11. Bruno to the rescue.....

Shocked beyond anything that Bruno was sitting in front of her Ava stood there frozen on her spot for a moment or two before she crouched down in front of him while Bruno watched her with his sad golden eyes.

"I'm sorry Bruno!....i....i just couldn't face Grissom, he....after Lucas.....i felt disgusted.....suffocating! I just.....I'm sorry, he must hate me by now" she muttered as Bruno listened intebtky to her while he grabbed sher gently by the waist and put her into his lap.

Without trying to hurt her with his sharp paws he rubbed her back slowly.

And little by little he felt his little human mate relax in his arms.

He sighed contently and leaned his huge body against the wall, trying to steady himself.

After a while when Ava had fallen asleep in his huge arms he held her up with one arm while with the other he helped himself to get up from the floor while trying not to hit anything and slowly stretched himself up to his full length and walked down the stairs with his mate still sleeping in his arms.

Once down he walked over to the living room and entered.

"Oh! Ah you got her out i see!" Lionel smirked at his bear friend while his inner lion Cesar chuckled as well seeing his bear friend so out of place in this human house!

Betty who looks in shock from her sister, to Bruno and then to Lionel just sits there and watches.

Bruno walked over to an empty space in the corner of the room and dropped himself on his big bear butt on the ground while cradling a still sleeping Ava in his arms.

"If you are getting tired you can put her on the sofa!" Lionel tells Bruno but Bruno just puts her against his chest protective and huffed with glowing eyes letting him know to back off!

"Okay! Chill out Bruno, i am not going to take your mate away from you, jeez! Possessive grizzly!" He chuckled at his friend who just ignored him while only having eyes for his mate.

Grissom wants so badly to be with her too but understands that maybe it's better if she is with Bruno now, seeing her reaction to him. He just hopes that she will change her mind soon and let him in again as well.

While Bruno has only ears and eyes for his cute little sleeping mate, Lionel is talking with Betty, getting to know her a bit more.

"I have a fairy friend you know, he's my classmate Lee, maybe you know him?" She asked while nibbling on a cooky she grabbed frok the jar on the table.

"Lee? Uhm let me think...ah yes if it's the same Lee that lives ik a treehouse close to the Unicorns then yes i know him!" Lionel replied her.

"Yes yes! That's him! We are best friends only my dear sister dienst know about his uhm other side, she thinks he just a strange boy sometimes" Betty explained with a pout.

"Why does she think he's star he Betty?"

"Well uhm you know, he's nit a human like us so i think that might have something to do with it but she never saw him with his wings on thank God so she just presumed he's a mere boy"

"Oh ok, well what do you think about the otherside, do you like them or?" He asked her curiously.

"Yes i do! And i dont understand why our mayor is so evil! Ava is not believing much of the stories but i do, trough what i hear from Lee that man is buddy on a war path to extinct all creatures, so is that true?" She asked.

"Well yeah kind of but the reason behind it is not clear, my father is still looking into...that" he says a bit reluctant.

"Your father? Who's he?"

"Ehm well....he's also from the otherside...am the next in line to the throne of the Alpha of Alpha', the lion King, Betty" he explained making her eyes pop.

"Wha....what?!! You....you're also a shifter, a lion.....shifter?.....oh that's cool!" Betty exclaimed with sparkling eyes.

"So what's your lions name?" She then asked him curiously.

"Cesar, his name is Cesar"

"Oh nice! Can we meet him someday?"

"Sure Betty, but your sister doesn't know and I'm also not sure if she would like the fact that she is working among two beasts in the office, one grizzly is already enough for her and sometimes hard to deal with from what I've heard sofar from our bear friend over there so maybe we can that fact out of it for now, at least untill she is comfortable being around Bruno and Grissom"

"Oh....yeah didn't think of that! Well i think it's pretty cool but she will not hear it from me, anyways not until you tell me i can tell her or you guys tell her, that's ok by me" betty says removing the cooky crumbs with her hand.

"Okay good lets do that!...uhm Bruno? I want to back to the office to do some work done so do you want to come or are you staying?" He asked turning towards Bruno who was starring lovingly to Ava who was slowly waking up from slumber.

"Okay, that look says it all! No worries my friend, tell Grissom hi and I'll see you next time!"

"So you are going?" Betty asked with a slight pout, enjoying his company.

"Yes, sorry Betty! We came here for your sisters to check up on here but it seems that she is more than okay in Bruno's hands so i like to go back to my office to get some work done and after that I'll go home, but you are always welcome to come visit us at the company, just let one of us know you are there and then we make sure security let you in ok?"

"Oh yes, i like that and thank you for visiting us"

"Your welcome my dear, now you take care of Ava and my furry friend and then we will see some other time ok!"

"Okay, goodbye Lionel!"

"Bye Betty!" Lionel says and leaves the house.

While he drove off back to the company with a smile on his lips Bruno was staring deep into his mates eyes who also stared back at his....

"Ava! What are you going to do the rest of the day, do you have plans?" Betty asked while sitting down in front of Bruno while stroking his soft für.

"I....i don't know sis! I uhm....I'm sorry for the way i reacted! I know you all care for me but....you know when i saw him again all the stuff that happened flashed back into my mind, all the pain and frustration of not having a chance of escaping that monster and i just mentally locked up in that circle so when i woke up after i had passed out i freaked out being with Grissom still thinking it was Lucas with his arms around me so i ran!.....i know I've hurt you guys but please understand it wasn't my intention too! My mind just played horrible tricks on me after i saw that man in Grissom's company...please Bruno, if there is anyway you can communicate with your human side....please tell Griss, I'm sorry for hurting him!" She whispered looking up at Bruno who nodded his big head.

"We get it sis! We were just so worried that's all! Especially Grissom i can imagine since he loves you very much!" Betty says.

"Yeah, I feel bad but it's still all so new to me, having a bear boyfriend and all that....well hopefully we can work it out"

"Yeah i hope you can sis, he seems like a good man, besides being very handsome" Betty smirked.

"Yeah yeah, you get your own one day!" Ava chuckled while trying to get up from Bruno's lap.

"It doesn't look like he wants you to go girl!" Betty snikkered looking at Bruno's pout.

"Well i have to go pee so unless he want a mess on his lap he better let ne go!" She chuckled and then Bruno let her loose so she could stand up and go to the bathroom.

After Ava had done her business in the toilet, she came out and walked back towards te living room. Upon entering she couldn't find Bruno so she scratched her head thinking it would be weird for her nit to find him since a bear couldn't possibly hide in the apartement.....

"Bruno?" She called out still looking around. But then a pair of muscular arms snaked around her waist making her almost jump up.

"It's okay, i forgive you! I understand little one! What that amen has done to you is not a small thing! I get that, i was just surprised and a bit hurt when you pushed me away like that" Grissom whispered in her ears giving her goosebumps all over as his scent huts her nosetrills and his breath tickled her skin sensually.

She turned around an put her head ik his warm chest and sighed.

"I'm really sorry Griss! My mind just went hay wire! I'll do my best to not let it happen again" she whispered while rubbing her small hands in his chest making him groan, as bolts of pleasure started shooting through his body, straight to his c**k.....

Suddenly Ava's eyes gree slightly wider upon feeling something hard poking against her thighs and she looked down only to see Grissom's huge bulge in his pants....

"Did....did i do that?" She asked shyly with flushed cheeks looking up to him.

"Yes, that is all your doing my love! It's all yours whenever you want!" He husked while starting to nibble on her ear making Ava to whimper softly.

"I....i....uhm we.....i." she whispered biting her lower lip, darkening his orbs....

Slowly he leans in and presses his lips on her soft pink, plump petals for a deep passionate kiss...
