Keep Calm and Be a Villain

“Here take this; I have prepared a good speech. Try to be more aggressive, you can use profanity if you feel like stuttering.” “Try to do a deep voice impression.” “Good night everybody… *cough**cough**cough*” Deep voice… go to hell… “As you all have already gathered here, let me get to straight to the Point.” Won’t they be angry with me talking like this? “From now on, you all will be working under me.” this is bad, what kind of speech is this? “I will kill anyone betraying me.” Why does this look like a threatening note? To his expectation, a loud applause reverted in the hall. A room full of criminals and villains had accepted him as their new leader.

Kidnapping 1.2

2050, January 4

Around five in the morning, two men entered the recycling center in tracksuits.

"Sir, I have been following the local and major news channel since four in the morning. But there was no news about the boys." Wilson said while browsing through the news feed.

"It's just been a few hours. Just be careful and act normal." opening the trap door, Aeras reminded.

"We are going to make a call for ransom right now and wait till evening to see how they react," Aeras said.

"Call them now, and from here. If something went wrong, the police would be waiting for us in the evening when we return." It was natural to be cautious when making a ransom call.

"Don't worry. I have personally handled the matter related to calls. The information you have provided me since the last week, I have made proper use of them." Aeras said in a confident tone.

Wilson only nodded his head and followed behind.

Entering the car, Aeras used his flashlight from mobile to shine light at the three faces, "They seem to be still asleep."

Aeras turned the flashlight off, "We should wake them up first. Hearing their voice will be more effective while asking for money."

"But we didn't bring water. Maybe nudging will work." Wilson said.

"Don't make any physical contact. We should use something else." Aeras said.

"We can call their name aloud. Or shine strong light in their face. It works for me." Wilson suggested.

"You are right. But we are trying to be kidnappers. At least think of a way, that they will remember for a long time." Aeras was trying to create a dangerous picture of themselves as kidnappers.

"This is my first time doing something like this. At least let me adjust for the time being," Wilson grumbled.

But after remembering the gaze of these guys at the club, Wilson shot a few ideas from his memories, "We can poke them with knives, hit them with a metal rod, and give them an electric shock. At last the best one; sprinkle some petrol on their skin and light em up." Years of watching movies and his knowledge were quite extensive.

Due to the darkness, Wilson couldn't see the wide-open mouth of Aeras. Is this how a first-timer thinks? Was he pretending to be an ordinary person?

"Calm down. Don't get too excited. We don't have to use such vicious methods," Aeras rejected Wilson calmly. "There should be a mechanic tool kit in the office. We can use something from there. Why don't you bring it down here?"

Wilson thought it was a good idea, "Ok, give me a moment."

"Look for a black box. And don't forget the gloves. They should be in the top-most drawer."

Wilson made his way up the ladder and looked around the office. He found the gloves but didn't find a black box.

Under the office table, there was a black box, "This is not the box he is asking for, right?" The black box reached higher than his waist and was damn heavy.

Wilson once again searched the office, but the only box looking and black was under the office table.

Out of curiosity, Wilson opened the box. Arms-length wire-cutters, pliers, wrenches, and screwdrivers of different shapes and sizes blessed his eyes. He was calling me vicious. I don't think these tools are used to play music.

Wilson took a fair amount of time to take the box to the basement.

"I brought the box. How are you going to use these tools? I will be learning from you today," Wilson pushed everything to Aeras. He didn't want to even think what Aeras was going to use them for.

Under the faint light coming from his mobile phone screen, Aeras walked out of the car and opened the box on the floor.

*Ting* *Ting*

The metallic sound of colliding tools echoed in the basement. Aeras rummaged through the tools for a long minute and stood up with pliers in hand.

"We can use this," Aeras said, wiping the sweat from his forehead. Aeras himself became agitated seeing the size of tools.

"Pliers… Are you going to pull their nails or teeth?" Wilson had seen a scene where a hero was torturing to get information.

"NO!" This guy's mind is vicious. He is the right choice for my right-hand position. But I am not ready to go to such an extreme just yet. My heart might stop just by seeing the blood.

"That's too gory. It will create a big mess to clean for us. I am thinking more of a traditional way." Aeras said calmly and turned to the car again.

"Boss, don't tell me, you are going to crush their balls." Wilson has recently seen a historical documentary. The documentary showed the torture methods of ancient people.

Aeras paused for a moment. Is he doing this on purpose? Aeras opened the door and took the driver's seat. Wilson also followed after him.

Aeras put the pliers on his lap, and shined the flashlight in their faces. Three tearful eyes were staring at the light without blinking.

Inside the car, the boys who have been awake for some time heard every word between two kidnappers.

'Is the light too bright making them uncomfortable?' Aeras misunderstood the fear for uncomforting.

Aeras put the light towards the window, "Since you guys are awake, I am expecting some cooperation. It is beneficial for both of us."

Such soft words won't work. I should try to intimidate them next. But the three boys nodded in unison repeatedly.

Their action dumbfounded both Wilson and Aeras.

It's so easy. We didn't have to do anything. They are so cooperative. It's no wonder kidnapping is such a lucrative job with little to no work.

Aeras, wasting no time, went through his mobile for a minute. And dialed a number; the number was completely different from the number related to the family of kidnapped boys.

Even the time taken to connect was longer than usual, "Hello." The right person answered the call somehow.

"Hello. Is this Mr. Desmond Fairburn associated with Handbook Group?" Aeras was a bank manager with decades of experience. He knew how to pull a person in conservation with simple sentences.

"Yes, who am I talking to?"

"Your son Dillon Fairborn, age 20, and he had currently dyed front part of the hair to blue, right?" It is crucial to pay attention to detail to create a lasting connection with a person in a conversation.

"Who are you? What do you want?" the anxiousness in the voice was proof of a successful connection with another person. He won't be disconnecting the call anytime soon.

"Dillon, talk with your dad?" Aeras deselected an option named 'morph' on the screen and took the phone near the boy.

Wilson helped to remove the duct tape from Dillon's mouth. Dillon talked, and very loudly at that.

"DAD, SAVE ME. PLEASE, SAVE ME. I WILL LISTEN TO EVERYTHING YOU SAY. JUST SAVE ME, PLEASE." Dillon said the same thing over and over.

Shshsshssss... Aeras made a gesture looking at Dillon. Nowadays, kids seem to scream over small things. I would have cursed if I hadn't still had the phone connected.

Seeing Dillon getting silent, Aeras gestured to put the tape on again. This kid is at least more obedient than most I have met.

Sitting next to Aeras, Wilson felt as if watching a movie scene. Aeras was the most notorious villain, and the boys were the prey trapped by the villain.

"Mr. Desmond, please expect a call from us in the dusk. In a day, you can make sure your son is indeed missing. Have a good day, Mr. Desmond." Aeras ended the call.

Aeras waited for his heart to return to its usual speed. Aeras broke past 200 in the heartbeat department. It was the first time for him to ride at such high speed.

By the time Aeras made the third call, he had already adjusted himself to the mentality of the kidnapper. He talked even more respectfully to the last two boy's father. And it seems to be very effective.

Aeras let the three boys drink water and sprayed the chloroform, putting them to sleep again.

After leaving the recycling center, it was already past 6, so they ran straight home. Both of them were keeping a close eye on the news with anticipation.

There was no news till they left their respective home.

In the lobby of the Bank of Lifornia, the employees have started taking their respective tables. Few customers were already in the queue waiting for the counter to open.

The television in the lobby of the Bank was going through the morning news.

Both Aeras and Wilson entered the Bank lobby.

[Breaking News: Three sons of the three shareholders of Handbook Group have been abducted from Lifornia Wild Club last night.

Right after the purge of TerrorFace, a new criminal has born. Due to the threat level of the criminal being high, the person was labeled as a 'Villain'.]

Without stopping their footsteps, Aeras and Wilson made their way towards the lift.

'We are finally successful." Both of them rejoiced without showing any changes in their face.
