Chapter 3: Six Years Pass…

~Third POV~

Six years have come and gone to pass in the Schnee Mansion…

In those six years Eis Schnee was getting along well with the rest of his family except for his trash bag of a father Jacques Schnee since his always busy with his business in handling the company.

During Eis time in the with the family was enjoyable since almost everyone was happy and doing their own things, but he also notices when the small changes are happening.

The first change he noticed was that Whitley is hanging around Jacques more often than his other siblings at times learning more about their father Eis could only sigh knowing he can't prevent it.

Ever since then Whitley has been rather distanced to his family members except for Jacques but he does responds to his siblings but starts to develop an arrogant attitude much to Eis annoyance.

Eis relationship with his family were good especially with Weiss and Winter since he always plays with them for most of the time and sometimes Willow or Klein come over to play with them as well.

Eis relationship with father is pretty tolerable at times Eis knows he can't do anything drastic to him just yet considering his still a child but from time to time Jacques tries to control Eis time to time with promise of 'bonding' time.

To Eis credit he responded accordingly by making an excuse to him that he Weiss, Winter, or Willow wanted to meet with him and thus avoids Jacques during those times.

As Eis was growing up he became a very good emotional support for Weiss since she was always near him since Eis is someone in Weiss age group to talk about or play around together other than their family.

When Weiss and Eis were at the age of 5 years old they started to be home schooled by the best money can pay for from their parents fortunately Weiss and Eis both developed a fear of homework during that time.

During one point in Eis life he asked Willow about what his grandfather father was like when they were alone in Willow Garden filled with exotic animals from Menagerie, "Mom what was grandpa like? I saw the portrait of him he looks awesome I want to know what he was like!"

When Willow heard what Eis said she responded with a small smile on her face and agrees to explain to Eis, "Sure my little Eis, my father Nicholas Schnee was a great young man he decided to spend his days at combat school, his nights working alongside his father in the dwindling Mantle mines, and anytime in between learning everything he could about anything he didn't know."

Eis nodded his head in understanding what Willow was describing of her father was an honest and brave man that always strive to be ambitious to make his empire as it is today making it a company and the founder of the company.

Willow also describes how Nicholas Schnee during her childhood years were fun whenever her father comes home with gifts during December to her if she promises to be a good girl and not be bad for a whole year.

Willow also described her father to be a Saint whenever its December he always tries to bring joy to the people of Mantle with toys that his company has done as tradition for every year but stopped when he was too busy with collecting Dust and received the nick name 'Old Nick'.

When Eis heard that part he couldn't help but think while expressing a wry smile, 'Ok why do I get the feeling that I'm related to Santa Claus right here?'

As the more Willow talks to Eis about her father she soon gets sad at the end of the story, "But even someone like your grandfather has passed away after being exposed to Dust Mines catching up to him going to a very nice place. If your grandfather was here now, he would probably be happy to meet his grandkids…"

Eis responds to Willow by hugging her while comforting her with a smile, "Mom I bet grandpa Old Nick is already looking after us right even if his from a faraway place, right?"

Willow just responds to Eis by giving a hug to him as well and responds with a smile towards him, "Yes… I bet his already taking care of you from afar. Now then Eis how about we check on your siblings yes."

With that Eis and Willow relationship is good during that time, but he also has good relationships with his older sister Winter.

When Winter and Eis are alone together in the younger years with Weiss playing tag around the mansion or enjoy reading books of fiction, but like all good things has to come to an end at some point or another is when Winter started her training.

When Weiss and Eis were born Winter was around 8 years old and as she grew up during that age, she was training to be enlisted into the Atlas Military Academy so that she can grow as a person of herself at the age of 17.

When Eis caught Winter training with a combat instructor in the front opening he went towards her with a smile, "Hey big sis Winter!"

Winter stops what she's doing and look towards Eis and smiles softly to greet her younger brother, "Hello there Eis what are you doing here I thought you would be at your studies?"

Eis just pretends he didn't hear that and asks his question to Winter, "Hey Winter what are you doing? Are you training?"

Winter saw no harm in telling Eis then she explains to Eis as simple as possible, "Easy I'm training to enlist in the Atlas Military little brother I want to become a Huntresses to help the people of Mantle and Atlas."

Then Eis asks innocently what Huntsmen and Huntresses are to Winter than she explains to Eis the importance of them are needed in the world they live in and explain the topic of Aura and Semblances.

When Winter was done explaining to Eis the instructor asks Winter with clear annoyance in his voice, "Miss Winter, as much as you like to spend time with your family, we have a schedule to keep now would you please get into position?"

Winter rolls her eyes in annoyance but does as she was told but Eis stops her with a question, "So cool! Hey Winter, can you open my Aura!"

The instructor and Winter stop before looking at Eis but laughs at the young boy with clear confusion on his face, "What? Was it something I said?"

Winter then explains to Eis the reason why they laughed, "Hahaha… Sorry about that Eis its just that in Atlas there hardly anyone in the nobles that have their Aura awaken in your age its usually reserved for those who want to become Huntsmen or Huntresses."

Eis was just confused but responds to the two of them but have a hopeful expression, "So only people who want to be Huntsmen and Huntresses can get aura? But can I have my aura awaken Winter please?"

Winter shakes her no but Eis uses the puppy dog eyes on her, but she looks rather reluctant then Eis uses the best expression of the puppy dog eye, "Pwease big sis Winter, with a Dust on top?"

Winter looks at Eis, but she quickly moves away her face from Eis while she finally agrees to open Eis aura while keeping away from the cuteness, "Alright! Alright! Just stop it with that expression already! I swear when you taught Weiss that expression to mother and me, we can't control ourselves how do you even know it will work!"

Eis just laughs at Winter while sticking out his togue acting mischievous to Winter, "Hmm… nope keeping that a secret big sis."

Winter sighs at Eis expression but places her hand on his head and begins to recite the chant needed to open one's aura, "For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance and unbound by death. I release your soul and by my shoulder protect thee."

With that Eis Aura was revealed to show a white blue light color while Winter and the instructor are surprised at the abundance of Aura her little brother has the unprecedented size but kept that fact quiet for now.

When Eis got his aura unlocked he was jumping in joy to finally have his aura awaken then he hugs Winter while saying to her, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you big sis Winter!"

Winter replies to Eis with while releasing him from the hug, "Your very welcome Eis but make sure to keep this a secret I don't think father would like the idea for you to become a Huntsmen."

Eis nodded his head in agreement and went off to the Mansion to return to his studies while the instructor makes a comment of Eis while impressed voice, "Well now Miss Winter that little kid is your brother yes? His aura… it was absolutely monstrous to have that much for someone that young I can see a big future for him as a Huntsmen soldier of Atlas yes?"

Winter nods her head in agreement while making a comment on her little brother, "Yes… he has monstrous Aura, but he is still my little brother whatever choice he makes I'm sure he will make waves of trouble."

With that Winter returns to her time training again while Eis returned to his own room while practicing his stand ability to get a better time training.

In all the past 6 years Eis was training his stand abilities to the best of his knowledge but only does it in secret since he can't always train in front of his family until he has an excuse ready for it.

During the last six years Eis was testing out if it was possible for him to summon two stands at once but it was proved true, but it cost him a lot of stamina to use and for the time being he only has enough strength to use one Stand for the time being.

Only Eis knows what his stands can do while he was in his room, he checked his calendar to see it was going to be May 15 Weiss and Eis birthday he smiles wry about that considering only a few members of their family only come to join.

When Eis saw that his birthday was coming soon he says to himself while expressing a frown, "Still after six years has passed I still couldn't get one mission yet and to get a Bizarre Token from the shop cost 30,000 Lien something that I'm lacking… still though fighting is good and all but I also need to learn what this world has to offer."

When Eis returns to his studying the system notified Eis that a Mission would happen tomorrow that brought him a wry smile on his face.

When Eis saw the mission, his eyes narrowed at it since it's going to happen tomorrow but most importantly, he wanted the one thing from the mission… 'I want that hat...'
