Vol 2 ch 22

Loki continued this demoralizing the soldiers, none of them were able to understand what was truly happening. This had continued until he had dealt with everyone.

And now Loki stepped forward. He was in full view, it was time to deal with the twins. He had heard them approaching him. A pair of footsteps moving towards him. And so the battle began once more,

Scarlet witch and QuickSilver had both heard the sounds of fighting and screaming. They had been scared. They were under no disillusion of who they were working for. However, everything served a purpose. Even now both of them could remember the Stark bomb in front of them. For two days, they had been stuck there. Fearful that at any moment, the bomb could go off. They had huddled together, crying.

That was until they had been given an opportunity for revenge. A way to gain the power to avenge their country.

A group had approached them with offers of power to change the world. And so they had agreed. They were taken to a lab and told to interact with a staff with a glowing gem atop it. It called to them. And so they did. They were the only ones to survive out of 50 other test subjects. It had changed them on a fundamental level.

And so their new benefactors had taken them to a facility where they would continue training them. The resulting training had left both of them unsure of themselves. They both were wondering if they were doing the right thing anymore. The tests that they had to do particularly the tests that Wanda had to do gave them a new perspective on their would be saviors. As she saw the effect of torturing the people infront of her.

As time passed, this place had started to feel more like a place to confine them. Worse was when they had heard the rumors of the third test subject. Maybe, the first alarm bell should have been when they were constantly referred to as test subjects and given code names.

This place had guards which doubled for everything else. Guards who worked in maintenance as well as cooking as well. Something necessary to hide their location. They had been told to wait in their rooms as an important meeting was going on.

Both of them had been in their rooms when they had heard gunshots. It was only for an instant and they had heard nothing more. And so they had stepped out to investigate. They had found no guards near their rooms. As it was not needed due to the nature of them being here voluntarily.

There were two pathways in front of them, one leading deeper into the facility with a single blast door where the third test subject was. The other pathway led towards the main chamber where tests usually took place, atleast for them. The same place which was the source of the gunfire before.

They both had reached the chambers and found a masked man in front of them. Plenty of bodies fallen at his feet.

Loki had seen both of the individuals looking at him and taking stock of the situation. An alarmed expression on their face.

"It does not have to come to a fight." Loki had told them.

"These were not good men and they were just using you." Loki had continued. "You were working with Hydra, an organization responsible for much suffering during world war 2."

"Then, let us leave." Quicksilver had stepped forward. The scarlet witch hands had started to grow red. Both of them moving forward in a threatening manner. Quicksilver got into a running position.

"I had hoped it would not come to this." Loki's eyes turned into the mangekyou sharingan.

Quicksilver charged to Loki. Time began slow for him as he launched a punch against Loki. The punch carrying his momentum forward with it. He punched once and it went through Loki. In confusion he had launched a series of punches all of them went through him. In confusion, he had retreated. But he had been horrified by a realization as Loki's eyes were following his movements as he retreated. All these events took place in the fraction of a second.

Wanda launched a crate at Loki as she felt Quicksilver at her side. That crate passed through him as well.

"This is pointless." Loki had said as he used Ice Release Frost Breath. Loki had breathed in expanding his chest.

Quicksilver had rushed again seeing some type of attack coming. He had charged once more. Loki had already breathed out in that small moment of hesitation. The floor had turned into ice. It was slippery and Quicksilver was not able to maintain his motion. He had slipped and fallen down. He was unable to display the same amount of dexterity and speed as he could not find any grounding.

He had felt a slap on his chest. On his chest, he had found the presence of a few kanji characters present in circles. From this moment forth he was unable to move. His limbs felt as if they were led.

During the last strike Loki had applied a stasis seal on him. A seal that prevents any movement. Useful for use against animals. Can be easily undone by a burst of chakra, mystical energy or life force he supposed. Those things were unknown to him for the moment.

Scarlet Witch had lost herself to anger, seeing the unmoving body of her brother. She had raised her arms and the tiles were ripped off, a red light surrounding them. She hurled them all at Loki. The only reaction that he showed was a smile as he moved forward and began to dodge them. Using some of them as stepping tools to boost him and close the distance between himself and Wanda.

Soon, he was in her face and had slapped a seal onto her. A stasis seal would not work on her, but there was an improved seal that he had made combined with Asgardian ruins which for a moment cut her off from chaos magic. He had then proceeded to bind her arms behind her back.

"What did you do to my brother." She had snarled at him.

"He is fine, just under the effect of a stasis seal. He cannot move now." Loki explained to her as he secured her.

As he was binding her. Amanda had come down as well. A thoughtful expression on her face.

She had called out. "Tobi, please go for the third child." She had turned towards both of the twins. "Leave the twins to me, there is something that they need to be made aware of. It seems that they too have been deceived."

Loki had looked closely at both of the twins. "Amanda, after this they will be leaving with me."

Amanda had nodded at that. "Just as well, I will soon be under a microscope especially when this facility is discovered. I do not have the ability to look after them." She had proceeded to tell Loki.

"There is something that I have to show them as well."

Loki had nodded at that as he moved deeper into the facility.

(Amanda Waller pov)

Amanda Waller had looked through most of the document and what she had seen had appalled her. The entire manner in which the operation had taken place had Hydra's hand all over it. A series of political assassinations and a few whispers in the right ears had been enough for the civil war to be set off.

An entire country whose population was being used as test subjects. She had read the record of how people were recruited from protestors. As a standing army as well as for various human experimentation.

One of her eye was always on Tobi as he fought and she seriously had realized that he was being severely underestimated by them as well. He had displayed a list of abilities that she would need to catalogue later. A series of multiple meta-human abilities and advanced close range combat as well.

It is fortunate that he has already come to an agreement with her. She fears for the day someone like this should turn against humanity. And also the moment, she does not have the luxury to think about stuff like this at least. She had realized.

Tobi had dealt with the superpowered twins. It was time that she dealt with any of the misgivings both of them may have. So she had requested to speak to them. They all had been deceived, and it is time that they all learn the truth.
