CHAPTER 18: LOVERS IN TORTURE

"Do I have to go over the plan again?" Reebabo asks the 5 members of the taskforce who are standing before him with all ears attentive.

The taskforce shake their heads to let Reebabo know they understand the plan. Reebabo just explained to the taskforce the attack they would lay on Felix's lab in Danville next week. All immortal and the taskforce present surrounding a large round table with the model of Felix's lab on top, in the big hall at Avalon.

"I'll need to make the cage spelled  so it can keep him trapped. He is a smart dude, I have to use the best cage that will also weaken his intellectual capability and mental thinking," Gangola concludes the discussion concerning the attack.

"You all can go now, prepare yourself for the big day." Theux tells them before they all nod and leave the hall.

Archimedian flies through the door and lands before the immortals looking a bit worried. This causes Theux to ask what happened.

"Sir, I just got news that the 10 spies have been annihilated. Their powers have been inputted into powersuckers. One of them was able to send an SOS message to me before he was killed. They know Felix has plans for something big but don't know what." Archimedian downloads the details to the immortals, who now have worried looks. Theux pupils are now blue as a reflection of his current emotion.

Reebabo is in deep thoughts with one hand on his waist and the other on his chin, "if Felix has more powersuckers, that's nothing but bad. The only way he can harm us with such plan is if he knows our location, which I hope he doesn't. We need to be more prepared to face him. But this is very terrible, ten powersuckers? Hmmmm."

" More reason, we have to execute that plan perfectly in order to suppress him", Theux adds after which he turns to Archimedian, thanks him for the information and instructs him to leave.

After much silence, Reelora speaks, "wow, all those spies gone." She just continues staring into an empty space grieving the loss.

"The worry and fear is Felix. With that much power, he could destroy this realm. You remember he is after the  core. I feel we need a plan B. Maybe a place they can hide in case of misfortunes", Cerberus suggests while maintaining a terrified look.

"That will be good. Better safe than sorry. I will make a portal to a desert to hide, just in case", Gangola adds to Cerberus's suggestion.

"I have work to do, I will see you later", Gangola says before leaving to a room at the left side of the hall.

The rest just disperse to their various duties, obviously still shocked and worried about the news. All they can do is hope on that their attack would certainly free them from all the worry and fear.

IN THE HUMAN REALM...

As the afternoon gets hotter with the sun at the highest peak of the day, the abandoned warehouse still looks as dark as ever because of the natural light that has been restricted.

Two prisoners tied to chairs, clearly tired and bruised from the torture and three goons in black watching over them.

" What don't you understand? I told you I can't reveal our location, that would put everyone in danger", Koven drags his words like he is forcing the strength to say them.

Lucy is just quiet trying to stay awake from all the tiredness. The muscular guy with the husky guy smiles before speaking, " I think you like the pain right. Let's change the game a little bit, shall we?" He gives one of the guys a signal and just then, one of them uses a knife and slices Lucy's right right thigh causing her to tell in pain.

Koven's heartbeat increases in fear of seeing his beloved dead, he shouts immediately, "Ok! Ok ! But I have to show you, it's not easy to explain."

The husky guy shows doubt and distrust in Koven and Koven assures him, "If I explain it to you, you would think I'm leading you all to your deaths. Therefore, it better not only show you but enter the portal to prove it to you." Not fully convinced, the husky guy replies, " you will show us but we will not let Lucy go yet, just in case of funny business."

Koven just nods while the husky guys give guys the signal to untie the prisoners but hold them under strong arms.

The husky guy gives the prisoners water, thereby giving them little energy to walk. The substance inserted in Koven's body has left his powers dormant causing him to be weak.

Koven is made to lead the way with his two hands held at the back by one of the goons, the same thing for Lucy who is very weak.
