Sachiko and I walked toward the exit, evading the people who were coming in. She felt heavier on my shoulder with each second that passed.

Once on the sidewalk, I took my phone out of my purse, just to realize I hadn't prepared the Taxi app to be used in another country.

Shit.

Instead, I opened the browser to look for images of Stockholm taxis. Just as they began to load, I noticed a black car with big, white letters driving past us. They spelled taxi, along with a number beneath. I opened the Phone app and began typing the number, but another taxi drove past as I did so. I looked over in the direction they were coming from. There were several taxis parked in front of the club, so Sachiko and I walked to one of them.

The driver rolled the window down when he noticed me looking inside the car. Before I could say anything, he asked.

"Is she nauseous?"

"Ah, no."
