Worsen

Third pov:

"Who was that," ZiNuo asked. YuHan turned his head to face ZiNuo.

"The beast's master and the creator of this domain. Something about that sword is a bit off," YuHan said as he took the sword from ZiNuo's hand.

"Master!" The beast shouted. "Where did he go?"

"He left and he said something along the lines that the sword should be well protected," ZiNuo responded. YuHan observed the sword and tried to take the blade out of the case, but the sword would not budge.

"Seems like the sword does not like my energy or it does not like me," YuHan said as he handed the sword back to ZiNuo. ZiNuo tried to take the sword out, but it didn't bother to move either.

"Do you two know that the sword only recognizes its current owner and it happens to not be either one of you," the beast commented. The beast tried getting out of the cage, but he tipped over and rolled pushing YuHan a bit. YuHan's hand touched ZiNuo's hands and the sword slowly slipped out of the case. YuHan came to realization and took his hand away from ZiNuo's hand. The sword quickly shut itself back up into the case.

"Yin and yang?" ZiNuo said as he stared at YuHan, who was also as confused as him.

"I feel like we shouldn't touch the sword and keep it in its case for the time being before we go to the Ping Sect," YuHan said as he got himself up from the ground. The aching pain from his wound was getting worse and his urge to cough has also increased. "We should get going now," YuHan said as walked towards the entrance. While walking his legs were starting to feel weak. He collapsed onto the ground and ZiNuo ran towards him to check on him.

"Yuhan…" ZiNuo spoke softly.

"I'm fine…" he said as he tried to get up, but failed.

"Stop, this would only hurt you. I'll carry you," ZiNuo said as he kneeled and got YuHan on his back. He got up, walking back to the chest, grabbed the cage with the beast, and the two swords.

"I'm sorry if I'm a burden to you," YuHan said as he closed his eyes.

"You won't be and never will be."

It was a long walk out of the forest, ZiNuo managed to get out of the forest and the Yin Sect's terrority. He placed YuHan, resting his back on a tree, ZiNuo checked if YuHan was breathing normally, after finding out he was fine, he rested for a bit before he kept carrying YuHan.

The trip lasted to dawn, where he reached the portal. He looked around and stared back at the portal. Two men walked out of the portal and looked right in ZiNuo's way.

"What are you doing out here," one of them shouted at him.

"My friend needs a doctor and we need to get out of here," ZiNuo responded. The two guards stared at him, looking him up and down.

"Why are you holding a creature in a cage?" one of them questioned him.

"It's just my blood contract animal."

"Explain those two swords?"

"One of them is mine and the other one is my friend's."

One of the men drew out a book, "Your names please."

'I'm going to get caught if I say my name,' ZiNuo thought. He tried recalling the names that people put on the paper when he signed the Yin Sect contract. 'Chen Lizi,' he thought. "Chen Lizi and Mo Chenyue," ZiNuo said as he looked at the person flipping the book to find their names.

"You do know, once you exit through the portal, you'll no longer be able to participate in this event?"

"I know and what's more important, the event or someone's life?" ZiNuo said as he walked towards the portal and through it. He made it back to the capital, running quickly through the crowd. He tapped on a young miss's shoulder and she turned around to look at him. "Miss, do you know the nearest medical clinic?"

"It's the next street near the end of the walls of the capital," she responded.

"Thank you," he smiled before rushing off. When he arrived at the medical clinic, he was breathless, he quickly made his way into the building and to the front desk. "I need a doctor right now." The male at the front desk guides ZiNuo to the back of the medical clinic, a doctor was sitting there checking a patient's pulse.

Sir, there's a more concerning patient here, please explain to the doctor what happened," the male spoke before he took the other patient out of the room.

"Sir, I have no idea why he's like this. He never told me anything, I did notice he has a more pale complexion these past few days," ZiNuo said as he placed YuHan on a bed.

"Don't be so panicked Gongzi, sit down as I check how this young man is doing," the doctor said as he checked YuHan's pulse. The doctor's eyes widened and looked at ZiNuo, "Do you know how long this young man has had poison in his body?" the doctor asked.

"Poison?" ZiNuo said as he was confused and in shock. The doctor began checking for the wound and he uncovered it while lifting YuHan's clothes.

"Teng sect's poison-" the doctor was speechless.

"How?" ZiNuo asked.

"The poison has already spread throughout his body. It's going to spread by tomorrow. I'm afraid I can't help this young man," the doctor sighed.

"Is there a cure for this poison?" ZiNuo asked the doctor who was stroking his beard.

"I wouldn't say it's a cure, but it does help him in the long term, but side effects of coughing would still exist."

"A cure that isn't even a cure? A poison that is man-made doesn't have a cure? You're joking right?"

"This is no joking matter. The medicine may be called a cure, but it does not fit the definition of one."

"How do I get this cure?" ZiNuo asked.

"Only the Teng Sect can offer you that answer, young man."
