in the plan."

Natasha muttered as she looked at Fury. She read the details and knew that there were many Hydra soldiers but this many.

She didn't expect it.

Fury tightened his brows and pondered whether the information he received was wrong or tempered with.

He got this from Alexander Pierce, could he be the one? No, it shouldn't be. Pierce was a top ranking member in S.H.I.E.L.D., he wouldn't do so.

"Hydra is up to something. We must find what they are trying to do. It could be something very dangerous for everyone."

Fury said in a cold tone. Natasha was so used to being with Fury that she knew he wouldn't back away from a threat.

"I am not paid enough to work for you. I am only going to protect you, that's all. And if there's too much danger I am retr-"

Creed stopped himself from finishing the sentence, he was a little surprised. Why would he say that in front of these two?

"This is a top secret mission, right?"

"Yes?"

Natasha answered, she was confused on what Creed was getting on.

"Other than you two, does anyone know I am here?"

"No?"

Once again Natasha replied to him in puzzlement. However Fury guessed what Creed was thinking in his mind.

He quickly raised his gun and stepped back, the PS-90 rifle muzzle locked on Creed's head. Natasha was stunned but her experience was high, she aimed her Glocks at Creed.

The air was filled with tension, Fury and Natasha had their guns marked Creed.

While Creed stayed motionless in his position, he moved his head and looked at the two.

"It was just a thought. Nothing more."

He tried to explain but Fury and Natasha were glaring at him. He could feel that their fingers were prepared to pull the triggers.

"You said we could trust him!"

"My mistake. I think I mistook this guy as someone else, someone who is at the top of the hitman list."

Fury was furious, Natasha on the other hand was slightly sad that he didn't respect his commitments.

Creed sighed, he dropped his weapons and raised his hands up in the air.

"Five million, and I will kill all the Hydra soldiers inside the base in 24 hours. That's my limit."

"Why should we listen to you?"

"You don't. I will be back."

Creed slowly stepped back and entered the forest, his destination was the Hydra base entrance. While his presence was gone, Fury and Natasha sighed in relief.

"For the first time in my life I could see fear. Damn! Bastard was really going to kill us."

Fury said as he leaned back and sat down under a tree. Natasha stared towards the direction where Creed headed.

She failed to sense the killing intent which emitted from Creed, that Fury was able to fortunately.

'I need to learn and improve. Now I can't beat him.'

Natasha turned and went towards the quinjet. Fury called out to her but she was fully occupied with various thoughts.

BANG! BANG!

Da! Da! Da! Da!

The loud gunshots echoed in the forest. Birds were scared away by them as they flew up in the sky and escaped from the island.

Very soon the gunshots turned silent.

Both Natasha and Fury were unaware of what was happening past the dense trees.
