Marvel Fanfic: Daemon’s story

Overpowered MC, Daemon. And a leveling up MC, Ray. There are two MCs, both transmigrate into the marvel universe. Daemons personality is all over the place, playful yet intense, short tempered yet in control. He has not a strand of conscience nor kindness in his bones. Ray, in comparison to Daemon is a Ray of sunshine. However that warmth could be a mask at times. He’s usually stoic and cool headed. He’s not indiscriminately cruel like Daemon, but if he needs to, then yes he can kill.

Chapter 7

Whoosh!

" Okay, I asked to get teleported to New York City, not to the sky of New York!"

" You didn't specify, next time do so." His system, Agonist disregards his hosts cry as they descended.

" Whatever, it's not like I'll die."

" Worth a shot." The system mumbles.

" Wow! I've never had a system who plots my murder!" Daemon claps in awe. He pushes his hair out of his face. " And here I thought we had a loving relationship." He shakes his head in disappointment.

" You forgot the word 'hate' your sentence." Agonist deadpans in a dull voice.

" Love- hate?"

" Just hate."

" Aww, that's too bad. And here I was thinking to give you some crystals later for a hardware upgrade, since you used your own energy to teleport us here."

" Love- hate suits us just well." Agonist raises its white flag first.

" Hahaha! Oh look, I can see the ground now!"

Daemon pierces through the clouds in his way before slamming onto the ground.

" Incoming bitches!" He shouts right as he collided with the dirt. He lands on his feet, standing up right. A crater formed underneath his figure, just like the rest of land nearby that was overturned.

Once the dirt and dust clouds settled down, Daemon took in his surroundings.

" A forest? Seriously, agonist?" Daemon sighs, putting his hand above his eyes to block the strong sunlight. There's a large forest in front of him and empty grass land behind him. " Where are-"

" You have incoming guests."

" Eh? Who-"

Agonist interrupts Daemon again by taking a white mask from its inventory and slamming it on his face.

" Ow! Gently, agonist. Didn't anyone teach you to be gentle to your host?!" Daemon huffs as he positions the mask correctly.

" 50 shield agents, including 2 above average humans. 990 meters away. Be civilized... And prepare for battle, just in case, but no killing!"

" So everything other than death is allowed, nice. Time for some fun." Daemon devilishly grins.

" 450 meters away. Talk first!"

" I got it, stop nagging already." Daemon picks his ear, attempting to block out his systems voice.

One by one, agents step out the forest, entering Daemon's line of sight. A man in blue tights and a lady in black tights appear first, leading the group.

" ... Is tights the new fashion sense on this earth or something?" Daemon cringes.

" They're heroes. Black widow and the man's captain America. Both are the favored by this world so you can't kill them." The system, Agonist, introduced as it floated up in the air to get away from the possible future bloodbath. It didn't like the smell of blood.

" Hm-mm." Daemon hums in acknowledgement as he waits for the others to get closer.

As every single persons gun pointed at Daemon, the corner of his lips twitched. It's one of his pet peeves, he hated getting the other end of a gun.

" Who are you?! What you doing here?!" The redhead lady in tights steps forward, shouting in an interrogatory tone.

Daemon spreads his hands as if welcoming a hug. " I'd love to answer any question from a beautiful lady, but let's be civilized. Put your guns down."

" Answer our questions first." Captain America steps up.

Daemon, in an overly exaggerated, sighs heavily. " I will when I don't feel threatened. And it's not like I even want to be here." He crosses his arms complaining.

" Then why are you here?" Captain America slightly lowers his shield as he inquired.

The men behind him followed his example and lowered their guns as well. They didn't put them away, just in case they needed them.

" Well, you see, I think my wife, Agonist, got mad at me. And next thing I know I'm sky diving in the middle of nowhere." Daemon shakes his, as if truly bewildered.

' You mo******** *****! Who the **** is your wife, you *******?! ***** *****!' Agonist screeches mentally in Daemons mind.

' Ouch, stop yelling like a hormonally unstable lady on her period.' Daemon holds his temple in pain. ' I swear, you must be a female.'

' I am not a female! Midlevel systems don't have a gender! And even if I was, I'm not crazy enough to get together with a psychopathic maniac!!!' Agonist berates Daemon as it seethes in anger.

' Are you on it or something? You keep snapping at me today. That hurts my feelings~'

' Arghh!'

" Your wife???" Captain America blinks in confusion.

" Anyway, mind telling me where am I? And how to get to New York City from here? Please."

" You landed somewhere confidential. We need to escort you back, as we were ordered. So if you could come with us peacefully, I'd appreciate it."

" Eh? Do I have to? I don't want to. I'm gonna be late for my date. My wife gets super scary when she's angry, you know." Daemon grins playfully under his mask.

" Not an option, sir." The man shakes his head.

' Go with them!' Agonist interrupts.

' Why?'

' Just go!'

" Fine~" Daemon opts to appease his system for now. It gets troublesome when his system acts out.

The agents surround him as they escort him back to their base.

They enter a large futuristic building, and head to the elevator. Only Captain America and Black Widow enter with Daemon.

As the elevator climbs up the floors, the lady looks at Daemon. " So, your wife teleported you in the sky to some random place?"

" Yeah, I think I made her really mad today." Daemon says sighing downcast, gaining the lady's interest.

" Why was she mad?"

" Hmm, not sure. Maybe I teased her too much this morning?" He placed his hand of his chin, in complementation.

She lets out a small smile before turning away. " Don't be mean to your wife, or she'll divorce you."

" Haha she won't... probably."

Captain America chuckles and joins in on the conversation. " You're lucky she didn't drop you in the middle of the ocean."

" Right, right." Daemon let out a light laugh, nodding in agreement.

Ding!

The elevator doors open.

" Follow me." Black Widow steps out first and leads Daemon to a semi- interrogation room that looked like a meeting room.

" Wait here. We'll be with you shortly." Captain America says before closing the door on his way out.

Daemon gets comfy in a swivel chair. He looks around the room as his pale fingers drum on the oak table.

' One, two, three... wow, twelve, thirteen-'

' Sixteen concealed cameras to capture your every move, and twelve sound transmitters.'

' I was literally just counting them.'

' Hmph, you're too slow.'

The two continued to bicker as they wait.

Meanwhile, in an other room filled with TV's and technology, agents were spying on Daemon.

" What's he looking at?" An agent mutters as they lean towards their screen.

" Sir, he looked at where most of the hidden cameras are." Black Widow, real name Natasha, observed.

" ... I see. So he's strong enough to be unscathed by a free fall and he can also detect surveillance. Another alien?" A black man with an eye patch, Nick Fury, the Director of the organization Shield, questions.

" He looks pretty human to me. And he said he's married." Captain America, Steve Rogers, speaks up.

" Married?" Nick quirks an eyebrow up.

" He said his wife is the one who teleported him here." Natasha says as she sits down in a chair.

" Tel- teleported?" Nick sighs heavily. " So we have teleportation, as well, on our plate now. Anything else?"

" Not that I know of." Natasha shakes her head.

" He seems strong, a level higher than me." Steve comments.

" That strong?" Nick raised both eyebrows as he crossed his arms.

" Yes. We should take a peaceful approach rather than aggressive." Steve voices his opinion.

" Alright. Then you two go in and get answers." Nick ordered.

" Yes sir." Natasha and Steve get up.

Before Natasha opens the door, Steve stops her.

" Let's play nice."

She nods, okaying the play Steve wanted to do.

" Yo, welcome back." Daemon waves at them as they enter his room.

" We have some questions, would you mind answering them?" Natasha starts off after they sat down across Daemon.

" Sure, I'll answer what I can." Daemon nods, adopting a generous mood.

" Awesome. Then first of all, what's your name?" Steve asks.

" Daemon."

Natasha jots that down, and looks back up at Daemon. " Last name?"

" Don't have one."

" You don't have a given last name?"

" Nope, I'm an orphan. Probably not in any government system either."

" Where were you born?" Steve continues.

" Not sure." Daemon tilts his head, for he truly didn't know where he was born. His memories are a bit jumbled.

" Okay, what's your wife's name?" Steve switches topics.

" Agonist."

" Her power is teleportation?"

" Yes." Daemon nods.

" Any other powers?"

" Not sure. She keeps a lot of secrets from me."

" Do you have any superpowers?" Natasha brings up.

" If it's the ones you're speculating, then yes."

" What am I speculating?" She edges Daemon on, trying to get as much information as she can out of him.

" I don't know right now. Want me to read your mind?" Daemon leans forward.

" You can read minds?"

" Hahaha, no I can't. My wife can though." Daemon reclines back to his comfortable chair.

Natasha wrote that information that down as well.

" Can you take off your mask?-"

" No."

" Alright..."

They go back and forth with questions and vague answers from Daemon for an hour. Since they couldn't get anything of major importance out of him, they got up.

" Well, our boss wants to speak with you now. Just a minute."

Steve and Natasha head out.

A few minutes later, Nick Fury came in. He goes to sit in front of Daemon. He crosses his arms and stays silent.

Minutes go by as they stare at each of in silence.

Nick finally speaks. " I'm debating what to do with you."

" Hahahaha!" Daemon's head tilts back as he crackles. " You're not god. You don't get to control my life."

" I do now. You landed in my territory." Nick states smugly.

" You're just a puny little human, yet you act so condescending." Daemon shakes his head in disbelief.

" Aren't you human as well?" Nick narrows his eye.

" Ah, right. Haha, I guess I'm human right now. It's been awhile since someone called me human." Daemon chuckles to himself.

In his last mission, he was a dragon for a couple decades. He had to train a few protagonists of that world. Once one them died, he was booted out of that world.

" Right now?" Nicks eyebrows furrowed, creating deep wrinkles on his forehead.

" Well, this was fun and all, but it's time for me to go now." Daemon slowly gets up and stretches a bit.

Nick jumps up and draws his gun. " You can't leave until you answer all my questions and we confirm you don't have any ill intentions for Earth."

" Well, if you want to fight, then I don't mind. But you'll get hurt you know." Daemon playfully grins.

His shadow slithers to his hands to form two daggers. Their slick and pitch black blades glistened.

" So you did have another superpower." Nick steps back, and opens the safely on his gun.

" How silly. You could've just asked if wanted to know about me."

" I want concrete facts, not the vague answers you gave halfhearted."

" Haha, at least you have guts. What would you have done if lost my temper?"

" Put you down."

Steve and Natasha burst through the door and run to take Nicks side as Daemon laughed.

" Only the gods of this world have a chance in killing me." Daemon snarls. " Ah, I feel angry now. And here I was trying play nice."

Daemon steps forward, his black eyes glistening as dark blue smoke rose from his eyes through the mask.

' Hold in your anger!' Agonist panics as it prepares a teleportation spell.

" I'll leave these three alive. Everyone else is dead." Daemon mutters lowly for Agonist, yet everyone else heard him as well.

' You can't do that right now! The plot line will derail!'

' Then you shouldn't have made me come here!' Daemon scoffs as his rage cooled.

' That was just me getting petty revenge!'

The shadow daggers in Daemons hands disappear.

" Daemon, calm down. We meant no harm! Nick was just trying to sound you out." Steve and the others slowly back away from Daemon.

Daemon ignores them as he raised his hands. The shadows in every corner start to slither like snakes. The entire building was encircled by a dark shield, blocking out the sunlight.

A blob of darkness wobbled out of Daemons shadow to stand in front of him.

" Other than those in this room, cut off the right arm of every single person in this building."

Daemon's shadow bows then dashed out the room.

Every single shadow in the building followed Daemons command. Seconds later, screams rung out as blood was spilled, staining the walls.

" Daemon!" Enraged, Steve lunges at Daemon.

But before he could reach Daemon, Steve's own shadow stretched out and formed binds around his body.

" Wha- damn it!" Steve struggles as he was forced to his knees.

Nick and Natasha were also held down by their shadows.

Daemon walked up to Nick. He stared at the old man in contempt.

" Try to ' sound me out' again, and I'll cut off the necks of your men next time, not their arms." Accompanied by the agents' screams, Daemons voice sounded like a devils warning.

A dark purple portal opened right behind Daemon.

' Don't take your anger out on innocent people!' Daemon heard Agonist yell as he was pushed back by the system, and falls into the portal.

Once Daemon and the portal disappeared, all the shadows dispersed. Light shone on the building again.

" Damn it! I told you to play nice!" Steve slams the ground with his fist in anger. He jumps up and runs out to check on the others.

Natasha glanced at Nick before following Steve. Steve and her were against riling Daemon up. By instinct they knew they wouldn't stand a chance if Daemon was truly angered.

Yet, Nick insisted. He wanted to know what else Daemon was hiding. Weather or not he could use Daemon for Shield.

Nick silently stood up.
