Chapter 47: If you're done then die.

"You have brought a big fish here, Twice.", Shigaraki said staring at Overhaul.

"Big fish? That's iconic.....coming from the famous League Of Villains."

Overhaul replied.

Stealing a glance to his side, he saw Mechamaru quietly using his workstation, he didn't even turn to look at him as if he didn't exist.

"Mechanical Overlord...."

Muttering in a small voice, he turned his gaze back to Shigaraki.

'Is he the leader?.....but why?...'

In this small amount of time, a lot of thoughts passed through Overhaul's mind.

"I have come with a proposal.", Overhaul said in a calm voice, staring at Shigaraki.

"What is your proposal?", Shigaraki scratched his chin, looking interested.

All the other members of the League Of Villains stood around him, looking curiously at Overhaul and his bodyguard.

"The legends of the past have been defeated."

He looked at Mechamaru with a shining gaze.

"I believe it is time to select a new leader."

Shigaraki felt annoyed, it was as if Overhaul wasn't talking to him but Mechamaru.

But Mechamaru was his friend so it didn't affect him much.

"It is obvious, I will be the new leader, with All For One as my teacher and my friend Mechamaru as my second in command."

Shigaraki tightly clenched his palm, looking excited.

"I will crush this hero society to dust."

"Do you have a plan?"

Overhaul asked, his eyes looking at Mechamaru.

"Plan?"

Shigaraki stopped and gave Overhaul a better look.

"Yes a plan, you need a structured approach to achieve anything, without a plan all your wishes are nothing but delusional."

"Oi oi are you even here to join us?"

Overhaul shook his head.

"I am not here to join you."

"Tsk hey twice don't bring people here next time before knowing their intent."

"S-shigaraki I----"

"Both Muscular and moon fish were excellent pawns."

Overhaul narrowed his eyes.

"But you lost both of them."

Shigaraki fell silent.

"You have no plan, you can't even manage your own people, unable to use their strengths to their full potential...."

His voice suddenly increased in volume.

"But I am different."

His hand extended towards Mechamaru who was working on a new set of armour.

"Instead of following him, if you were to join with me, with your strength and my intelligence, we would easily be able to attract a lot of investment, giving shape to the new world order."

"So come under me."

By now he has completely turned towards Mechamru, Ignoring Shigaraki.

"I will help you better utilize your strength."

Shigaraki's remained silent, but his eyes kept glowing with dangerous light.

Feeling everyone's eyes looking at him, Mecahamru finally opened his mouth and said.

"If you are done listening to his nonsense....."

Throughout the entire process he never once looked directly at Overhaul.

"Then kill him."

Even when declaring his death warrant.

As soon as the words left his mouth.

A terribly hot, blue flame rushed towards Overhaul's bodyguard, not even giving him a chance to react.

It happened so fast, that neither Overhaul nor his sniper hiding on the roof could react.

"Arghh!"

"First one down."

Dabi in his pitch-black armor said in a crazy voice and moved his hand spewing blue flames.

Overhaul's pupils constricted, and he hurriedly jumped back, barely avoiding the flame.

"Why?"

He stared at Mechamaru and asked in a confused voice.

But what he got in return?

Was Tiga's sharp claws, rushing straight towards his heart.

Overhaul saw it, he knew he was slower than Toga.

But still, his heart was calm.

Since there was support ready on the roof.

His body moved accordingly, waiting for the opportunity.

He waited.

For the chance.

Which unfortunately never arrived.

Toga's metal claws pierced through the entire left half of Overhaul's chest, splashing blood and meat everywhere.

Overhaul's eyes trembled, looking up at the roof in anger.

Unfortunately what he saw, was not the face of his most trusted aid but ashes.

'When?'

His eyes lost focus, barely managing to touch his shoulder relying on sheer will but just when he was about to heal himself using his quirk.

Shigaraki's hand grabbed his face.

"Decay."

With one word.

Overhaul's body cracked, turning grey.

Experiencing the feeling of death coming closer, Overhaul's quirk started working in overdrive barely preventing him from dying.

Moving his eyes towards Mechamaru he shouted in a loud voice.

"Wait! I am willing to work under you!"

But all he got in return.

"Shut up and die."

Was Shigaraki's cold voice.

Decay's effect surpassed Overhaul's quirk.

At the same time, Toga used her power, to stop his quirk from working.

As he felt his life fading away. He couldn't help but notice.

From the beginning to the end.

Mechamaru, the Mechanical Overlord.

Never once bothered to look at him.

With an unresigned look in his eyes, Overhaul, the sub-villain of MHA turned to dust.

Not even lasting a full chapter.

After he was gone, Mechamaru got up from his workbench holding a blood-red armor in hand.

Calmly tossing it towards the excited Toga he stood in front of Overhaul's last companion who kept trembling like crazy.

"Take me to your layer."

In the long corridor, Shigaraki and Mechamaru walked side by side.

*Boom*

Unaffected by the explosions.

"Arghhh!"

Nor disturbed by the death cries around them.

"D-die!"

One of Overhaul's goons suddenly jumped out of the corner launching a sneak attack at Mechamaru.

"No, you don't."

But he was instantly stopped in place by Magne, just when she was about to pull him towards her, a blue flame rushed towards the goon, burning him alive.

"Sorry sorry, my hand slipped."

Dabi said in a not at all apologetic tone.

"Tsk fcking kill steal."

Magne said in an annoyed voice, looking curiously at the red flash that would pass by their eyes from time to time followed by a cry of pain.

It was Toga, with her defense and agility enhanced to the next level by her new armor.

She was going crazy, enjoying the feeling of slaughter with excited eyes.

"I wonder when I'll get mine..."

She said in a jealous voice and smashed the head if the goon hiding on her left.

Mr. Compass nodded in agreement, looking at Mechamaru's back in anticipation.

Spinner clicked his tongue, and although he didn't show it, he was a little excited.

Twice...was depressed, since it was him who brought Overhaul over.

In no time, Shigaraki and Mechamaru appeared before a solid metal door.

Seeing Mechamaru stop, Shigaraki asked.

"Is it here?"

Seeing Mechamaru nod his head, Shigaraki touched the door, turning it to dust, and revealing the inside.

"Hmm, there's nothing here."

Shigaraki tilted his head and looked at the small empty room with a single bed.

Suddenly his eyes caught a small movement, there was something hiding behind the bed.

As he looked closer, he saw a head full of white hair, peeking out from behind the bed.

His eyes met with a pair of red ones.

As soon as it did, the other party hurriedly pulled her head down.

"Oh, it's a brat."

Shigaraki concluded, feeling confused.

At the same time, Mechanaru walked up to the bed and said in a calm voice.

"Come out."

But it seems his voice fell deaf to the other party's ears.

Time passed.

Feeling impatient, Shigaraki suddenly opened his mouth and said.

"Brat come out or I'll kill you."

Followed by his voice, a hesitant head suddenly peaked out from behind the bed.

The big pair of red eyes looked at them in confusion and hesitation.

Just then her gaze collided with Shigaraki's, his piercing eyes made her take a step back in fear.

But remembering his words, she bit down on her lips and slowly walked out from behind the bed.

Since Shigaraki scared her, she naturally stood in front of Mechamaru, trying to avoid Shigaraki's line of sight.

At the same time, she was attracted by Mechamaru's appearance, it was the first time she saw someone like him, and it made her a little curious and scared at the same time.

Suddenly a mechanical voice reached her ears.

"Can you tell me your name?"

After hesitating for a moment she lowered her head and said in a small voice.

"Eri...."

Suddenly a sound of something moving came into her ears, raising her head she was surprised by Mechamaru who suddenly went down on one knee, lookinv straight into her eyes.

His green unblinking eyes made her feel nervous.

"My name is Mechamaru."

"Mecha-maru?"

She repeated, finding it a little hard to say at once.

"Then Eri..."

Mechamaru extended his hand towards her.

"Would you like to come with me?"

Seeing his outstretched hand, Eri lowered her head and grabbed her bandaged arm.

".....are you also going to hurt me too?"

She asked in a small voice.

Her tone was without a hint of expectation.

Shigaraki narrowed his eyes.

"I won't hurt you."

Eri slowly raised her head and looked at Mecbamaru.

"Really?", she asked again as if to confirm.

"Yes."

Mechamaru replied plainly.

But even after his promise, Eri didn't feel relieved.

It seems she didn't trust them.

But it was okay.

"I'll ask again, would you like to come with us?"

Trust cannot be built in a matter of seconds, it takes time.

"That.....I'm sorry but I can't touch you....you will get hurt....."

"It is alright."

Mechamru raised his hand and lightly patted her head.

Her quirk rewind only worked on living beings, since he was a robot, it was ineffective.

Feeling the cold touch on her head, Eri widened her eyes in disbelief.

Then under her surprised gaze, Mechamaru placed his hands under her armpits and sat her down on top of his shoulders.

"T-this.....this....."

Eri felt confused by the sudden increase in height, she instinctively wrapped her hands around Mechamaru's head for support.

"Let's go."

"Mechamaru what's up with the kid?", Shigaraki who couldn't contain his curiosity, finally asked.

"She is our newest member."

"This brat?"

Shigaraki pointed at her in confusion.

"Her name is Eri, and yes she is our new friend."

Mecamaru stood up and left the room, leaving Shigaraki who scratched his neck before shrugging his shoulders and following behind them.

On the way, they met the other team members who looked at Mechamaru's head in surprise.

A red armor with a long skirt covered in blood suddenly appeared in front of them, it's head armor opened up revealing Toga's familiar face.

"Mecha-chan! What's that little thing?!"

Toga asked in a loud voice, pointing at Eri who looked back at her with blinking eyes.

Seeing Eri's big red eyes, suddenly melted her heart making her feel all bubbly inside.

"C-Cuutteee~~"

Her face flushed, and she extended her arms towards Eri with unpure intentions.

"Here~ Here~ come to sister Toga~"

Eri blinked at her twice, then lowered her head, avoiding her gaze.

Toga froze in place.

Mechamaru silently walked past her.

He met Dabi soon after.

"Oh Mechamaru, care to guess how many kills I scored?....."

Dabi's voice froze when he noticed Eri's red eyes peeking out from behind Mechmaru's head.

"What's up with the brat?"

His reaction was similar to Shigaraki's.

"New companion."

Mechamaru replied plainly and moved forward, leaving behind the stunned Dabi.

Then he met Twice, Magne, and Mr Compass walking together.

Mr Compass was straightforward.

"Oh, Hello young lady."

He bowed in a gentlemanly way, pulling down his hat, then suddenly taking out chocolate from inside it, stunning Eri.

"Don't touch her directly."

Hearing Mechamaru's warning, Mr Compass narrowed his eyes and carefully gave the chocolate to Eri, making sure to not touch her.

"Go and grab anything valuable."

Before the others could say anything, Mechamaru waved his hand and sent them away.

Then he started making his way back to their base.

While he was making his way forward.

"Um....Mec-ha-maru...."

Eri said in a hesitant voice.

"What is it?"

"That.....are we friends?....."

She tightened her grip around his head, remembering what he said before.

"Of course, I am your friend Mechamaru."

Eri's grip relaxed a little as she thought in her mind.

Friends...

After a weird turn of events, she somehow got her new group of friends.

Ps: I know you guys haven't reached the power stone goal, but I was bored so I wrote one anyway, lucky you.

Btw has anyone of you read 'Global Game: AFK In The Zombie Apocalypse Game' ? For me it's even a little better than Legendary Mechanic but I haven't seen many people talk about it. What are your thoughts? if you know any hidden gems like this please enlighten me, of course, the chances of me having not read it would be close to zero but you can give it a try.

Also I recently uploaded the overlord fanfic on this account which made be want to write this fanfic in the first place, you can read it if you want before it gets banned by web novel, it's definitely the best overlord fanfic i have read has like 170 chaps but i only uploaded 50 of them.
