Pete’s Orientation
"He's showing signs of waking up."
"What happened to him?"
"His physical body could not sustain the Robinhood System for long. It's his second time within the same day, after all."
"Is he going to be okay?"
"I think so. Look, he's already awake."
Pete opened his eyes to see three faces looming over him. One was Rodrick's, and the other was Raya's. The third face belonged to a mature woman he had not seen before. She was dressed professionally.
Behind them, the blinding Deathleaf's lights had been dimmed down. It meant he was still there, but they had moved him to the pavilion. The crowd was gone.
"What happened to me?" he mumbled groggily.
"You passed out, Peter," Rodrick replied. "It's fine. I've administered some healing serum. You can try to get up now."
The boy sat up and struggled to his feet. He stretched his limbs and found his injuries gone.
Pete was wearing new clothes made from a strange yet comfortable fabric.
"My clothes?"
