Chapter 65: High tier Element [Bonus]

The dragon kept looking at the three draconic beasts in front of him while thinking about the achievement, 'What were these question marks...'. He pushed it back as he started to think about the great benefits of the title he got, 'Another source of XP. That is exactly what I need to catch up, at least with most of the players.'

"Groar!" the dracodactyl without volcanic armour opened its mouth, and a small sphere of lightning flew out, hitting a small rock nearby. The sphere burst upon impact sending electrical sparks in all directions and creating a black seared spot on the rock.

Vesuvius's grin grew even more upon seeing that as he realized that dracodactyls gained ranged attacks. It wasn't devasting as a dragon breath, but it was still more than anything normal wyverns had.

Two other dracodactyls growled and released their own magma spheres. They hit random rocks and burst to create small puddles of lava while partially melting the rocks they hit.

'It looks like only one of them took on all of my affinities. Also, their intelligence is still on the level of a smart dog.' The dragon looked at the dracodactyl in volcanic armour, with electricity crackling around it.

The rest of the wyverns still stood with their heads pressed towards the ground. Vesuvius thought about transforming them too, but in the end, he decided against it, 'I still don't know about the reproduction rate of dracodactyls, so I would rather keep most of them as wyverns for now.'

Vesuvius got a great idea about breeding large amounts of wyverns that could be later transformed into dracodactyls, giving him access to a large flock of flying monsters with ranged attacks. It would be useless against strong individuals, but it would be a nightmare for regular armies and towns.

'Also, I can use them as the official mounts for my faction; it would be a great attraction to players.'

In LOMM, it was rare for players that weren't high level to have access to flying mounts and even if they had, they would be just some gryfons, giant eagles or wyverns. All three of them lacked any strong elemental attacks.

'All I need to breed them is to secure an abundant food source and then use my dragon authority to make them more focused on procreating.' If humans wanted to breed wyverns, it would be an arduous process, as they would need extensive facilities to house them, lots of magical equipment to prevent them from escaping and experienced tamers to tame them. However, there were none of these problems for a dragon like Vesuvius.

As for the food, the dragon immediately knew where to get it, 'I will let my minions escort a large number of cattle here. There is lots of grass here, so there is no need to feed them. And the predators as I will keep them outside...' Vesuvius looked at the big dracodactyls, 'Well, I think they will not be a problem. I will use dracodactyls as the reward, and my minions will fight for the opportunity. Anyway, I think I am done here for now.'

The dragon's cold voice reverberated once again, carrying his will magically encoded into it, "Go, return to your normal activities, but don't move too far from here."

The dragon took one last look at the wyverns and dracodactyls. Then he flapped his wings, rising into the air, 'Time to continue my journey. There is nothing more that I currently need to do with them.'

The dragon flew forward, mountains slowly vanishing and getting replaced by vast and verdant grasslands. A large mass of dark clouds drifted above them. Lightning kept striking across the open space, and heavy rain fell down, making it hard to see into the distance. The whole storm felt unnatural as he could see that the clouds remained in the same location without moving even though the grass under them kept moving in a strong wind. Everywhere before him was green except for a small stony silhouette of something. It was so far that even with his dragon eyes, he couldn't tell what it was through the heavy rain.

'What is this?' His interest piqued as he flapped his wings stronger, quickly flying towards the storm. He wasn't afraid of its source as he had an affinity towards lightning and electricity, making him sure in his ability to easily defeat even monsters with a much higher level than his if they were using these elements.

The stone structure in the distance kept getting bigger. He was already sure that it wasn't natural as it was too symmetrical. It was huge and stuck out in the middle of the green pasture. He could already distinguish that it had a cylindrical shape with massive pillars holding a roof made out of a single piece of a huge stone.

Suddenly he felt a pulse of incredibly strong yet familiar aura. It kept pushing toward him, making him slow down. But before he could think about it, a loud squeal came from above the clouds.

Two massive birds sparkling with lightning descended down. Turbulent winds kept rotating around them, making the raindrops create a veil around them. They were relatively big for birds, with the size of their torse being similar to that of a motorbike. Small electrical arcs kept flashing in their eyes and around their smooth, ethereal beaks made out of the condensed winds. Their feathers also looked ethereal, as if made out of lighting and wind.

As an experienced player Vesuvius immediately recognized their elemental, ethereal bodies, 'They are some kind of elementals and not weak ones as they already got semi-physical form.'

Two birds directed their gaze at the dragon, their eyes crackling with lightning, and a small storm of blue electrical sparks suddenly formed around their wings as they flapped them in a weird hypnotizing pattern.

Winds around them quickly gathered into two massive tornadoes going all the way towards the ground. Then lightning crackled, filling the tornadoes with arcs of lightning. Surrounding rain droplets immediately got sucked in, merging with winds and allowing electricity to cover the whole tornados, turning them into horrible twisters of winds, water and lightning.

Vesuvius immediately realized that he significantly underestimated the situation when he saw how perfectly the three elements worked together and boosted each other, 'A thunderstorm element. That is not good. They are not just controlling these three elements separately. They have already managed to fuse them into a higher and stronger element.'

It was something that even Vesuvius still didn't manage to do. He still didn't unify all of his affinities into a single and powerful concept of a volcano, 'However, which is to be expected. The volcano is much more complex, containing much more different elements that I still don't control.'

He had magma, which was a fusion of fire and earth elements, but a thunderstorm was a fusion of much more elements. He was sure that water, lightning and wind were definitely part of it, but there was the possibility of more elements like frost being part of it too.
