She Is Fear Incarnate

Lu Feiji efficiently and quietly slipped on her midnight black clothes, then she stepped towards the window without even her clothes making rustling sounds. Her feet barely touched the ground as she jumped out the window to her room.

She landed silently and swiftly weaved in and out of the shadows. After about a half hour, another figure started to sneak up on Lu Feiji. He/She was trying to surprise attack Lu Feiji, so that they could see what she was up to.

Lu Feiji knew that a shadow figure was trying to sneak up on her, so when the figure was about to knock her unconscious Lu Feiji swung around and kneed him/her in the stomache. A small 'oof' sounded and the figure was downed on the floor clutching their stomach.

Lu Feiji tore of their mask and saw a young woman's agonized face. The young woman's face was a mixture of shock and pain from her stomach.

"30 seconds.", Lu Feiji said through her own mask to the young woman.

"What?", the young woman asked.

"30 seconds to explain or you die here with an unmarked grave.", Lu Feiji's gaze held nothing but death as she stared at the figure on the ground,"Start with your name. Now."

"M-my name is Fu L-li, I-i-i work for my master... ", Fu Li said mumbling and stuttering.

"You are the shadow I saw when I arrived... hmm?", Lu Feiji said, not really asking a question.

"N-no", Fu Li said, but when she looked at Lu Feiji's face she quickly changed her answer,"Y-yes, I was".

"Did you tell your master? And is that why you were stalking me? To see if I was her?", Lu Feiji said, her brain thinking quickly. If she could find out who the girl's master was, then she could threaten him or her or she could try and frame someone else.

"I d-d-did...not tell my master...", Fu Li was half way through her sentence when she realized that she couldn't reveal the fifth prince's plans or else she would be betraying him.

"Mhm? Is that right?... OK! Unmarked grave it is! Just tell me your master's name so I can send him your head! How's that?", Lu Feiji said all this lightly and cheerily, she then unsheathed her blade and pretended to swing down on Fu Li.

"H-he is my master!!! I cannot tell you! He only wanted to know if you were a threat!!!", Fu Li cried out, her legs shaking uncontrolably.

Ah! So it is a 'he', and he doesn't wish me harm only curious. That worked surprisingly well actually.

Lu Feiji dropped Fu Li and sheathed her sword, "Tell him, that I send my deepest regards... and that you are a terrible spy. You are new right?"

Fu Li was panting hard and shaking so she didn't respond. Lu Feiji had guessed she was new because of her obvious lack of knowledge on how to react in these situations. Lu Feiji quickly dashed on silent feet out of the courtyard.
