C04: Elliot - 1

A loud beeping startled me awake. My neck was killing me and my eyes were glued shut from dried out contacts. I felt around for my phone and when I got an eye open I flicked off the alarm. It was Monday. Shit.

Anna was sound asleep. She wasn't coming to school today. That's a pain. I have to deal with Cameron on my own. I looked around, suddenly remembering Eithan had been here. Had. Wasn't anymore. The bugger left me here. I texted Mrs. Brianson, I forgot to lastnight and she probably assumed her daughter was at my place for the night. Wrong.

SMS

Anna @ hospital, shes ok, fell lastnight. Eithan drove. I have school, come pick up pls, room 65 general.

An hour later Anna's mum came bursting through the room's door and looked at her sleeping daughter, then at me. "Come on," she says. "You don't want to be late for school do you?" I was already going to be late.

"It's okay- just be with yo-"

"Anna will be fine darl', I'll pick her up later."

Can't argue with that, Anna was yet to be let out yet anyways.

I was dropped off home, showered and dressed, and made my way by foot to school. I sent in the unfinished assignment to Mr Barnes when I got to school. Better than nothing.

It was recess.

I made my way to where Anna, myself and Cam usually sit. Cam was there eating a KFC burger and playing a phone game. But Elliot was there too and he looked up at me, back down to his phone- then back up at me as I bee-lined for the nearest female bathroom.

A few moments later he swung the door open and knocked on the stall I hid in.

Ugh.
