Marvel: A New God's Reign

I am not really that good at writing a synopsis but here goes nothing, * * * Synopsis : An ordinary soul is reincarnated in the Marvel multiverse as a New God, the son of Odin and the Phoenix Force. He is considered a mutant among gods and the messiah of the entire mutant race. He even has a suspicious system that makes him stronger way quicker than the rate gods are supposed to grow at. But all that doesn't matter. What matters is for him to survive and grow as strong as possible to survive the storm coming for him and maybe find a few people whom he can call friends and family. * * * Note : Alternate Universe(s) * * * You can also read chapters in advance by visiting my Pa-treon page, pat reon.com/God_Doom * * * You can also join my discord channel through this link: https://discord.gg/WYVfYe2KNS * * * Author's note : I do not own Marvel or any of its characters other than my own OC.

Chapter 40: Clash of Titans

---

"The moment you think of giving up, think of the reason why you held on so long."

– Natsu Dragneel, (Fairy Tail)

---

<(Atem POV)>

"Dude, everyone in the world is hungry at some point, but it doesn't mean that you eat someone else's planet, do you? Learn some fucking manners first." I joked to try to lighten my panicking heart as I used my omega-level telekinesis at its full might to throw Galactus away from the solar system.

But even my psionic might despite being at its full power was only strong enough to give him a light push much like a kid pushing away an adult. I tried to use my telepathic powers to try and get into his mind too but that also failed spectacularly. His mind felt like an impenetrable wall instead of the normal mortal minds that I had expertise in controlling.

"Galactus can't be controlled." The huge space giant spoke up in a stoic voice as he looked at me with cold eyes.

After uttering these words, he flicked his wrists dismissively, as if I were a mere nuisance. From his colossal frame, a surge of violet power erupted and hurled me across the cosmic debris making me tumble and spin through asteroids and comets until I regained control with a desperate effort of my telekinesis.

'Wow, talk about packing a punch. I wonder if I can even defeat him at this rate. Magic doesn't work on the guy too well and I need access to some 'beyond omega level' power to even hope to have a chance. Reality bending would have been the best choice for such a situation but sadly, I do not possess any such ability right now. So what else could I use to defeat him?' I wondered while rubbing my aching chest while my mind worked ten times faster than normal to find out the solution but unfortunately, I couldn't come up with any, at least not any that was permanent.

"Master, I think I have figured it out. I have figured out the reason why someone like the Galactus has suddenly appeared here out of the blue for no reason. His energy matrix getting intertwined with the cosmic storm is not only resulting in the storm mutating even further due to his unique energy but he is also beginning to perhaps develop a connection with the storm itself. So, his getting attracted towards the direction of Earth is solely because of the existence of the storm that is passing through near Earth. If you want to save the Earth, all you have to do is just make sure that he doesn't go in that direction till the storm passes away or has dispersed completely which is going to happen in approximately 6 hours and 3 minutes, give or take a few seconds." Zoya tried her best to help.

"You mean everything is happening because his 'Power Cosmic' is malfunctioning somehow? And, it's all a big coincidence? *Sigh* Talk about bad luck. I knew I should have brought Domino on this mission... Anyway, I still have to somehow keep him occupied for the next six hours, right? That is not going to be easy since none of my abilities except perhaps my strength is enough to keep him busy... But that does actually give me a brilliant idea.

'I have been practicing this for quite some time now. I didn't think I would ever have a chance to use it but I guess I got lucky today.'

"Susanoo," I called out loud as dark crimson-red energy began to envelop my entire body, forming a somewhat transparent red armor around me. It resembled the Susanoo of Madara with four arms and huge angelic wings but in my case, it seemed even more... dangerous with a brighter red shade. I was by default placed inside the head of the Susanoo where it was the thickest.

But this was still not enough to fight with someone like Galactus because even in my Susanoo form, Galactus was at least a few hundred times bigger than me. I was about half the size of the moon but the weirdly dressed space giant was almost one-third the size of the sun, dwarfing me by almost an impossible margin.

"Boost... Boost... Boost..." I began boosting my Susanoo, this time focusing on trying to boost its physical capabilities and size. I even added a majority of my remaining divine energy to increasing the size of the Susanoo to the max as well, all the while Galactus just observed me with curiosity like he had found a new type of toy or something.

By the time I had reached my limit and could no longer boost or increase my Susanoo's size, the height of my Susanoo had almost reached the size of half of the Earth which in reality still fell short of Galactus' massive frame. But it was enough for now.

"Let's see how strong I really am," I said with a shout as my Susanoo blasted towards Galactus with a speed that was almost invisible to the human eye and hit his knee with my full strength.

A metallic Ding sound was heard as it looked like my punch had affected Galactus' armor directly and there was now a small dent on it. However, I didn't stop there. I blitzed around Galactus, hitting him all over his armor, trying to find the weak spots in his defense.

I didn't have to work hard for that since Galactus despite being one of the strongest guys in the Universe wasn't the best hand-to-hand fighter. He also didn't try to raise any forcefields which further helped me in landing more than a few punches directly on his body. However, defeating someone like Galactus was going to take much more than that. Just after I began to feel like I was able to leave some bruises on him, he made another move.

"Your insolence ends here, worm." He thundered with divine wrath, unleashing his cosmic might in a blast of purple light. The beam tore through the fabric of reality, shattering anything in its path. But this time, I had anticipated his move as I raised my left hand and defiantly met his attack head-on.

The entire energy beam got absorbed into the center of my palm under the effect of Rinnegan's absorption power. I could feel the vast power that attack contained. If it had hit me, it would have at least broken a few of my bones. The energy wasn't exactly stored inside my body but in a dimension that was located inside me and I could feel it trying to get out.

"Thanks for that. You should have a taste of your own medicine now." I raised my right hand and returned his attack back with interest, adding my own strength to it. A violet beam of light with a red hue went out from my right palm and slammed into Galactus sending him flying back for miles.

He stared at me with disbelief, unable to comprehend his vulnerability. I seized the moment, not giving him a chance to recover. I had wounded him, and that gave me hope. He was mighty, but not invincible. There was a chance I could hold him off for six hours, and maybe, just maybe, achieve something more than just the quest rewards by the end of this battle.

This time I focused on his head, landing blow after blow on his features. I held him back with my telekinesis, limiting his options and movement. I also fired bursts of divine energy, keeping him off balance and unable to counter my assault.

As I continued to pummel his colossal form, relentless and swift. Galactus seethed with frustration, unable to catch me with his clumsy movements because of my lightning-fast speed and small size compared to his average speed and massive proportions.

"You dare not let Galactus feast? DIE for your insolence vermin."He roared with rage, this time in a complete sentence, unable to tolerate the annoyance that was me any longer. In his desperation, he unleashed a fiery explosion that rivaled a star's death, hoping to incinerate me with his inferno.
