The initial shock of being in an unfamiliar body had left Tiffany stunned for a moment but she did not have long to think over why it had happened.
The body that she was in had not been like her own body and there were parts that were made from fabrics or were stuffed.
It lacked the solid structure to be able to handle her first movements of moving the head around which was the part that had the most weight and was made from something else that made it hard.
The movements of the head and her other movements had caused the body to go off balance then Tiffany found that she could not stop herself as she fell forward.
Her current body had fallen flat from a seated position which had restricted her vision further and could only allow a certain line of sight when she turned her head. 'It is older sister's room, I know it is. She must be sleeping.'
Her vision had faded to darkness once again as she had slept through the night but Tiffany had just thought that it was a strange dream.
It started off small with the dreams from the perspective of another body but then had slowly increased as the day had passed.
Tiffany was confused about why she was experiencing something so strange and what was the thing that had triggered it.
There was usually some kind of visible display of their Quirk or some kind of change that they underwent but Tiffany had not felt any changes within her or at least she did not notice them right away.
There were mechanisms or certain ways to use some Quirks so not all of them were so simple.
Some worked off emotions, touch, ingesting something or many other ways to activate their Quirk so Tiffany was busy trying to find out what her dreams were about.
Sometimes just being conscious about or knowing how the Quirk worked was enough to help use it once it had manifested while some would take longer to find out they had one.
She was still young so she did not understand her situation right away and she did not feel that it was that important to bring it up with others, it was difficult enough to see others in the Carnival like her adoptive parents so she did not have many to rely on besides those around her.
Slowly the dreams had started to change and became more real but each of them had started to be from other perspectives.
Some bodies could be moved while others could not depending on what they were made from while some of them had some faults in other places.
Slowly the pieces were coming together and Tiffany had sat on a bale of hay after waking up. "The dummy.. the toys.. the teddy bears.. the dolls."
Her eyes went down towards her own hand and widened in shock. "Is it.. my hands?"
There were some memories of touching or holding some toys, dolls, dummies, puppets or other things that either belonged to someone else or were for sale and could be won within the carnival.
It explained why some places that she had seen were very unfamiliar to her while others were places that she had visited before.
In order to test out her theory, Tiffany had used a little of her spending money that had been saved up and purchased a small doll.
It was not considered as anything special for someone her own age to buy herself a doll or toy so nobody had found anything strange about it.
Tiffany did not wish to make anything public until she knew what she was capable of so she had found a place to practice on her own. 'Now how does this work?'
Her finger had pointed out and touched the doll for a moment but nothing had happened after a long time.
There was a slight look of concentration on her face as her eyes were closed to try to sense things more clearly or to attempt to activate the use of her Quirk.
After some time, Tiffany opened her eyes and looked disappointed but she did not give up. "Try again."
The next time was done using two fingers touching it and it continued until Tiffany was holding it with each finger and thumb on one hand touching the doll.
There was suddenly an intimate feeling that had started to slowly build up the longer that she had held onto the doll. "Hm?"
It started out very slow and she could not feel a single thing but slowly it had seemed like the doll was bonding with her.
That link was becoming stronger the longer that she had held onto it so Tiffany did not let go of it for a very long time.
Once she had spent some time familiarising herself with the doll and her suspected ability, Tiffany had experienced dreams more frequently through the night as her ability seemed to be improving the more that she used it.
The doll that was closest to her and the others that she had purchased afterwards had been far closer to her in terms of her bond with them.
They were so close to her that they had seemed like they were a part of her own body like being one of her own limbs that she could freely manipulate.
The most useful among the toys that she had bought were the ones that had more freedom of movement and were those that had a body similar to a human or animal form.
Simpler shapes were far more difficult to manipulate without possessing some form of ability to move them with telekinesis so for them to be of any use to her, they needed to have a body type that could support itself and could move around on its own.
Anything within those conditions that seemed to be made of some kind of material like plastic, wood, ceramics, stone, cloth and metal had qualified for her to interact with them so long as she made contact with them for long enough to meet the conditions for the activation of her Quirk.
If there was some way to name her Quirk then it would be known as toy/doll/mannequin/puppet manipulation or model manipulation.
Rather than using strings to manipulate what she had touched like most puppet masters, her ability worked more like each thing she had bonded with became a part of her own body that she could make use of and she seemed to be able to take possession of them at times but she had little control over that part.
If the body she possessed did not have a pair of eyes, ears or other features then it was difficult for her to make use of that body for surveillance purposes.
There were some figurines that were too soft or hard that they could not be moved no matter how she tried to do so which meant that teddy bears and solid figurines or statues could only be used for surveillance.
A little more time had passed and Tiffany was slowly gaining enough courage to tell her adoptive parents about her Quirk.
Since she had held off for so long and practiced in secret, she had thought that it would be a bog surprise when she had revealed it to them but there was something that happened one night that had let her trust in them drop by a lot.
