HUE IS HAPPY

CHAPTER-9

"Andrew…Andrew…Where are you?"

"What is it?"

"When are we leaving for Montezuma? Did you talk to your office?... she came to the living room and saw the young man in a formal attire…. "Where are you going on a Sunday morning?"

" Helen i told you yesterday.. the CEO of Novus only has time today, that too just this breakfast time... I have to go and meet him with Director.."

" Alright but when are we leaving?" she was desperate now.

" Haaa! I have told you it's an important deal.. I have to stay back this time.. We will go next month.. Also be ready by lunch time." he informed.

"What can't you just take a break… you work too much.. You were not like this last year..let's goo pleaseee"

" HELEN!" he was annoyed at this point. " i said this is a important time for the company.." he shouted while thinking can't she see it's an important time for him.

Helen got scared and saw Andrew was getting angry now, so she changed her tone.

" Fine.. Fine i get it… so where are we going.. Are you taking me to a lunch date?" she smiled and asked.

But this just pissed Andrew even more.. " Did you really forgot… we have to go to my parents place, they have been asking me to come visit them… Honestly Helen do you even listen when i say things."

"Mmm But they hate me Andrew… they think i took you from Yumi… they compare me to her… i don't like it. I don't want to meet them.. I don't know what magic that girl did to your parents that they also just support her." she said pouting her way in.

"They are my parents Helen. If you want to be with me you will have to work hard to get accepted by them"

"But.. they always talk about Yumi and you… and they always tell me how she did things and did better."

"Still you have to try. Also Yumi is someone who worked very hard in her life may it be school, work or...….Our relationship." he said while staring blankly at her. This made her angry, Helen knew Andrew still had feelings for Yumi.

"Are you taking your ex's side now? Is this what it is? Am i not important?" she said being angry.

Andrew had enough of her tantrums and said "I'm not taking sides, i'm just stating facts, I was with her for 6 years i know her better than anyone else and i know how hard working she is. I'm with you now but if you still bring Yumi up in our relationship then i don't know how to reply to you Helen." he said and left his home.

While driving to the meeting place Andrew was lost in thoughts. He remembered how many sacrifices both Yumi and he made in their relationship to be where they are in their career. He remembered how understanding Yumi was when they had to cancel their trip for her birthday because of work. And how a simple cake and a meal that he cooked made her more happy that year and how she would shower him with love just because he surprised her with an ice-cream. He smiled while thinking about her and he felt sad because he missed that feeling.

~Meeting place~

"Andrew all files are ready right? We can't make any mistakes today." the Director said to him

"Yes sir. All the things are ready"

Just then they see 3 men walking towards them. They can guess who was the CEO. Hue was in his Casual attire a Check white shirt with light blue rims on the sleeves with deep navy blue jeans and brown leather shoes.

The immediately get up from their seats to welcome their guest.

"Mr. Connan, Good morning, I'm the Managing Director from C.B. corporation, Levi Adams" he says and brings out his hands to shake. Hue gives a nod and sits down meanwhile Felix shakes hands with him " Hello, Mr. Adams I'm Felix Grey, P.A to Mr. Connan and representative for House of Novus. Shall we start?" Mr. Adam nods.

They all sit down and start the meeting

"Our general director Mr. Wren Gillbard, will be helping you. So from now on you can contact him." Felix informs and pointed to the third gentleman with them.

"Thank you for this opportunity Mr. Connan. We will not disappoint you." he tries to assures the CEO.

"I hope that too Mr. Adams, that C.B. corporation will not make any mistakes."

Just then Hue's phone rings and he excuses himself out.

"Hello. I'm sorry the meeting took a while. I will leave now can you give… looking at his wrist watch….Like 40 mins?" he asked.

"Well Mr. Connan, i don't think i can give you so much time. Come outside."

"Wait! Outside as in here. You are here?" Hue couldn't control his smile and the men next to him were surprised to see The CEO like that.

Yumi giggled " come outside fast. I'm waiting" she said.

Hue said farewell to his meeting partners and turned to Felix as all the other people left. "She is outside. She came here to pick me up" he smiled and informed " Well then you shouldn't keep a lady waiting" replied Felix and fixed Hue's collar and gave a thumbs up.

"I will see you tonight at home and tell Chris to bring Eiji." he said and waved bye to Felix.

"Haa! He is definitely head over heels for her" Felix said to himself and smiled as he saw his best friend hurrying and stumbling over nothing to reach the lift.

*ding* the lift door opens

Hue fixes himself again and comes out. As he opens the door he see Mr. Adams and his associate talking to each other. He gives them a nod and goes to Yumi

"Hiii." he gives out his beautiful boxy smile as he waves as her. " I thought i was the one who asked you out for a date but looks like I'm being taken out on a date."

"Well i like to be self sufficient and i like to be on the same level as my date." she smiles back at him.

"Well I'm impressed. With this i can see you being genuinely interested in me" then he notices Yumi's outfit White top navy blue skinny jeans and brown stiletto heels. She looked stunning in those casuals.

"Are we doing couple outfit already ?" he was excited that they match each other. Just the Yumi notices it too "we just might" she teases him.

"shall we go?"

"Can i drive?" Hue looks at her car and asks.

Yumi looks at him for a second and then goes "You can… Here" she tosses her car keys to him and gets in the passenger seat.

"I will be careful." he assures Yumi and get inside the car.

A stunned Andrew watches the car drives off and thought to himself " That was Yumi… that i just saw?"
