Luna isn't just a simple girl. Others might perceive her as such but this book smart person is hiding something deep in her mind. She promised to hide it forever and lived as a normal person would but some force didn't want to waste such talent. One unlucky day, she found herself in a mysterious place untouched by the modern stuff she's familiar with. The people wear weird clothes, the houses looked old-style, and everything is so simple. It might look simple on the surface but that world had always been full of mysteries hidden deep within and waiting to be found. The place is just like her. She did her best to keep her secrets but the longer she lived there, the harder it is to hide her secrets in the dark. "There's no helping it, let's just embrace the truth," she uttered. "Keep it easy, young lady," a man in his deep, cold voice appeared behind. "Alright" "B-but get away from me" ------ Daily updates
Luna walked upstairs while holding the notepad in her right hand. She skimmed through it and aside from the books she needs to read, the duration for each practice was harsher than usual.
When she opened her room's door, Luna picked up the books she borrowed. She didn't plan to return it but she still needed it for her research. She left the room quickly after that and looked for Miss Zione to enter the library with permission.
When Miss Zione passed by, she stopped and walked towards Luna. She knew what exactly Luna needed her for when she saw her carrying books.
"Allow me to lead you to the library," Miss Zione said.
'I didn't even have to ask the question,' Luna thought.
Luna followed her to the third floor and watched Miss Zione cast a spell to disable the barrier then opened the door with a silver key.
"I have a list of the books that I need to borrow. Here," Luna said.
Miss Zione took the notepad and flipped each page for about two seconds.
"Take a seat here while I find all the books," Miss Zione said.
Luna didn't offer help since those books might be in places she isn't allowed to. She placed the books in her hands on a small table and sat in the chair.
While reading a book, she heard Miss Zione's footsteps and saw her carrying more than ten books with ease. She placed it on the floor to avoid limiting the reading space of Luna in that small table.
After that, she bid goodbye and left the library.
Luna closed her book and reached for the new books that Miss Zione handed to her.
Some of them were guides to controlling magic, maintaining a perfect mental state, alchemy for beginners, and others related to the magic that would help her in the future.
Its contents are more detailed, which answered her previous thought. These books were located in the restricted parts of the library. Her sight twinkled with the books in front of her that would seem to quench her thirst for knowledge.
Within the day, Luna had understood all of those books. It was pretty hard compared to just reading a book since she had to have a thorough understanding of the terms and remember it. If not, Akiro would increase her magic practice.
Although she laughed a little with a devilish smile.
'Hahaha, it's great that my hobby is reading and I have a good memory,' Luna thought.
If Luna spent her life idling during free time, she wouldn't know how to deal with Akiro's strict training.
She arranged the books neatly on the table but left one book to bring. It's the book she borrowed previously so it was allowed to be taken outside.
That book was the one with an author who always liked to criticize his readers straightforwardly.
She planned to stay in her bedroom but she heard a noise downstairs. It is Ryle with his tone of a friendly voice.
'Who's the unlucky person to be pestered by him?' Luna thought.
When Luna looked downstairs, it was the silver-haired kids. Upon seeing them, she walked to the lobby and greeted the kids.
"Good afternoon to you Sir Erik and Lady Irene. Let's wait for Miss Zione and she'll lead you to your rooms and what you'll do for today," Luna said.
They seemed to relax after seeing a familiar face.
"Good afternoon to you too, Lady Luna," Erik and Irene greeted.
"And this is Ryle which I think you know already. He's a good person," Luna said.
"Of course I am!" Ryle followed.
Then, Miss Zione arrived after a servant informed her of their arrival.
"Greetings Sir Erik and Lady Irene, the servants will bring your luggage to your assigned rooms. Do you want to rest or stay with them for a while? Master said that he'll only be able to meet you tomorrow," Miss Zione said.
'She said too many words today!' Luna thought.
Although Miss Zione said it with a cold face. They were slightly startled by her personality.
"We'll stay with Lady Luna for a while," Erik said.
When Miss Zione heard it, she bowed a little and left with the servants carrying their luggage.
"Uhm, Lady Luna can you tell me about Sir Akiro?" Erik said.
They all sat on the couch including Ryle who wanted to join in on their conversation.
'How do I answer it?' Luna thought.
She wasn't even living here for a long time to know who Akiro is. He's a time-traveler but they knew that already after they saw his skill earlier. He certainly has other skills but it couldn't be disclosed to everyone.
"H-he's a person who... have a high position in this country and has a lot of work to do," Luna said.
Ryle knew that Luna was being cautious of releasing information about Akiro although he thought that a little info about him would be good.
"He's an Honorary Master Mage. I'm sure you have heard of him," Ryle said.
Irene didn't know it since she wasn't a noble child but Erik knew it. His eyes widened and his hands slightly trembled.
"Th-e H-onorary Master Mage!" Erik uttered.
He was sure that there's only one person that the Magic Emperor bestowed an Honorary title to. Although it was much lower than an actual Master Mage, there's a rumor spreading that his powers were even greater than the Master Mages and was feared by everyone.
Not many people could recognize his face because he didn't frequently attend social gatherings. For a low-class noble like Erik, it was even impossible to meet him personally.
After he saw the huge mansion, he knew his benefactor was a higher noble than him but he didn't expect it to be the Honorary Master Mage himself.
His admiration of him grew larger than it was before. Luna could see it from her own eyes and shook his head helplessly.
'That man will be more arrogant than he is if he saw Erik.' Luna playfully thought.
"So keep quiet about others regarding his position," Luna followed.
She was scared that the news will spread.
"I will not!" Erik said.
'Although he looked reserved, his energy is still that of a child's,' Luna thought.
"How about Irene, how are you?" Luna said.
The girl smiled shyly. "I'm fine and I'm thankful for helping us with our problem," she said.
"I think it isn't solved yet. I promise that you'll be comfortable here," Luna said.
She pertained to the events Erik saw in his dreams which Akiro took an interest in.
"And the two of you will never be bored here with me!" Ryle said.
They continued to chat until night and the two kids were finally comfortable with Luna and Ryle's presence.
"We'll meet with Akiro tomorrow, good night," Luna said.
All of them already ate dinner although they didn't see Akiro because Miss Zione said that he ate in his study room to finish his paper works.
Luna went to her bedroom and practiced controlling magic by releasing magic through her hands. It was the method she read last week and she was doing good bit by bit.
She practiced for an hour and went to bed after she felt tired.
