I Miss You

5 years later Salem Blackwood was now an upstart ballerina gaining fame for dancing with the Nocturne ballet troupe in Austria.

Only a few close friends and family knew of her whereabouts, including her best friend of 10 years Freya Rhymes. after dance practice salem was thrilled to find a text from her beloved friend. it was a reminder to check her mail today...

why does she want me to do that?

Freya had always been an odd one so Salem simply laughed and replied a short "ok". when she arrived outside her apartment building after picking up eggs for her omurice salem suddenly remembered her friends text as she passed by the mail boxes.

Rifling through her pocket she pulled out the key with her free hand then unlocked the box to find an envelope sent from Freya.

it was a rather beautiful green one outlined in gold ivy. admiring it as she carefully opened it salem slid out the card inside. staring blankly at the rose petals that fell out salem almost dropped her eggs when she saw what was inside. it was a invitation to Freyas wedding!

Only a month away!

Rushing to her apartment salem squealed in excitement.

3 weeks later....in the airport a little nauseous from the plane ride back to janine, salem once again swore she would never fly again.

Dressed for comfort, she wore a simple pink sundress and tan sandals. searching through the sea of people salem looked for her best friends brother in law Michael. he was the younger brother of jason who she always got along with well. after a few minutes she saw the good looking playboy carrying a large white sign. in bright red bold letters it read out

"Welcome back Wifey Blackwood."

almost immediately her loud laugh captured his attention giving her a toothy grin and an enthusiastic wave in return. just like the old cheesy love movies they began running towards each other in slowmo with arms open wide. too caught up in their silly antics salem didn't notice the giggling onlookers or the man who glared at them from afar. when the 2 finally met the hug they shared was warm and lasting more than a minute.

when he finally pulled away Michael looked her in the eyes and sighed happily " I missed you".
