A University was not far from the cafe. Since Yang Jingyue was staying in the dormitory, she lent her bike to Gu Nanyu after she accompanied her back to the university.

Undeniably, Yang Jingyue was indeed Gu Nanyu's lucky star.

Gu family's house was considerably far from where they were. Without the bicycle, the night would have fallen by the time Gu Nanyu walked back on foot.

Then, Gu Nanyu rode the bicycle home, cheerfully humming a joyful tune during the journey. However, her carefreeness might have offended the sky because it started drizzling unexpectedly halfway through her trip.

After a glance at the sky, all Gu Nanyu could do was cycle faster back home as the rain did not seem to have any intention of stopping.

The sky was layered with dark clouds as the downpour raged on viciously, accompanied by occasional lightning and rumbling thunder.

Meanwhile, Fu Beichen's car was parked right beneath Binhe Bridge, from which he watched Gu Nanyu as her silhouette gradually faded in the rain.

"Minister, from what we heard, Gu Nanyu seems to be…slightly different..." Jiang Yishan peered at Fu Beichen, who was sitting in silence in the back seat of the vehicle.

Fu Beichen lifted his gaze and glanced at the figure that had disappeared in the rain.

As a matter of fact, Gu Yan'an did a great job hiding Gu Nanyu's identity by bribing all the doctors and nurses who delivered her in the hospital.

Initially, Fu Beichen investigated Fu Xingchen by using the jade in Gu Nanyu's possession but he coincidentally found out that Gu Nanyu was, in fact, a girl.

Yet, from the information gathered by Jiang Yishan, Gu Nanyu seemed to be very against the idea of dressing up as a boy.

When she was 10 years old, Gu Yan'an died of an illness not long after her brother, Gu Xize, was born. A month later, Fu Xingchen went missing as well.

Gu Xize was diagnosed with severe autism when he was three and he had not uttered a single word to this day.

Previously, Gu Yan'an had miraculously revived a celebrity from the verge of bankruptcy, thus creating a legendary tale in the entertainment world. However, all his shares fell into the hands of Gu Ming'an and Gu Xiang'an after his death.

Back then, Gu Nanyu was only 10 years old, so she was still too young and naive to understand what was going on in her family. Not to mention, she was deliberately misled by Gu Ming'an and had made many blunders that eventually ruined her reputation.

In school, her grades were bad and her relationships with her classmates were terrible. When others knew that she had feelings for Ling Xiuqi, the boys distanced themselves and the girls gave her the cold shoulder. Undoubtedly, she was doing so much worse than her own sister who was in the same school.

Additionally, Jiang Yishan had also found out that her own sister was the reason behind her increasingly tainted reputation.

This was due to the fact that Gu Nanyu would repeatedly shoulder the responsibility for everything that Gu Dongxue had done wrong.

Even though it was a silly thing to do, it was clear that she cherished and valued her family.

Formerly, she would have tried to cut ties with the Gu family if she knew she was related to the Fu family.

Subsequently, Fu Beichen spoke unhurriedly, "Don't worry, she will take the initiative to find us."

After that, he leaned back and shut his eyes without another word.

At that moment, Jiang Yishan glimpsed at Fu Beichen through the rear-view mirror. Although he could not understand what Fu Beichen meant, he did not question further and proceeded to drive back home.

Meanwhile, Gu Nanyu was absolutely drenched when she reached home.

Even at the start of summer, the rain was still quite chilly.
