A Combination of Two

I opened my eyes and I find myself floating in the midst of darkness.

My body felt heavy and numb but I strangely don't feel like I'm in danger.

"Hello, child."

I flinched as I heard the horrendous sound pierced my brain.

I recognize it, the same voice that I heard before the portal closed.

I looked up and saw... it.

It's a horrifying monster. There's nothing more to describe it.

If I didn't know what it was, then I would probably scream and be terrified out of my mind the moment I see it.

It has millions of eyes, arms, tails, mouth, wings, tentacles, and other types of unknown limbs and apoendages protruding in random places in all shapes, sizes, mass, and colors. Each and every single 'organ' is moving with no direction nor purpose.

Its existence alone is incomprehensible, like its sole purpose is to be illogical, nonsensical, and repulsive to all beings as it obeys no known laws in the universe. No, as if its the exception to all the laws.

I could say every single negative word in the world and it still wouldn't be able to describe how this thing looks and how it feels to be in its presence.

"Who are you? Why am I here? Why did you give me power?" I gathered the courage to ask.

"I am the center of existence and reality. You are in my realm. I gave you power because my children wished for it."

My body body shook when it answered. Again, with that appalling sound. I don't think my entire being could last a few conversations with it.

"Then allow me to thank you. With your power, I could do anything."

I forced myself to talk, putting the pain in my head at the least of my worries.

It's probably the reason why I was also reincarnated and now it also gave me immense power.

"You will be visited by a child of mine. Farewell, child. Use that power however you like. I shall once again return to my slumber."

Slowly, everything in its 'body' became idle; the eyes closed, its tentacles stopped wiggling, and its wings stopped flapping. It felt like time slowed down in this void as I observed it go to sleep.

And then, I woke up.
