I Want You By My Side!

James was surprised to hear Miare saying him to call her by her name without any formality and he slowly took her name "Mi...Rae!" James took her name with a stammer and closed the door.

He walked to the other side and sat inside after opening the door. While he fastened his seatbelt, he looked at Mirae who was now in a very calm mood and was checking her phone.

He took a deep breath. 'Thankfully, she is not crying anymore.' He gave a smile and approached closer to her to fasten her seat belt. He noticed her flinch and waver her eyes here and there.

"You can look at me." James teased Mirae.

When Mirae didn't notice, he moved even closer to her and flashed his face in front of him and did a cute pose "Am I handsome, Mirae?"

Soon enough, Mirae felt her cheeks turning beet red and she pushed James back to his seat. James let out another chuckle and started the engine.

Some fifteen or twenty minutes later, James parked his car in front of a tall apartment and stepped out of the car. He opened the door for Mirae and she also stepped out of the car.

"Here we are!" He exclaimed and walked back to his car. While he was opening his door and taking out his phone from inside, he heard Mirae speak "I'm afraid to lose you, James Park!"

"Huh? Did you say something?" Although he did hear what she said, James pretended that he didn't hear anything. He couldn't control the wonderful feeling which was sprouting inside his stomach. Oh God! He wanted to hear that sentence, again.

"Noth...Nothing, Mr. James!" Mirae shook her head and answered.

With this, James was confirmed that Mirae was crying while thinking about something about their relationship... James had also watched that movie many a times and he was also disappointed by the ending and his intuition was saying that Mirae was crying after thinking something related to that movie...

But he wasn't confirmed so, he wanted to know. And he knew that she wouldn't even say it. So, it was better for him to ask later on but who knew that she would say something and his doubts will be cleared?

A naughty thought came in James's mind and he walked towards Mirae. "I'm feeling a little thirsty, can I come over to your house and have something to drink?" Actually, the naughty thought which had come in James's mind was that he wanted to sleep with her on her bed but he knew he was going really far thinking that all so, he thought of just staying for a little while and leave after that.

And just like that, he was inside Mirae's house. Mirae's house wasn't at all big compared to his own. There was just one room, a kitchen and a bathroom. But this house felt really comfortable for James. He instantly liked the warm feeling which the house was emanating.

He saw Mirae walk into the kitchen and he began to look here and there. There was a balcony attached to the living room and that felt quite beautiful.

James walked towards the door of the balcony and slid it. He stepped into the balcony and the fresh air made him feel really cool. Mirae's floor was on the seventh floor and the feeling of this view was indeed captivating.

James had always lived in the single-story house and he didn't know that the view from up high at the balcony would be this good. It indeed was beautiful and he felt amazing watching the lights slowly being turned on in the city.

He heard footsteps behind him and he said "The view is beautiful!"

Mirae stood next to him and gave him the hot chocolate mug. "That's the reason why I took this house." Mirae smiled and she also looked outside.

"Cheers?" Mirae brought her mug closer to him asking for a clink.

James took a look at her and noticed that she had changed her clothes. She had worn a crème-colored top and a beige midi-skirt. "Cheers!" James clinked his mug with hers and took a sip from the hot chocolate.

"I would like to stay here for the night."

Just as Mirae had taken her sip, she choked it all out on the balcony's railing and on the floor after hearing what James said. She coughed a few times and James patted her back.

"Are you okay?" James had anticipated this sort of reaction from her so, he again said nonchalantly.

"I really like the view here so; I would like to stay for the night. Besides, I'm very tired after my trip from The States and you know..."

"But..." And James interjected Mirae.

"Please, I'm very tired, Mirae. And I don't think I can drive anymore." He made a pouty face and looked at her with green puppy eyes.

How was Mirae even going to decline to that adorable look?!

She blushed and gave a nod. "Uhh... okay. I will clean the room for you." And she walked inside her room and began to change the sheets. When she was all done with cleaning the room, she came out in the living room only to see James sleeping on the sofa.

Guess, he hadn't lied because she even heard the sound of snores coming from him. She walked towards him and looked at his sleeping face.

This was the first time Mirae had seen James sleeping. He looked cute despite the fact that he was drooling. 'How much tired was he that he slept in just some ten minutes?'

Mirae chuckled and lightly hit the tip of his nose with her index finger. "I don't know if you heard what I said at the parking area but that is what I truly meant, Mr. James. I don't know but I don't want to lose you. And the only reason why I cried at the theatre was because I was afraid that I would lose you, Mr. James.

I'm so silly... I should say all this to you when you are wide awake but I'm doing so when you are asleep. Guess you sleeping right in front of my eyes brings me peace and happiness and I love this feeling, Mr. James. Thank you for staying the night here."

Mirae moved closer to his face and sweetly kissed his cheek "Good night, Mr. James Park!"

Right now, Mirae felt like a princess whose all wishes were granted. There was one wish pending but she was happy that James was staying at her house and that she was able to sneakily kiss him and wish him good night.

Mirae felt really happy. She covered him with a blanket and closed the door of the balcony. And for a while, until it had become completely dark and silent in the city, she sat beside him, watching him sleep but she didn't know when she fall asleep watching him.
