Ch. 59 - The Great Pretender arrived at the Land of Caffeine!

"Here! I found some wood!" Releasing the bundle of sticks and small woods on his arms, Po wiped off the sweat on his forehead.

"...." Meanwhile, Leo just glared at Po, which made the latter confused as to the reason why.

"Uhm, why are you looking at me like that?" Po awkwardly asked him.

"....Nothing. My eyes just kind of got sore." Quickly finding an excuse, Leo even wiped his eyes just for the sake of authenticity.

"Anyways, gather those woods in a single spot right here." Leo deliberately changed the topic and pointed at the ground in front of him.

Although Po felt like Leo was lying to him, the panda still heeded his words and did as he said, grabbing each wood and compiled them against each other.

"What next?" Po asked after a pat of his hands.

"Nothing. Just sit tight or if you're free, you can help me cook." Leo offered.

Obviously, Po would choose the latter.

"I...think I'll sit this one out. I was exhausted from gathering the wood." As much as a great cook he is, Po still prefers to be lazy than cooking.

"Suit yourself then."

For the rest of the day, Leo and Po did nothing but eat, rest and sometimes do some slight warm-up exercises.

Until eventually it is time to resume their journey.

"Let's go." At Leo's signal, Po groaned while trying his 'best' to get up from the soft mattress inside the tent.

After bringing the tent back to his inventory, they finally began walking, following the river as usual. As for why his inventory instead of his Storage Ring. Well, since he received the tent from a Gacha roll, it belongs to the system, which means it can be stored in the inventory.

"Can't we have something to ride? My legs are starting to get sore." Just after walking for 10 minutes straight, Po quickly found a reason to complain.

Hearing Po, Leo suddenly remembered an uncommon item that he got from the Gacha roll last night.

[Uncommon - Matte Black Dodge Challenger]

Quickly taking it out, a fancy dodge Challenger vehicle appeared in front of them, not only surprising Po, but also confusing him.

"Woah. What's this?" Knowing it was Leo who brought it out, Po raised a question to him.

Leo, who has gotten comfortable in bringing out items from his inventory in front of Po, since the latter didn't pry to himself about it, Leo answered his question.

"Aren't you asking for a ride earlier? Here's the ride." Sauntering towards the driver's seat, Leo opened the door and was met with a comfy yet elegant seat and futuristic looking interior.

"Is this really a dodge challenger or was it modified?" Leo muttered under his breath, not remembering that the dodge challenger is supposed to look like something that came out of the future.

Nevertheless, Leo sat inside and hoped that nothing changed in its transmission or the way to drive it.

"Woah...." Doing the same as he observed in Leo, Po reached into the other side and opened the door.

"Thankfully, it's a full tank, I won't have to worry about where to get fuel." Ignoring Po who just got in, Leo was staring at the fuel gauge of the car.

"Alright. Let's start." Searching for the key, Leo didn't find a keyhole in the ignition, instead he found a button with the word 'Start'.

"Huh, that's new." Leo muttered while pressing on the button.

Hearing the soft yet loud hum of the engine, Leo smiled in satisfaction while Po beside him was further confused about the sound that came out of nowhere.

As someone who hasn't encountered something like a car, Po doesn't have any idea about the way it works.

Thankfully, he hasn't mistaken the car as a metal monster and proceeds to beat it to shreds.

'Home Sweet Home.' Leo closed his eyes, feeling the sense of euphoria flowing inside him. It's been a while since he's away from his world, and the dodge challenger is the only thing where he could feel like he's back on earth.

Beside him, Po was weirded out when he saw Leo closing his eyes, his eyebrows furrowing while biting his lips.

If Po didn't see his hands on the steering wheel, he might've thought Leo was pleasuring himself.

*Vroom!*

'Still got that satisfying sound.' Leo smirked, revving the engine of the Dodge Challenger.

*Vroom!*

*Vroom!*

"....Sounds awesome..." Po muttered, although he was wondering where the sound comes from, but he thinks it sounds cool.

"Let's go!" Stepping on the gas pedal, the Matte Black Dodge Challenger started running.

'Hopefully, we can arrive there before the night falls again.' Leo prayed inside his heart.

*Snoring*

Looking at Po who quickly fell asleep after a whole hour of enjoying the ride, the panda finally got exhausted.

Meanwhile, Leo just enjoyed riding his Dodge Challenger, a car he never owned in his past life. He only managed to drive it due to some unforeseen circumstances.

In the middle of driving, someone suddenly jumped from a tree branch, surprising Leo who was immersed in driving.

Quickly stepping on the brake, the fancy car thankfully managed to stop just a few inches from the figure who he finally recognized as a boar.

"Stop right there you monster!" Holding a spear, Leo heard the boar shout at him, or more specifically towards his Dodge Challenger.

Realizing the misunderstanding, Leo quickly went out of the car before the boar scratches his Dodge Challenger with his spear.

"Hah!" Obviously, the boar doesn't know what it means when the door of the car opens, in his mind, the boar thought that the metallic monster in front of him would attack him.

So without hesitation, the boar thrusts his spear towards the hood of the car, no doubt the pointy metal of the spear would not only put a scratch on the car but even worse, it would blow a hole.

Leo, who just got out of the car saw this and his entire blood flow went cold.

Without even thinking, Leo rushed and directly kicked the shaft of the spear, not just diverting its direction but also snapping the spear in half.

*Crack!*

*Bam!

At the same time, Leo's leg didn't stop there as he also unconsciously kicked the boar on his chest.

"Guaagghh!" Thrown away, the boar collided in a nearby tree, putting a halt to his momentum.

Meanwhile, Leo can be seen hugging the hood of his car, kissing it several times in succession.

Waking up from the commotion, Po woke up and saw an injured Boar with his back lying on the tree while Leo was kissing his car.

"What just happened while I was sleeping?" Po muttered, as soon as he wanted to get out, he realized that he doesn't know how. Thankfully, the driver's seat door was open thanks to Leo who forgot to close it out of panic earlier.

After caressing his car, Leo turned his attention to the boar.

"A-are you a Kung Fu Master? M-My apologies, I thought you were the creature that has been haunting our village." Seeing and even feeling Leo's prowess, the boar came to a realization that the man in front of him is a Kung Fu Master.

How ironic, a few days earlier they just submitted a notice to require assistance from a Kung Fu Master and now, he just offended one when they needed them the most.

"Are you okay? Look, I'm sorry for that kick just now but my ca- I mean my carriage can't have any scratches, okay?" Knowing that the boar won't know the term 'Car' he decided to change it and replace them with 'Carriage'.

"T-That's a carriage?!" The boar's eyes widened in surprise, not expecting that the 'creature' in which he thought was a metallic monster turns out to be a carriage.

Is this what the carriage outside of their village looks like? Have they been staggering when it comes to development?

Extending his hand forward, Leo helped the boar to stand in his two feet, using his long sleeves to wipe the blood from the boar's mouth.

"Can you walk? I can bring you back to where you came from using my carriage since I'm headed to a village called Land of Caffeine." After hearing his words, the boar's face beamed up in surprise and he quickly replied.

"What a coincidence! I'm actually from there! Hold on, are you the Kung Fu Master that we asked for at the Jade Palace?" Facing this question, Leo was in no hurry to answer.

"Yes, and seeing that you attacked my carriage earlier, I assume that you guys are still suffering from this 'monster'?"

"Yes! Yes! Oh thank the heavens you're finally here! Our sufferings will finally come to an end!" The boar looked up in the sky as a small tear escaped from his eyes.

"Not yet. We'll talk about it after we arrive at your village. By the way, what's your name?" Leo chuckled at the boar's reaction. Looks like they have truly been suffering if one of them acts like this.

"My name is Lao! And since we're getting to know each other, how about you? What's your name?"

"My name is Leo. Just Leo." Answered Leo, embracing the fact that he'll never be able to introduce his last name forever, unless he changes it, which is harder than you think.

"Leo huh? Your name is similar to one of the Dragon Warriors that defeated Tai Lung."

"Actually...I'm that Leo you're referring to. And I'm not alone." At the same time, Po showed himself from his behind.

"Eh?"
