Chapter 1: "A betrayal...? "

It was a lovely evening...the college was ending...Mia was confusedly standing in front of Ashish who's kneeling in front of her.

She looked confused and a bit nervous it was the first time for her...and it is her good friend.

"There were times I just wanted to say...but I was waiting for you to complete the college... now that it's your graduation...can I have a place in your heart...?", Ashish spoke.

Mia was stuck...she didn't know, she really didn't. It was not her first time someone confessing...but Ashish was her good friend so she was shocked.

"Can I have some time...?", She asked in a confused tone.

"Yes, take your time.", He smiled and stood up.

They parted their ways as Mia walked towards Aksha whose standing there carrying her's and Sam's graduation certificates.

"There you are...where did you walk away after your speech...? The director of our department and lectures are searching for you...!", Aksha linked her hands with Sam's arms.

"Why are they searching for me...?", Mia asked in confusion.

"Dear topper what would they need you for...? Of course to say that THE GREAT Mia is from our college and their student.", She proudly said.

Meanwhile...

"You run first and contact Rishi...I will be okay.", Eric spoke to Jay who's bleeding as he seemed weak.

"But...Boss, you are bleeding...you got shot for me...please don't ask me to go away...they are not far away and you got injured I can't leave you alone.", Jay spoke as he was shivering...it was an empty road...

"Do you think your Boss is that weak...? Go now, I can handle them.", Eric spoke in his deepened tone.

Jay couldn't disobey his boss as he ran towards the other side. Just then...Two men ran towards them...but Eric took his gun that's in the hidden pocket as he positioned himself and clicked the trigger twice...as the two bullets hit their heads and they instantly fell onto the ground...Eric's hand lost hold of the gun as his body lifelessly fell onto the ground.

That Night...

"Okay let me process...you mean that annoying Ashish proposed to you...?", Aksha shouted at the peak of her lungs...

"I get that you are shocked...but dumbo why are you shouting...?", Mia said as she passed one of the noodles bowls to Aksha.

"Don't tell me you are going to accept him...I'll kick your ass before I go to the U.S.", She said as she started slurping her noodles.

"We'll see...I'm not sure too, it was sudden...okay leave that, when is your flight...?", Mia asked.

"Tomorrow in the afternoon...forgot to ask...did she...come back...?", Aksha asked as her face was covered with sweat...

"Why are you so afraid of her...? haha...she should be coming soon.", Mia said as she readily ate her Noodles.

"Who wouldn't get afraid of...leave it, you are an exception.", Aksha sighed as she finished her bowl of Noodles.

"I'll leave now...before she comes.", She said as she walked out faster.

Mia giggled seeing her best friend's clumsy behavior.

"I really don't understand why you are afraid of her.", She smiled and waved goodbye.

Next day Afternoon...

"Take care, Greet Uncle and Aunty for me...careful...and maintain...",

"My dear mom...stop lecturing...I'll take care of myself.", Aksha hugged Mia and walked into the airport internal checking area.

Mia sighed and walked out of Airport, hailing a cab she went back to college...it was the last time she's gonna go there...from now on...she has to struggle in the real society... realizing that she stared at the campus in front of her.

She smiled as she took her steps further. When she was about to enter her class...she heard some sounds...she was reluctantly stopped by her own legs...she didn't know why...just then...she heard a guy's voice...

"Dude...seriously...she is THE GREAT Mia do you think she'll fall for you...? Many seniors who are successful couldn't get her...you are going to lose the bet.", One of the men spoke.

"Wait and see...soon the So-called College beauty is gonna become my girlfriend and I'm gonna win the bet...for sure.", Ashish declared.

The gang of men started to smile...Mia's hold on the door struggled to withhold...What should she call this...?

A betrayal...? She wondered if he is the friend she knew, her eyebrows frowned as she felt disgusted...she calmed herself as she kicked the door open...Few men in the room startled to see Mia who looked absolutely calm.
